This is clearly a bug then. Nothing except extensions should change at this point. Can you please verify this with a fresh installation/user profile and give exact steps how to reproduce this? [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 54442] Fontwork flattened last letter
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=54442 --- Comment #18 from QA Administrators --- ** Please read this message in its entirety before responding ** To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120269] The descriptions of Safe Mode options are misleading
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120269 --- Comment #7 from Kaue --- > Ok, I understand the problem. The first option might be the most radical as > it can reset everything to factory settings (if things only changed recently > and there is only one backup available). You're mentioning a very specific situation, but I think the problem is more general. I changed my UI months ago (so, it's not a recent change) and this problem happens: I choose the second option (Configure); the UI resets; I get confused, because I thought it would happen only if I chose the checkbox "reset settings and user interface modifications". > I would suggest to remove the wording that "the options get more radical > from top down" [1] which is simply not true and it's hard to order them so > that this is true in all cases. > > Would that be an improvement? I think the great improvement would be to make clear what happens when each option is chosen. Right now, when I choose the option Extensions, the description says that only things related to extensions will be changed, but that's incorrect, as other things changes (the UI, for example). Also, the checkbox "reset settings and user interface modifications" is confusing, for the reasons I stated above. Also, it's still not clear, and I still don't know, if the lower options get applied in a cumulative way with the higher options. Look, what I'm doing here is giving the point of view of a layman trying to use the Safe Mode fix his LibreOffice by himself. If I knew more how LO works then I would give more concrete suggestions. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 125167] New: Chart Position and Size dialog—Adapt section not needed
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125167 Bug ID: 125167 Summary: Chart Position and Size dialog—Adapt section not needed Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Chart Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: catbil...@gmail.com Using Version 6.2.3.2 In the Position and Size dialog of Chart, the options to adapt height or width to fit text do not seem relevant. In fact, they are grayed out. Steps to see this: 1.) Click once on a chart to select it (example file is attached) 2.) Right click on the chart 3.) Select Position and Size to open the dialogue I would not expect to see the options to fit width and height to text because they do not seem to work for Chart and are grayed out. For documentation, it would be great to show a screenshot of the corrected dialog so it would not be necessary to explain that the options do not work. If I am mistaken and these options do work in Chart, then I would appreciate some clarification of when/how they are activated. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 45778] [RFE] Insert image not in a new paragraph but in the current position or as character
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45778 --- Comment #8 from cson...@halmai.hu --- This is an issue I also planned to report in a slightly different way. The way how I think it could be solved is the following. There are two options. 1, There should be a page called Insert Image Settings under the Tools -> Option -> LibreOffice Writer item containing the following settings from the right-click menu of an image: - Insert As: Stripped HTML/HTML format without comments/Bitmap Image - Anchor: To Page/To Character/To Character/As Character - Align: Left/Center/Right and Top to Anchor/Middle to Anchor/Bottom to Anchor - Arrange: In Front of Others/Behind Others (Forward One and Back One are pointless here) - Size: Original/Fixed Width:X/Fixed Height:Y/Fixed Size:X*Y Yes, these things can be adjusted after the image has been inserted but if you work with a lot of images then it is quite cumbersome. I almost always use the anchor "As Character" but I know someone who uses "To Page" all the time so it would be nice to have it as a configurable setting. Or... 2, The newly inserted image just should copy the settings of the last image. It looks to be easy for the Insert As, Anchor and Align settings and maybe it could work for the Arrange as well. Only the size setting would be missing which is bad but this solution seems to be much easier than adding a new page to the Options dialog. So I could accept this solution as well. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 101443] Wrong width/placement of Calc multiline scrollbar
