[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 122149] Libreoffice gives access to the same file (for other Users) with a different UID/GID in Servermode

2019-01-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122149

Here is a Use case to understand the Problem a little bit better:

There are two Users. Max (who created the file) and Tom (who wants to change
the File)

Max was able to change the lo-file into a pdf via servermode:

unoconv -c "socket,host=127.0.0.1,port=1;urp;StarOffice.ComponentContext"
file.odt

After this Tom wants to overwrite the pdf. So he changed the rights to

-rw--w 1 nsanli nsanli 49689 Jan 18 15:00 file.odt

and was able to overwrite the old pdf with

"socket,host=127.0.0.1,port=1;urp;StarOffice.ComponentContext"
/home/Max/file.odt

-

And also after Tom has changed the rights to:

-rw--- 1 Max Max 49689 Jan 18 15:00 file.odt
-rw--- 1 Max Max 91699 Jan 18 15:06 file.pdf

Tom was able to overwrite both files and the files are still owned by Max who
hasn't touched them anymore.

So it's possible for Tom to make changes in the name from Max. Without max
knowing that he made this changes.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 122521] New: JOIN() appends the separator

2019-01-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122521

Bug ID: 122521
   Summary: JOIN() appends the separator
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.3.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: BASIC
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: bruce.axt...@gmail.com

Description:
JOIN() should use the second parameter as a separator rather than as an element
terminator. Currently, in Calc macros, the JOIN function returns the array as
separator-joined string but with the separator appended. This is a BAD thing.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a macro (in this case called "goofyJoin" and enter the following code
public function goofyJoin(byval R as range) as string
if not isarray(R) then
msgbox "no range selected"
exit function
end if
dim result(ubound(R)) as string
dim c as integer
c = 0
dim v as variant
for each v in R
result(c) = v
c=c+1
next
dim out as string
out = join(result,",")
goofyJoin = out
end function
2. In a spreadsheet, create a range of numbers.
3. In a nearby cell enter the formula =goofyJoin() and give it the previously
defined range and the separator (e.g. ",")

Actual Results:
The range is joined appropriately, but the separator is also appended.

Expected Results:
The range joined with the separator used as a "separator"

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Currently I handle this with
if right(out,1) = "," then
out = mid(out,1,len(out)-1)
end if

The issue came up when using Calc to build JSON

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 114273] Gradient settings do not take effect when formatting chart wall

2019-01-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114273

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

Styles menu after XML fiddling (LO Writer 6.0.7.3, MacOS 10.12)

All but one menu item available after fiddling with menubar.xml file, replacing
"%20" with spaces. Missing in the menu is "Quotation" character style.

Confirming that Kribly Krably suggestion for edits of menubar.xml partially
fixes the problem for me.

All Styles menu items appear now except for "Quotation" character style. I can
see its entry in the menubar.xml but there is no %20 character entity to
replace, nor any other variations from adjacent menu items.

2019-01-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 122520
Summary: primary key in a primary-foreign key relationship can
not contain a capital letter
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.0.1 rc
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Base
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: elderdanle...@gmail.com

Created attachment 148080
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=148080=edit
Seen with Tools > Relationships

I use MySQL 8.0.13 as my back end and connect Base to it using MySQL(JDBC)
connector 8.0.13. I create two tables which have a primary-foreign key pair. If
the primary key contains any caps, then a fictitious relationship is created.
Example: primary key name: Qt_id and foreign key name:
Qt_id. The relationship created is between qt_id and Qt_id (primary and foreign
key, resp.)
I have attached three screenshots. The first one shows the tables in Tools >
Relationships. The second one shows the fields which are related. The third one
shows the primary-foreign key pair relationship in MySQL Workbench. (It is also
version 8.0.13.)

I'm seeing this problem in LO Writer 6.0.7.3, MacOS 10.12.

