[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 54409] AutoCorrect not correcting word next to smart/curved quote-mark (single or double)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=54409 --- Comment #17 from Tom Colley --- As requested recently by @tommy27 in Comment 15, I tested for the bug with a recent linux version of LibreOffice; Version 6.0.6.2 on Ubuntu 18.04LTS 64-bit. This bug is still reproducible as per description in original report. I also compared the effect of turning smart quotes on and off (all words entered as acn, not can): SMART/CURVED QUOTES TURNED OFF can can "can "can" 'can 'can' can' SMART/CURVED QUOTES TURNED ON can can “acn “acn” acn” ‘acn ‘acn’ acn’ To turn smart quotes on and off, see (for example) Go to Tools > Autocorrect > Autocorrect Options > Localized Options Tab Check/uncheck the boxes next to Start Quote Replace and End Quote Replace. I'm guessing the fix for this bug involves updating underlying code for Autocorrection to take account of the additional unicode symbols associated with smart quotes. That is not a "bug" confirmation rather, it is the CSV import filter correctly responding for a column with "Standard" logic to what is a valid number. Correct usage is to change the field to Text as there is no other pattern recognition in Standard to hand IPv4 or IPv6 notation. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119738] New: Image caption, inconsistency: caption for images is now "figure" and no longer "illustration"
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119738 Bug ID: 119738 Summary: Image caption, inconsistency: caption for images is now "figure" and no longer "illustration" Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.1.0.1 rc Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: gerhard.we...@t-online.de It seems that a new category "figure" was introduced in 6.1 for captions (see also bug 58407, where this was proposed, and, looking at the comments, obviously was realised in some way). But now there is the problem that documents created in an older version still use "illustration", so if you add new images, they get a different category, and the numbering starts again with 1. Steps to reproduce: create a Writer document in 6.0 or earlier insert an image and add a caption to it; the caption will be of category "illustration", the number will be 1. save the document and close it. now open it in 6.1 or 6.2, insert another image and add a caption: the category will be "figure", the number will be 1 again. I have tested that with several versions of 6.1 and with 6.2.0.0alpha. If I look at the menu item Insert -> Field -> More Fields... -> Number Range I see both figure and illustration; the intent of bug 58407, as I understand, was to *change* the name, not to add another category. This will certainly cause many troubles when people start using 6.1 to a major extent, including LibreOffice's own documentation. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

But same hardware, with screen resolution reduced to 1680 x 1050px ~165ppi and 100% UI scaling--all icon themes render cleanly. Same hardware at 1680 x 1050px ~165ppi, set UI scaling to 150%. The icon theme corruption occurs. At UI scaling of 125% (so the 32px PNG are used, right?), no corruption. So, not the absolute ppi value of the hardware, or as set from the DE. Lower margin is the trigger for the bug. Scale of trimming depends mostly on font size and content, so "VII 18" (bold size 8) was reduced to "VII" one size higher, with plenty of space around (50-80% free), no change when trying to ease the problem using two rows etc. Sometimes down to single character. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119731 Bug ID: 119731 Summary: Calc: Not Suitable Group and Ungroup Icon Representation Product: LibreOffice Version: Inherited From OOo Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: riz_17_...@yahoo.co.id Description: As we know Calc has a feature to simplify outline view with Group and Ungroup. Unfortunately, current icon implementation of these two functions are misleading. They are using same icon with other module that represent action with "shape" instead of "cell". There's no specific :uno command for these icons so it seems we should hard code to change, not just changing the icon. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Calc 2. Navigate to Data menu > Group and Outline > [Group...] or [Ungroup...] Actual Results: Calc's Group and Ungroup icon use wrong icon representation Expected Results: Calc's Group and Group use proper icons Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119720 --- Comment #4 from Jan-Marek Glogowski --- This is probably a Debian / newer Qt5 bug. * I *can not* reproduce in my Ubuntu Bionic 18.04 chroot with either qt5 or kde5 backend. The chroot has Qt 5.9.5. * I *can* reproduce the bug with Debian testing, which currently has Qt 5.11.1. FWIW my build is done in the Bionic chroot, but runs just fine on Debian too. The build is based on e75c8384c466 (origin/master, origin/HEAD) tdf#119036 - Inserting columns into RTL sheets will add them to the wrong side but has some additional Windows fixes for bug 119302, which are VCL Windows-only, so unrelated. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119332] Replacement of SVGFilter by SVGIO still causing regressions and breaking extensions (e.g. TeXMaths)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119332 --- Comment #3 from sergio.calleg...@gmail.com --- Tested with 6.1.1RC1, cannot get the same measurements. With a+b/c-d\times e = f I am also getting 9.96264pt in the temporary svg file which should be about 3.51 mm (assuming 72 pt/inch). For that formula, TeXMaths in svg mode produces in the above mentioned version of draw an image that is 4.23 mm high. For that very same formula TeXMaths in png mode produces in the same LibO draw an image that is 4.94 mm high. Interestingly, the temporary png file is 84 pixel high, at a 96 pixel/inch resolution, that is 22 mm high. If I try inserting directly those svg and png images by insert->image, they come out 3.77 and 22 mm respectively. If I do the same tests with LibO 6.0 I get that the svg image generated by TeXMath is still intrinsically 9.96264pt high, but that it gets inserted by TeXMaths as an image that is 4.93 mm high. Inserting the temporary svg file generated by TexMaths by image->insert, I still get an image that is 3.77 mm high, just as in LibO 6.1.1 RC1. My impression from these numbers is that: - The tools that TeXMaths uses to generate svg or png images result in some scalings that TeXMaths tries to internally compensate. - When inserting svg images "programmatically" rather than via insert->image LibO <= 6.0 and LibO 6.1 do different things. This may be a regression, however, the impression I am getting is that it is LibO 6.1 that does the right thing. - Because TeXMaths uses the programmatic interface and the same scaling compensation for all LibO versions, the results one gets in LibO <= 6.0 and LibO 6.1 are different. Furthermore, because TeXMaths uses the scaling compensation that works fine in LibO <= 6.0, the results look wrong in 6.1. If these considerations are right, what happens in LibO 6.1 is not a regression, rather the fixing of a bug in previous LibO versions. In this case, it should be TeXMaths to be fixed, to now use a correct scaling compensation (or possibly two, differentiating the behavior for LibO <= 6.0 and >= 6.0). Now, my knowledge of StarBasic and its LibO API is too poor to check the TeXMaths code myself. However, I hope that the TeXMaths author can have a word here before we close the bug. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