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101443 --- Comment #28 from Thorsten Wagner --- After a lot of platform upgrades I was able to continue working on this issue. Build platforms are now macOS 10.14 and Debian 10. As Gerrit change 58659 has been abandoned in the meantime, I will commit a new change to Gerrit in short. To remove assertion failure found by Heiko I investigated vcl/source/window/toolbox.cxx. Beside the assertion failure it was possible to fix the behaviour of OK and Cancel icons, which were dangling in some situations, at this place too. With the introduction of a dropdown menu at the Sum button, button width changes when the text input field is selected. Left border of text input field changes accordingly. To ensure text input field's position after selection/deselection, a redesigned layout mode handling for Calc's formula bar was introduced in toolbox.cxx. New Screenshots of collapsed/expanded formula bar with/without selection for macOS and Linux are attached. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 125165] New: Firebird query: decimal fields are not handled correctly in arithmetic operations
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125165 Bug ID: 125165 Summary: Firebird query: decimal fields are not handled correctly in arithmetic operations Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.1.5.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Base Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: seb...@ldd.fr Description: In Firebird Embedded databases, decimal values cannot be reliably used in arithmetic expressions in a query. However, in the "Execute SQL Statement" window, they work as expected. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the attached ODB file 2. Execute Query1 Actual Results: In the second column, value 246 is shown. Expected Results: Value 2.46 is expected ( 1.23 * 2 = 2.46 ) Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: This issue only affects Firebird Embedded databases. It does not affect HSQLDB Embedded databases. This issue only affects the standard query execution system. It does not affect SQL commands executed in the "Execute SQL Statement" window : in menu bar, open "Tools" / "SQL…" to type Query1's SQL command : select c, c * 2 from Table1 Check "Show output of "select command"" and click "Execute". The output is correct: 1.23,2.46 The same bug occurs with other arithmetic operators (+ - /). The same bug occurs with constants. for example, 1.00 * 2 returns 200 1.00 * 12.00 returns 12. Column "c" has data type DECIMAL with 2 decimal places. Table Table1 contains only one record with value 1.23 in column "c". It looks like LibreOffice removes the input values decimal points to convert them to integers prior to the operation, but then forgets to insert it back in the resulting integer. Checking "Run SQL comand directly" does not help. If this is true, then if you want to find the "next" occurrence of anything, by default you would look for it in the text to the right and BELOW the cursor, right? If this is true, then there should be a functional equivalence between these terms: NEXT=DOWNWARD and PREVIOUS=UPWARD If that is true, then the downward arrow should work to search for (a NEXT) something DOWNWARD, and the upward arrow should work to search for (a PREVOIUS) something UPWARD. I tried different things until I discovered that the problem came from the syntax for joins. The syntax FROM { oj "..." RIGHT OUTER JOIN "" ON "..."."..." = ...} coming from queries build previously with HSQLBD is not recognised and the query refuses to load On just needs to get rid of "oj" and replaces braces with parenthesis or remove them to get. FROM ( "..." RIGHT OUTER JOIN "" ON "..."."..." = ...) or even FROM ( "..." RIGHT OUTER JOIN "" ON "..."."..." = ...) https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117435 --- Comment #7 from Silvain Dupertuis --- I noted that after migration from HSQLBD, images were transferred to an Image [BLOB] type of field. Data was not lost, but images would not show up in forms. I found a workaround by copying the data into a new [BLOB] field (with a sql query UPDATE "photos_table" SET "Photo2" = "Photo") and it worked. The pictures appear using this new field. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125156 V Stuart Foote changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|--- |NOTABUG Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED CC||vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu --- Comment #1 from V Stuart Foote --- Can not confirm. This works as well as it has from > 4.2. On Windows 10 Home 64-bit en-US (1809) with current master/6.3.0 This is kind of a mess, see bug 35365 and fix in bug 71511 [1] Issue remains that os/DE "Dark Desktop" themes (see bug 118320) are distinct from HighContrast accessibility themes which are flagged from the os/DE as such. Presently we split the difference--we detect HC always, but still set theme based on colors passed from DE--only FONTCOLOR and DOCCOLOR respond to the a11y HC checkbox. When System HC is active--the colors for DOCCOLOR and FONTCOLOR are read as set by the HC theme. But if the Tools -> Options -> Accessibility "Automatically Detect HighContrast Mode of Operating System" is left unchecked, System HC is *still* detected and LibreOffice responds: Icons will shift to Sifr, menu text and back ground will change. Without the checkbox only DOCCOLOR and FONTCOLOR do not pickup colors from the HC theme--and those will remain as set in user profile or default (Black font on White document). The system HC flag is distinct from new Windows dark desktop modes--which do not trigger the HC handling. =-ref-= [1] https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=7b0e8b9c8541250be65ce228b67ff5adb105b732 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
