Well - downloading from the URL indicated in comment 2 today, I get the file
that has checksums identical to those at
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/6.1.4.2/win/x86_64/LibreOffice_6.1.4.2_Win_x64_helppack_fr.msi.mirrorlist

I use Windows Defender, and it doesn't throw any detections (possibly because
of signatures updated since comment 3, or maybe the mirror now has the proper
file?).

So either the mirror is fixed, or that was a false positive.

Closing WORKSFORME.

Agreed, having more than one theme available locally makes it convenient to
switch between, let's say day and night. That's requested in bug 61311 (and
regarding extensions in bug 120406).

The second idea about multiselection at the download dialog is obsolete now
since the access got speed up significantly. And eventually I'd prefer to have
no dialog at all but list the first couple of available themes directly under
the radiobutton (with means to load more).

Okay, lets see if a developer takes this.

The solution could be based on the existing "edit" function. That brings you
into the field edit dialog where we could add an Edit button next to Add which
changes the item selected below according the text at Item. Additionally, the
Item should take the content from the list on double-click.

Might be an easyhack.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 101646] UI option "Scaling" was removed

2019-01-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101646

My apologies, but do the decision-makers even understand the issue raised here
(and in #67372)?? For I, for example, did not understand at all the reason for
closing #67372 (which, incidentally, is actually NOT a duplicate of this
#101646), and I do not actually understand the argumentation for these options
removal.

I *believe* the end-user *might* "legitimately" wish to independently change UI
font face AND UI font size AND the scale of UI elements, to better suite one's
current requirements on application *usability*.

The bulk of actual work is done in applications, not in desktop environments.
And even applications may differ w/r to their requirements for the text
display.

When I'm working with a text or a diagram, I don't even get to see the desktop
space, as the app's space is maximised. The OOO is multi-platform, I might work
as a guest, with a portable installation, etc.

Now, one actually must have legible text in Writer/Draw menus and dialogs, as
those are used frequently, as opposite to, say, web browser. (and no, countless
toolbars or whatever they are called now--stripes? ribbons? do not decisively
help here; I have many of those switched on, but only for addons; BTW, new LO
icons are rather indistinguishable, both from each other and from background)

Also, in OOO you might want to make the graphic parts of dialogs (say, color or
hatching samples) bigger, without tying those changes to the text size. Or you
might want different UI font face and/or size. And you might want to make those
changes just for the brief period, e.g., for the screen-cast, or when your eyes
are tired, or when you work in sub-optimal lighting conditions, etc.

Now, I'm a OOO user with about 20 years of experience, principally doing lots
of text with graphics. But I do not participate in the OOO development. Does my
opinion actually count?

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';

Warm Regards,
QA Team

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 122750] New: Why was SVM removed from Export?

2019-01-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122750

Bug ID: 122750
Summary: Why was SVM removed from Export?
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.7.3 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: medium
 Component: Draw
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: fz1...@gmail.com

Description:
Maybe this is not a bug, but "by design". But I have to complain that SVM is no
longer available as an export format in LibreOffice Draw 6.0.7.3 (it was
probably dropped around 6.0).

The reason why this format was so useful is that it was the ONLY format that
reliably worked for taking diagrams from DRAW and importing into WRITER.

SVG export sometimes works, but often fails with more complex text formatting,
or for certain objects (like curly brackets...I think it includes an extra
dot).

EMF doesn't always work, any white areas added to label backgrounds in arrows
fail to show, among others.

SVM was the ONLY format that always worked with everything: text, objects,
gradients, etc. Now it's gone from DRAW.

My only workaround for drawings that won't export properly to EMF or SVG is to
export the drawing to PDF, then import the PDF into Inkscape, and then export
to SVG. This usually works, but it's an extra step.

Why do we have to remove stuff that works?

Steps to Reproduce:
Example A:
1. Create New DRAW page.
2. Insert curly brace from Symbols.
3. Rotate 90 degrees.
4. Export to SVG.
5. Import to WRITER.

Example B:
1. Create New DRAW Page.
2. Insert an Arrow with a stem.
3. Double-click the stem to add a label.
4. Type some text.
5. Select the text and apply a white Highlight (background).
6. Export to EMF and SVG.
7. Import either of these into WRITER.

Actual Results:
Example A: Brace has an extra black dot beside it.
Example B: The Highlight is not showing and the stem of the arrow goes through
the text.

Expected Results:
No black dot, highlighting to be still applied.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
These are two simple examples. I usually work with more complex diagrams that
have many elements and blocks of text, so I would have to look through my past
work to find a better example, if there is any interest in this problem. For
me, at least, SVM export in DRAW would be very useful.

Please note that I've also tried copy/pasting a drawing from DRAW into WRITER
and this does not often give a good result, so export/import seems to be
necessary, except for the most simple elements.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121023] Writer: Table Contents text is always set to Liberation Serif 12 despite 'Basic Fonts' settings

2019-01-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121023

Hi All,

In the Insert Table Dialog (Menu->Table->Insert Table), Default Style is the
default choice in the Styles list box. A table with any table style applied
will overwrite direct formatting. This is what is happening here.

Selecting None in the Style list box will create a table that will not have a
table style. Direct formatting will not be overwritten. The Table tool button
creates tables with no style assigned.

The regression commit found was reverted shortly after it was introduced.

