Image showing the problem (composed of three screen shots)

I Repeated the procedure described: It seems when "Saving as..." CSV the field
separator, while being allowed to be multiple characters, actually just uses
the first character entered. For those saying they could not repeat, maybe read
exactly what I have done.

Also happens with 6.2.3.2. In safe mode, saving doesn't crash when I type "~".
But opening does freeze Calc.

It opens in 1:18 for me.
In Excel 2013 it opens in 10s.

UI is still very unresponsive in Calc, I'd go as far to say that it hangs.
Excel isn't very responsive when clicking the image, but only takes ~10s,
otherwise it's quite responsive.

I did not get it what did you mean with "being closed on leave is a
disadvantage"? In this case user will find the right layout immediately without
having to imagine what the layout meant from the plain text.

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117109] PAdES signatures are invisible

2019-04-23 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117109

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124922] New: Weird duplicate window opening up.

2019-04-23 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124922

Bug ID: 124922
Summary: Weird duplicate window opening up.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.3.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: norat...@aol.com

Description:
I noticed something that happened after the latest update. Okay, some time
after the update, I was saving a new writing document, but when the window came
up asking me where I wanted to save it appeared, suddenly, a second window
appeared. I saved and it saved the document, but then I noticed the old
untitled document was still on my computer screen, complete with writing. I
closed the named file, but when I went to close the untitled document,
LibreOffice wouldn't close. I eventually was forced to force quit the program.
I booted it back up again, and it asked me if I wanted to restore the untitled
document, but I said no.

For a while, I didn't see the problem again, but then earlier this week, I was
opening up a file from the main page, and then a second file open window
appeared. I closed it, and then LibreOffice wouldn't close again, forcing me to
force quit it. The problem seems to come and go, but I did notice it after the
latest update.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Either open up a new file from the start up page.
2.Open up or save a file when you open up an untitled document.
3.When or if the duplicate window opens up, try to close it and then try to
close the document/program.

Actual Results:
When you start up LibreOffice, either open up an existing document from the
open file menu, or open up a new document, and then try to open an existing
document or save a new one. When or if a second window opens up with you either
save or open up a file, try to close the program normally.

Expected Results:
The program does not close and becomes unresponsive. You can still move the
window around, but the program itself does not close unless you force quit it.

Reproducible: Sometimes

User Profile Reset: No

OK, I am now experiencing this consistently after I removed
~/.config/libreoffice/4/user, start Calc again (so LO creates the default
profile ~/.config/libreoffice/4/user again), and try to save the blank/opened
workbook or even open the File Open dialog.

It still happens when I restart in Safe mode.

The issue here it's sum show the sum in the same format as the cells HH:MM:SS
so the result it's fine,
40:30:00 = 1 day plus 16:30:00

but to show as sum of hours the format should be [HH]:MM:SS, what you can get
if at least the first in the selected range have this format ([HH]:MM:SS).

So I don't think it is a bug.

2019-04-23 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124921

Bug ID: 124921
Summary: EDITING: Error when Calc sums time cells
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.3.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: dio...@gmail.com

Description:
I have three cells with time hours; for example:
16:00:00
16:00:00
08:30:00

When I select all these cells, its value is automatically displayed at the
bottom bar. This displays 16:30:00 when it should display 40:30:00

Regards.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Put these values inside three cells
2. Select all these three cells.
3. At the bottom bar, right, it displays wrong value.

Actual Results:
It displayed a wrong value.

Expected Results:
Displays 40:30:00

Reproducible: Always

Scrolling is already sluggish in the last commit of win32-4.3. Sluggish in the
first commit of win32-5.0 as well. Opening basically hangs in the last commit
of win32-5.0.

Would be great, if you gave a shot at investigating the regression aspect.

Yes, thanks. In general, a backtrace generated with a debug build might show
even more information, but I think that's enough for now.

The backtrace shows there's something going on in the X11 event handling and
Qt's interaction with it:

> xcb_wait_for_reply () at /usr/lib/libxcb.so.1
> QXcbConnection::sync() () at /usr/lib/libQt5XcbQpa.so.5
> ...

Actually, the backtrace (and the overall behaviour) looks somewhat similar to
bug 121293.

at the end of the screencast). But slightly depending on the dictionary I
guess.
Memory isn't released after closing.. the document in question

2019-04-23 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124835

Single Line Toolbar layout
==
- user want's only one toolbar (cause otherwise they use standard toolbar)
- "standard" toolbar AND contextual toolbars has to fit into one toolbar, cause
there is no sidebar activated where contextual stuff is located.
- as everything is more compact than in standard toolbar you need separate
contextual .xml files.
- Everything can be done with notebookbar, but I prefer .xml files cause they
are way more easy to maintain.
==
-> make an separate toolbar folder for single line toolbar than you can edit
all contextual toolbars complete separate from standard toolbar layout

Sidebar Toolbar layout
==
- Sidebar is activated as all contextual stuff is available via the sidebar
(and most of the time the sidebar is better, has more space, than an toolbar),
no contextual toolbar is needed
- One standard toolbar for general stuff
==
-> deactivate all contextual toolbars show only standard toolbar

Build ID: 2b840030fec2aae0fd2658d8d4f9548af4e3518d
CPU-threads: 4; Besturingssysteem: Windows 10.0; UI-render: standaard; VCL:

Locale: nl-NL (nl_NL); UI-taal: nl-NL

This bug is still present.

