Complete document is to large. Easiest index entry to use is 'Air Groups'. If you look at the main entry for for 'Air Groups' it's highlighted bold. Add a new 1st Key entry and it's no longer shown as a main entry. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 98372] SIDEBAR: Research/Reference sidebar deck
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98372 --- Comment #17 from Keith Curtis --- I figured out how get a mobile view from Wiktionary, but it had just as many sections. i.e, it will also need filtering. It might be possible to tell it what sections you want, but I'm not sure if it's possible to tell it sections you *don't* want. I'll look around. If LibreOffice knew that the word was a noun, it could request just that section for example, and get the minimal amount of data, but that requires looking the word up elsewhere first. Another possibility is to get all the sections, filter out the ones LibreOffice wouldn't want, and then request just that content. That requires more API calls, and might not be faster, but it could be worth trying. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 98372] SIDEBAR: Research/Reference sidebar deck
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98372 --- Comment #16 from Keith Curtis --- The wizards ship as a core feature and run in Python, why couldn't this? It is good to use a more productive language in LibreOffice whenever possible, and a research tab seems like a great example of something that would be good enough in Python. It is becoming the language of choice for neural networks, data science, etc. I hope that LibreOffice one day will have PyTorch inside for the grammar checker, and other places: http://document-foundation-mail-archive.969070.n3.nabble.com/Fwd-AI-in-Microsoft-Office-td4231071.html I wrote that code because it was an interesting little task for me. I think the Beautiful Soup filter is a good start to taking the default output of Wiktionary and making it reasonable enough to fit in a dialog box. There could be other solutions such as requesting a mobile version. I might try to figure that out next. Also, it should have an LRU cache to not hit their servers too much. I'll put that in, as it's just one line of code ;-) I could investigate how to create a simple UI, or figure out how to create / update a research tab on the sidebar, but I've not done any LibreOffice UI stuff yet. If someone else has more knowledge or time to learn, they could take this Python and keep going. It should be possible to quickly build a very good extension, and then people can decide what to do with it. Thanks for the Wollmux reference. I may find their source and go through it. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124210 Bug ID: 124210 Summary: Difficulty with inserting & moving images around page in Writer Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.1.6.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: publicf...@bak.rr.com Description: I insert an image and then I choose to reposition it, but the image won't move. I try to drag it with the mouse and nothing happens other than selecting it. Something I've noticed is if I: Right-Click on image >Format Image >Type >Position >Vertical 'from bottom' and there is a 'by' size with a number, in this case 9.12" 'to baseline'. I manually set it to zero and that allows me to move the image. However, after dragging/moving it to another page and letting go of the mouse, it "snaps back" to the original position and that number has been returned to whatever it was before I changed the value, in this case 9.12" WRAP is set to "optimal" and cannot be changed, the other options are not selectable (None, Before/After, etc.) ANCHOR is set to "as character". I have 10 pages with 16 images, most are positioned adequately, but a couple are not. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Insert several images on different pages (I don't know if this is required to reproduce but it's what I do) 2. Attempt to move images to another existing page. For example move the image on page 3 to page 1, and page 1 image to page 2. 3. Actual Results: Image fails to move at all. After setting vertical position to zero as previously described and attempting to move the image, it snaps back to its original position and replaces vertical position value of zero with original number. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124191 --- Comment #2 from Frank Zimmerman --- Cannot reproduce? I hope that's a good sign. Here are some examples from my website. The books on the following page were produced with LibreOffice 5. Try downloading one of the PDF's and copy/paste a paragraph out into a text editor. Let me know what you get. https://www.practicaprophetica.com/books/edward-irving/ The following book was produced with LibreOffice 6, not too long ago: https://www.practicaprophetica.com/books/ftw/#Last-Day-Events Go to the 10th page (part of the intro pages before the numbering starts), the "Cover Picture" description, and copy out the first paragraph. BTW I'm also using Win 10-64 bit, Version 1809. My current LibreOffice is 6.2.0.3 64 bit, but as shown from the first books linked in the page above, this has been around since LibreOffice 5, so I'm not sure that makes any difference. I'm also pasting directly into a text editor (EditPad), so the fontname issue you mention below is not applicable in that scenario (although I noticed it also when pasting into LO). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Using Gnome Tweaks you can try a theme which does show scroll arrows at the top and bottom of the list, which the default Yaru (Ubuntu 18.10 theme does not. On my system, Adwaita did the job. You can then modify the desktop file in /usr/share/applications to open the program with that theme. For example, change this line: Exec=libreoffice %U To this: Exec=env GTK_THEME=Adwaita libreoffice I found that if I left the %U on the end, the desktop file would show an error and fail to run. You can also try editing the gtk css file (/usr/share/themes/[themename]/gtk3.0/gtk.css) to add the following at the top: .scrollbar scrollbar { -GtkScrollbar-has-backward-stepper: true; -GtkScrollbar-has-forward-stepper: true; -GtkScrollbar::stepper-size = 18 } Though I'm not sure the css edit made any difference to me. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