  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: jeremy.w.ma...@gmail.com

Description:
The Extension Manager dialog freezes after installing an extension on Mac for
LibreOffice version 6.1.4.2. This issue only affects Mac. Windows and Linux
are fine. This issue does NOT occur in version 6.0.7.3. After this bug
freezes the Extension Manager dialog you have to quit LibreOffice--when you

https://extensions.libreoffice.org/extensions/code-highlighter, but affects all
extension I tried.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.On Mac, using version 6.1.4.2 open Writer
2.From the Extension Manager try to install an extension, for example "Code

4.The dialog will freeze

Actual Results:
The Extension Manager dialog will freeze after installing the extension.

Expected Results:
The Extension Manager dialog should not freeze after installing the extension.

Bug ID: 122748
Summary: Wrong language ([None]) in Spelling dialog if no
errors found, and switching languages doesn't work
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Linguistic
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ba...@caesar.elte.hu

- Enter a piece of text with correct spelling in the given language, and open
Tools -> Spelling...
- Close the information dialog that says the spell check is complete.

=> Text language is set to [None].

=> Changing to any other language doesn't work, it stays as [None].

Observed using LO 6.2.0.2 & 5.1.0.3 / Windows 7.
In 5.0.0.5 Spelling dialog closes together with the information dialog.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 122746] New: OLE activating works in edit mode but not in show mode

2019-01-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122746

Bug ID: 122746
Summary: OLE activating works in edit mode but not in show mode
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: Inherited From OOo
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: low
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: rb.hensc...@t-online.de

Presentation with OLE objects for testing

The attached document has OLE objects on the slides. They have the interaction
"Start object action" assigned. This command is only available for OLE objects.
When assigning it, the list provides all available verbs. That are the same
verbs as in Edit > Object.

Slide 1 has a document as OLE from WordPad with verb "Edit". "Open" would be
available too. It works in edit mode and show mode.

Slide 2 has a pdf-file as OLE. In edit mode it opens Acrobat Reader for me.

Slide 3 has Math-Objects, one with verb "Edit", the other with verb "Save Copy
as...".

Slide 4 has a Chart-Object with verb "Edit".

Slides 2, 3 and 4, work in edit mode, but not in show mode.

Expected behavior: At least the own document types should work in show mode
too.

Long time ago, it had worked in OOo1.1.5 with sxi format, but it was already
broken in OOo2.4.3.

[I come across this error, while testing presentation:event-listener
attributes.]

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 122745] New: Taskbar pinning

2019-01-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122745

Bug ID: 122745
   Summary: Taskbar pinning
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: dibb...@talktalk.net

Description:
Earlier versions (including 6) allowed the program icons, eg Calc, to be pinned
to the Taskbar and then opened files could be pinned to that same icon on the
taskbar. The later version (6.0.7.3. x64 bit) pins the program and asks the
user to open it then another program icon appears on the taskbar that has the
pinned opened items displayed. This means opening a blank document then
opening a pinned item - twice the work for no gain! Please revert to the
previous option. I am using Windows 7 Pro.

Steps to Reproduce:
See Description box above

Actual Results:
See Description box above

Expected Results:
Pin previous files to the sole icon on the taskbar

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Pin previous files to the sole icon on the taskbar

Apparently I can not - thought I had saved a snap shot of it before all the
tracked changes were cleared but seems not to be the case.

So - I do another one, a little bigger, with a fairly large set of tracked
changes still. Could try this again with a couple of folks from the
documentation team meeting tomorrow and see if it acts similarly. If so I'll
use that, if not I guess close the issue as being unable to duplicate it.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121560] Multiple but not all worksheets completely suddenly blank

2019-01-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121560

"You don't say where exactly loss reoccurred, I see that "Losses - Legend" is
empty."

Same tab, "Losses - Legend", completely blank. Although the formatting was
intact; column sizes mainly.

"Sorry for changing to Needinfo but bug report makes sense for reproducible and
clear issue. So far, not enough to confirm."

Bug reports make sense for bugs. Which this is, as I have never purposefully
performed a "delete all content" action for any tab in this workbook, ever.
Thus the loss of data is a bug.

Would it be nice if it was demand-reproducible? Yes. I'm a programmer. I am
very familiar with debugging.
As of right now, it is not demand-reproducible, but, it does occur from time to
time, so it is reproducible.

So I agree with Needinfo; reproduction steps are required.

Since we don't have those, but do have a situation where the bug occurs,
suggesting debugging steps would be much appreciated. I tried turning on the
Edit -> Track Changes -> Record Changes thing but it produces way too much info
that requires user interaction. If it record changes silently, like Google's
Sheet's versioning, that would be ideal.

I've come to suspect that there is a mouse-based action, perhaps interacting
with the worksheet tabs and/or tabs bar, that is in fact "delete all content",
but I haven't found any documentation on anything like that.
The reason I suspect this is because I'm often mouse-grabbing the horizontal
scroll bar, just near the "Losses - Legend" tab, to scroll horizontally, AND, I
often miss the scroll bar (because it is way too thin, a different issue) and
grab the tabs instead.

LibreOffice Online use the icons from the icon theme and also don't use bold

That's the behavior I suggest. Maybe an icon can be used, but I don't know the

LIKELY TO EXPOSE SECTION EXPORT/IMPORT PROBLEMS. That is already happening
somewhat because support for forms/protected sections was added in LO6.2. By
making this change in 6.3, it will help to expose problems faster, with the
hope that they can still be fixed for 6.2.

Therefore, I hope to re-evaluate this at the end of the 6.3 and determine
whether I'm comfortable leaving it in place, or whether it is too risky and
should be reverted. I've solved about 6 different section bugs in the week
prior to pushing this commit...