1. Create a new presentation.
2. Insert a .jpg picture on a slide
3. Set Transparency of the picture to 75% (or whatever..)
4. Save file as .pptx
5. Exit LO
6. Reopen file with LO
7. Transparency is gone.

btw, maybe this is Related?

Change Brightness or Contrast of a picture.
Save as pptx.
Reopen file.
The slide opens with the picture in the right brigtness/contrast, but the % of
brightness and contrast are both set to 0%.
So the original picture is gone, and you cannot return to the original picture.

btw. Saving as .odp and reopening .odp.. Both brightness%, contrast% and
transparency% are retained correctly, and you can easily return to original
picture.

But I have to cooperate with people who are using pptx's

I had to uninstall the 6.x versions. I was working the end of March thru April
15, 2019 on business tax returns and I needed my spreadsheet to work. I went
back to LO 5.4.7 32 bit version, as I had to have a working program. The 6.0

I just felt I was waiting too long to get my time crunch work done. I
apologize for not responding sooner. I have a lull the next few weeks. I will
try the latest fresh version as you have requested, in the next couple of days;
today if I can. I have one client who needs some quarterly payroll tax reports
today. I will see how the latest fresh version works for me.

Miguel.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124110] LO 6.2 does not start at all under Linux + KDE

2019-04-23 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124110

Thank you for your advice. So I've made more tests. I reinstalled LO 6.2.3 from
scratch and launched it, having previously erased my user profile.
First attempt :
/opt/libreoffice6.2/program/soffice -writer
Strange : the 6.1.3 version (from openSuSE) launched instead.
Second attempt :
SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk3 /opt/libreoffice6.2/program/soffice -writer
Same behaviour.
Third attempt :
SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk3 /opt/libreoffice6.2/program/soffice
LO6.2.3 started, creating a new user profile. Error message displayed on the
terminal :
(soffice:8940): Gdk-WARNING **: XSetErrorHandler() called with a GDK error trap
pushed. Don't do that.
Fourth attempt :
/opt/libreoffice6.2/program/soffice
LO6.2 launched, error message on the terminal :
QXcbConnection: XCB error: 3 (BadWindow), sequence: 2076, resource id:
25180684, major code: 40 (TranslateCoords), minor code: 0

Finally, I think everything works now. Seems that I had some kind of
cache-related bug.

WORKSFORME

I noticed this issue is solely related to Templates. I deleted my templates
folder (~/.config/libreoffice/4/user/template) which fixed the issue. Except
for the fact that every time is start up LibreOffice now, I get an error
message that the template does not exist.

Recreating the template results in the same problem. Even choosing File >
Templates > Save as Template makes LibreOffice hang/crash.

LOOL and LibO with Single Line Toolbar (which look a bit similar)

Arrangement LOOL:
1. save undo redo,
2. style, Font, Font Size
3. bold, italic, underline, strickout
4. Insert Footnote
5. Color Text, Color Background
6. Align Left, Center, Right, Justify
7. Bullet
8. Bullet
9. Insert Table, Chart, Comment, Image, Symbol

Arrangement LibO:
1. open, save, print,
2. undo, redo
3. bold, italic, underline, font color
4. align Left, Center, Right, Justify
5. Style, Font, Font Size
6. Bullet,
7. Insert Table, Image, Hyperlink, Comment, Record,
8. Formation Mark

Differences:
- Arrangement what's the difference between LOOL and LibO that you have
different arrangement?
- Formation Mark is not (yet) available in LOOL
- Strikout is available in LOOL but not in LibO
- Insert Footnote is available in LOOL but not in LibO.
- Insert group arrangement is complete different.

maybe the differences between LOOL and LibO are cause LOOL is an webpage, but I
don't understood it.

This bug report pertains to Version: 6.3.0.0.alpha0+

CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.4; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;

Calc: threaded
running on Xubuntu 16.04.04LTS (64 Bit).

I wanted to paste the link to a tar.gz file into a large document (~1000
pages). Unfortunately I did not press Shift+Ctl+V but instead Ctl+V . When I
saw the dialog “insert section”, I immediately realized my error and I wanted
to cancel it, because I did not want ti paste the whole tar.gz file into my
document.
But clicking on Cancel did not work. It did not cancel the operation. I had to
kill LibreOffficeWriter to get out of that situation.

Yes, let's reopen this.

Since the problem happens with SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen, it doesn't really sound
like a KDE-specific issue at first sight. some more questions:

1) Does that same happen when you use the same packages and the "parallel
installation", i.e. extract the content to somewhere in the user directory?

2) Does the issue still occur when you remove/rename the user profile, located
at '~/.config/libreoffice'?

3) Does it work when you use another VCL plugin, e.g. start with
SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk3 (requires the "libobasis*-gnome-integration" package),
SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=kde4, SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk or SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=kde5?

4) Can you try to get a backtrace as described at [1]?

@Hal : I had to add a WPD extension to the file in order for it to be loaded by
LO.

Indeed, the first line is shown in the UI as Times New Roman, instead of
Verdana, and the 2nd line is also TNR (although displayed differently).
The third line is indicated as Arial.

I'm guessing that there is some kind of font substitution going on here; but
given that the fonts in use in macOS8 were probably not OTF, and given that
even macOS has undergone font management changes since then, it isn't going to
be surprising that current LO attempts to substitute the fonts with something
else when it loads the file, unless this document was displayed correctly in an
earlier version of LO, which would be a regression.

Confirming - yet another font display bug on macOS.
