[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 123606] New: FORMATTING: Text moves to the left when font size becomes too large, when Autofit Text function is on
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123606 Bug ID: 123606 Summary: FORMATTING: Text moves to the left when font size becomes too large, when Autofit Text function is on Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.0.7.3 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Impress Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: j...@linux.com Description: When Autofit Text function is on, and when text height becomes as large as the height of the text box, trying to increase the font size causes the text to move to the left, onto the bullet point. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create new "Title, Content" slide. 2. Input text into the content area. (This may be easier to reproduce if there are several lines of text.) 3. Select the text and increase the font size until the font becomes as large as the text box. 4. Use the increase font size button to try to keep increasing the font size. Actual Results: Text moves to the left while the font tries to increase in size. When the text is aligned center or right, the bullet (instead of the text) moves to the left. Expected Results: Text should remain at its alignment. Or, "increase font size" should be greyed out when the text height meets the height of the text box. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 6.0.7.3 Build ID: 1:6.0.7-0ubuntu0.18.04.2 CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3; Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); Calc: group -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 50916] Allow more than 1024 columns in calc
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50916 --- Comment #72 from Emily Mabrey --- Is making a truly dynamic sheet even needed? Excel only allows a static number of columns and a static number of rows and it seems like a massive undertaking for such a seemingly niche application. Excel 2016/ M365 supports 1,048,576 rows or 16,384 columns as that static limit. Looking over the comments I can see that there may have already been an effort to produce a dynamically sized sheet. Has anyone done testing to see if the dynamic sheet comes with any performance penalty? If so it might be wise to use a large static value under most cases and allow the dynamic sizing as a niche option with an opt-in configuration. That would prevent constant allocation/frees around when adding and removing rows and cols if that does turn out to be a performance problem. I would look into the performance consequences myself, but I am brand-new to this project and wholly unfamiliar with the code base and procedures for performance monitoring of this project. If anyone could point me to some guiding documentations I would be willing to make an effort at fulfilling my own request. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 123602] New: Spacing changes when .odt file opened with more recent version of Writer
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123602 Bug ID: 123602 Summary: Spacing changes when .odt file opened with more recent version of Writer Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.1.4.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: con...@fastmail.fm Description: I made an .odt file containing text, styles, &c. I exported it as a PDF on 4 September 2018. I opened the same .odt file today (21 February 2019) and the spacing of the document has changed. It is compressed – the spacing of lines is closer – compared to when I last opened it. I can confirm this because I have the PDF, and it is very clearly different. I cannot say for sure (because I do not wish to install the version of LibreOffice the was current on Ubuntu on 4 September 2018 to check) but I think that – at the minimum – all of the double spacing set in styles was changed to 1.5 spacing. I cannot provide the documents because they contain sensitive information. Now I think of it, I have had this problem with other .odt files, but I have not so clearly noticed it until now. The PDF's properties says 'producer' was 'LibreOffice 6.0'. I am using Ubuntu 18.10, and LibreOffice is updated on my system by Ubuntu (i.e. I am not using a .deb file from LibreOffice.org or some other repo. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create .odt file on 4 September 2018 2. Export that file with built-in PDF export 3. Open .odt file on 21 February 2019 Actual Results: Spacing in .odt file was compressed compared to when it was originally saved. Expected Results: Spacing in .odt file was the same as when it was originally saved. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123582 --- Comment #4 from Martin van Zijl --- Apologies, I must have accidentally introduced this bug in my patch. For now, I suggest we reverse my patch, like below: if ( !bOverSelect ) // <-- add this if statement again { MoveCursor( rSh, aDocPos, bOnlyText, bLockView ); bCallBase = false; } ...since dragging text is probably more useful than decreasing the selection with shift-click. I hope to try making it work for both scenarios, perhaps by setting bCallBase to true, or moving logic into the case statement on top of the method. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 123597] IsNew not set for new data forms - was OK in 6.1.5