Don't recall when Styles menu gaps first appeared but I installed/uninstalled
LO beta not that long ago in attempt to fix a different problem (Bug 122145).
Related perhaps?

this need dev work first before we can fix this bug cause the sidebar use the
trackchangesbar icon so first the sidebar has to have there own icon, before we
can fix this bug.

from my point of view it's an wfm, in addition as the manage changes sidebar is
in experimental (which it shouldn't)

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 122437] MySQL native connector: Creating foreign key creates a relationship to the foreign key itself

The relationships were created in a new database back in 2014 or earlier
using whatever LibreOffice was current at the time. I have been using this
database ever since upgrading LO as new versions became available. If my memory
is correct, I was still using the MySQL connector extension last spring that I
had created back in 2013 to connect to MySQL.
I should also mention that at the time I filed this bug, I was using MySQL
5.7. along with MySQL Workbook 8.0.13. The relationships were working in
Workbook then. However, after making sure I had a connection between Workbook
and Base and had saved these relationships, I opened a Base database using the
native MySQL connector. That is when I saw that the relationships were wrong.
I have since upgraded MySQL to version 8.0.13 and also have the MySQL(JDBC)
8.0.13 driver which I can use with LO 6.2.0.1 to access MySQL with apparently
no problems. (The native MySQL connector will no longer connect to the MySQL
database. A different problem, I know.)

This is also an internal consistency issue. For example, the measurement unit
Table -> Table Properties -> Borders -> Line Width = pt.
Shape -> Line -> Line Properties -> Line Width =

We are correctly using the natural measurement unit in one dialog, while using
a nonstandard, user-defined unit in the other. A consistent UI is part of a
good UI design.

soffice.bin's icons are the same icons that are included into .exe files; they
do have the transparent background. The problem seems to be that Windows

I created four screenshots to show there is no need to do a redesign, only to
add transparent background on all icons embedded at
"%ProgramFiles%\LibreOffice\program\soffice.bin" (the file that is referenced
at "DefaultIcon" subkeys on every HKLM\Software\Classes\LibreOffice.).

Detailed explanation:

* When showing a shorcut file icon, Windows gets its' icon path from the .lnk
file itself. In the case of LibreOffice's Start Menu program folder, the icons
come from
soffice.exe/sbase.exe/scalc.exe/sdraw.exe/simpress.exe/smath.exe/swriter.exe.
Those icons have transparent background and so they appear correctly on Light
Mode and Dark Mode, i.e., without black or white background square because
transparent means the color behind the icon, as two of the attached pictures
shows.

* When showing the Start Menu LibreOffice icons, Windows gets its' icons the
same way on the earlier paragraph. As those icons have transparent background,
doesn't matter the color the Start Menu is, Windows never shows a white
background behind them, and so the Start Menu accent color is shown behind
those icons.

* When showing the Open With shortcut menu, Windows gets its' icon path from
the Registry key at HKLM\Software\Classes\LibreOffice.\DefaultIcon, which is
"%ProgramFiles%\LibreOffice\program\soffice.bin,", because
either HKLM\Software\Classes\\(Default),
HKLM\Software\Classes\\OpenWithList subkeys or
HKLM\Software\Classes\\OpenWithProgIDs\(Default) points to it.
In this case, those icons doesn't have transparent backgrounds, but white
backgrounds, and so Windows paints the white background as a white square
behind the icon.

tdf#105975 Add Formula field parsing (docx) in SWriter

Introduction

In MSWord, you can create a formula field (starting with =).
When you save your file as `docx`, this `FORMULA` field is registered
in you file (a field starting with `=`). In its current state,
LibreOffice can't parse the `FORMULA` field in `docx` file.

Context of this fix
---

This fix is entirely located in the `DomainMapper_Impl.cxx` file
because it's where the parsing is done.

How this fix works
--

First, we add `FORMULA` support by adding it to the `aFields[]`
variable.
Next, to handle the `FORMULA` constant, we add a condition (swith case)
in
`DomainMapper_Impl::CloseFieldCommand()` to call `handleFieldFormula`.

