[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 114773] TOC: Remove additional space after chapter number in ToC
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114773 --- Comment #19 from Yvan Rose --- This issue was introduced with version 5.3 of LO. It's possible that OO had it independently (I didn't verify) but LO 5.2.7 does not have this issue, while every subsequent version of LO has been affected by it to this day. If I could, I would pay to see it gone, so I can start promoting LO again as the best system to write long, structured documents (with ToCs and all). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 78916] Custom page size missing from print dialog
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78916 --- Comment #27 from huber.jos...@tx.rr.com --- My version is Version: 6.2.2.2 Build ID: 1:6.2.2-0ubuntu0.16.04.1~lo1 which is not that far behind the latest release of 6.2.3, but still newer than the LTS version of 6.1.5. Both my printers allow custom page size, and custom page sizes work fine with other Ubuntu applications (such as the FireFox screenshot I showed), and with Microsoft Office running both in both Windows and on Ubuntu via Wine. I look forward to this issue being finally addressed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I seem to reproduce the same behavior with much older builds too (I tested 6.0.0.3, 5.4.3.2, 4.4.0.3). Exact steps, just to make sure we're testing the same thing: 1. Open the file. Cell A3 is selected. 2. Press Shift+Ctrl+F2 to enter the input line. 3. Press Insert to activate overwrite mode. 4. Press ESC to leave the input line. 5. Press Shift+Ctrl+F2 to enter the input line again. 6. Move the cursor over the 'A' letter with the arrow keys. 7. Press 'b'. Is these steps correct? If yes - could you please test again? The last Calc version I used that loaded spreadsheets without flashing the A1 corner was 6.2.0.1 rc (which I find impossible to download from anywhere and revert to :-/). Anyway, reproduction steps: 1. Download https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=133113 2. Restart Calc in Safe Mode 3. Open the downloaded sheet Notice how the first page of the sheet is shown for about a second before Calc scrolls to the last position in the sheet and zooms to its last zoom level. Please change it back to > UNCONFIRMED., if you don't agree. I'm afraid I don't agree. In 6.1.5.2 there's no direct Format Footer. You have to select Format > Page and then choose the Header or Footer tab. And yes, there there's a setting 'same content on first page'. But it doesn't work properly. That is, if you ensure that 'same content on first page' is unchecked and you insert '2' in, let's say, the header on the second page, you do indeed suppress '1' from appearing on the first page. However, '2' then appears on Page 3 and on all subsequent pages!! I shall have to change the status of this bug back from Resolved to Unconfirmed. (Not sure where and how to do that yet, so please bear with me). edit: Having returned to here, I've obviously found how to re-set the status back to Unconfirmed. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124714 --- Comment #8 from Roland Baudin --- I finally found the cause of the issue... and the solution. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 125000] New: Writer page numbering takes no account of no page number required on title page
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125000 Bug ID: 125000 Summary: Writer page numbering takes no account of no page number required on title page Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.1.5.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Mac OS X (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: internalm...@gmail.com Description: It seems that, with LO 6.1.5.2, in Writer you cannot ever have page numbering that starts at 2 (on the second page), that's to say, the first (title) page of the document having NO page number showing on it. As an experienced document writer, it just looks completely wrong and unnecessary to have '1' showing at the top of the title page (the latter page being the term I use for the very first page of the document, the page where the document's title is written at the top, with body text immediately below that title, the document then continuing with '2' being the second page, as you'd expect). Currently in Writer there are some special options for title pages (which I find dreadfully ambiguous, BTW) but they do not allow for this rather common and simple requirement. Another terrible annoyance is that if you delete or otherwise remove all existing page numbers and then you add just one page number, via say Insert > Page Number, that number gets added to ALL the pages in the document - which is a total nonsense! I've given up trying to get page numbering right in my Writer documents. I work with .doc documents, BTW, rather than the native file format. Sheet size A4. Instead, I now just set the page header to as small as possible and immediately below that I MANUALLY type the required page number. I normally choose to have the number at the top of the page and centred. At least that way I end up with sensible numbering. But of course it's rather ridiculous to have to separately and manually insert every single page number in a document. I'd like to see standard page numbering but with an option to omit the number on the first page. Although it may look like it, that's not covered by the special options in Format > Title Page. I've experimented with those settings endlessly to no avail. Steps to Reproduce: 1.None needed, really. Just follow my Description and you'll see what I mean. 2. 3. Actual Results: In Writer, go to Format > Page, and on the Page tab you'll see a dropdown menu for page numbering format. The nearest you find there to what's required in this instance is 1,2,3 etc, but that means you have to have '1' showing on the first, or title, page. Grrh! Expected Results: N.A. See my temporary workaround. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: See my description. I'm using an iMac running macOS Sierra 10.12.6. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124878] Libreoffice 6.2.3 writer will not open .odt files it has save from .docx file
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124878 --- Comment #5 from Peter Allott --- If I remove "user" then Open the .docx Save as .odt the first time I open the .odt file it appears to be fine. Then if I close writer down (no changes to the .odt file) and try and re-open it writer loops. I see that the first time I open the file contents of the user directory are changed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