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123597 t...@tim-passingham.co.uk changed: What|Removed |Added CC||t...@tim-passingham.co.uk --- Comment #1 from t...@tim-passingham.co.uk --- I have found a work around for this problem. It seems that the timing of events has changed. Previously there was time for the form and record to be marked as new one it had been opened before the 'after change' event was triggered. In 6.2.1.1 that wasn't true, but the IsNew status did get set later on. However, Having gone back to 6.1.5.1 and got things working with some possible workarounds, I installed 6.2.1 from Libreoffice (not ubuntu ppa), and found it was very unstable, crashing a lot. I changed from Mysql(Native) to MySql(JDBC), only to find that the mysql java jdbc connector doesn't work any more for Mariadb, so found and installed the Mariadb one. Now 6.2.1.1 worked OK (so far at least) so I upgraded again to the ubuntu pre-release, and re-installed the libreoffice-mysql-connector. However, that seems to be invisible when trying to change the database connection back to Native. To conclude, in 6.2.2.1: 1. There seem to be timing changes for form open events that mean some macros may fail (in my case the IsNew function) 2. Has Mysql(Native) been dropped for mariadb (or all mysql)? Apologies for the stream-of-consciousness and testing nature of this report. I appreciate there may end up be 0, 1 or 2 faults here. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 123599] New: New wizard for filling bank checks
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123599 Bug ID: 123599 Summary: New wizard for filling bank checks Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: cwendl...@hypra.fr Description: We at Hypra would like to introduce a new wizard (under File -> Wizards) to help filling bank checks and print the contents on actual checks. This would be handy for everyone that has several checks to write, and especially to visually impaired people that can't easily fill a bank check manually. There would be support for filling both sides of checks, depending on whether one's emitting or receiving a check. When filling the check front side for check emission, we'd be able to fill everything: numerical amount, full text amount, recipient, date, place where the check was made, and optionally a signature image. When filling the back side, we'd be able to write account number, account owner name, date, comments and optionally a signature. Each field would have a default based on User Data or current date, and things line full-text amount would be automatically generated from the numerical amount. We'd try and remember previously used values for fields like recipient name or account number and propose them e.g. in an editable listbox to ease reuse. As checks unfortunately don't have a perfectly standard layout, we think about having templates for every supported bank. We plan to work mostly on French banks templates because that's what we actually deal with, but we'd make sure it works with international banks and to make it reasonably easy to add support for a new bank's check layout. This wizard would be fairly similar to e.g. the Letter wizard, but would result in an actual document rather than a template, that can be printed right away. Ideally, it would propose printing from the wizard itself, to save an extra step. To be able to insert a signature, we'll need the user to provide an image file with his signature on it. This would ideally be defined in the User Data options pane. It would also be nice to have currency as User Data, with a sane default depending on the locale/region but that the user can select if he is most commonly preparing checks in another currency. What do you think about this, would it be an acceptable feature in LibreOffice, and would you have any comment on the proposal? [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 123597] New: IsNew not set for new data forms - was OK in 6.1.5
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123597 Bug ID: 123597 Summary: IsNew not set for new data forms - was OK in 6.1.5 Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.2.1.1 rc Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Base Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: t...@tim-passingham.co.uk I have just installed Version: 6.2.1.1 Build ID: 1:6.2.1~rc1-0ubuntu0.18.10.1~lo1 CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 4.18; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3; Locale: en-GB (en_GB.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-GB Calc: threaded On opening a base form for a new item, my macros use the IsNew function on the form. This used to be true for New records. It is now False in certain situations, and my macros fail. I'll have to revert to 6.1.5 to keep my systems running. I have tried to reproduce this on a simple embedded database but have failed so far. The particular case for my system using a Mariadb backend is that I open a form using: Set oOpenForm = oController.loadComponent(com.sun.star.sdb.application.DatabaseObject.FORM, sForm, false) And then it immediately triggers my 'After Change' macro which checks for 'IsNew'. This is now False, even for a form which is set to only be able to add new data. If I manage to get further information, and hopefully a reproducible case, I will post again here, but I have to revert to 6.1.5 for now and install a 6.2 test system later. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