Note

In function `lcl_ExtractToken`, if command starts with `=`, it's a
`FORMULA` field.

It's a core function, admittedly not critical but still relevant. So I'd treat

In my opinion as an end-user,
fontwork should be named like all other objects.
It makes them usage more easily and prevents confusion,
why should the end-user think to giving the fontwork an name if he want it
selectable in the navigator. Everyone would think its a bug, no matter it has a
technicaly reason for it or not.

So if the fontwork get no name, i bet this will reported as bug again sometime.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 122517] New: LO writer only web styles and char properties available with right-clic

2019-01-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122517

Bug ID: 122517
Summary: LO writer only web styles and char properties
available with right-clic
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.0.1 rc
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: thierry.seew...@laposte.net

Description:
Hi,
When I make a right-clic in a writer text (whatever text, old or new), I don't
have the stadard menu, but a menu related to HTML, i.e. for paragraph, I have a
submenu linked to web items (body, head 1, head 2...) and not a paragraph
menu-window, for char I have a submenu (and not a char menu-window), with only
web char items.
It is as if I was in a web mode, but I am in the standard page mode.
I have tried the safe mode (with various options), I have uninstalled et
reinstalled, erased the directories, I always have a web menu.
All other menus are allright, with all features, it's only the right-clic menu.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Right-clic in a page
2. clic on paragraph
3.

Actual Results:
a submenu opens on the right with only web paragraph options

Expected Results:
A window should open with paragraph options

Reproducible: Always

Dan :

You don't mention how you created the relations.

1) Via the mysql commqnd line or another DBMS tool ;
2) Via drag and drop using the LO relations editor
3) Via the Relations menu dialog (Add relation button).

I'm assuming via the LO GUI but it would be nice to have those details fro

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 122516] New: Mysql/MariaDB - native connector timestamp values displayed as floating numbers in Table data entry mode

2019-01-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122516

Bug ID: 122516
Summary: Mysql/MariaDB - native connector timestamp values
displayed as floating numbers in Table data entry mode
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Base
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ipla...@tuta.io

Description:
1) Create the following mysql/mariadb table from the mysql command line :

create table employee (ID INT(10) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT PRIMARY KEY, fname
varchar(30), lname varchar(50), ts timestamp DEFAULT CURRENT_TIMESTAMP ON
UPDATE CURRENT_TIMESTAMP);

Add some data to the table :

INSERT into employee vALUES (NULL,'Peter','Haven',NULL);
INSERT into employee vALUES (NULL,'Anne','Jones',NULL);
INSERT into employee vALUES (NULL,'Lars','Hedegaard',NULL);

2) Create an ODB file that connects to the database containing the table.
Double-click on the table entry 'employee' in the list of tables.

3) Notice how the timestamp fields are displayed as a DECIMAL value and is
incorrect as it clearly represents a rounded value.

4) The display format can be changed for the current session to display the
timestamp values, but this is not saved on shutdown and reload of the ODB file.

5) Point (4) is at best a temporary and transitory workaround, as the grid view
should display the timestamp value rather than some converted decimal value.

Steps to Reproduce:
See above

Actual Results:
Incorrect (and inprecise) conversion of timestamp values to decimal value in
table data entry mode (grid view).

Expected Results:
The timestamp values should be displayed as they actually exist in the DB.

Reproducible: Always

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117160] Solid color background on Impress and Draw leaves top and left 1px white/blank when exporting to PNG

2019-01-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117160

If both the height and width of a given page in Draw are set to exact multiples
of 96 DPI, the lines do not appear.

For example, 10.00" wide and 9.40" inches high produces a page that is 960 x
902 pixels and does not result in white lines top and left.

Setting a document's proportions to fractions of inches that do not
subsequently result in a full multiple of 96 dpi will create the white lines,
either top and left or both.

This is still an error. Gravit Designer, Paint.net, and other programs permit
any dimension to be set on a document, resulting in something other than a full
multiple of 96 DPI, without producing such a white line top and left.
