In order to use the product I need larger display font. Suggest widening the display to fit the full screen. I spent 2 hours trying every icon and only found how to enlarge the document font, not the display font. I found no help on display font size or display boundaries. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open a new install of LibreOffice and there it it! 2. 3. Actual Results: Open a new install of LibreOffice and there it it! Expected Results: A display window with a display font that was not mice-type. Why not widen the window to fit the screen, or if there is a way to do that, don't hide it, and put an entry in the help pages under, Display. Some of us don't have 24" monitors. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127157] New: Add the ability to store comments within palette files (.soc)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127157 Bug ID: 127157 Summary: Add the ability to store comments within palette files (.soc) Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: LibreOffice Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: jean-francois.nifenec...@laposte.net Created attachment 153648 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=153648=edit Palette file with comments Currently, there's no way to store comments within palette files. This would be a useful addition: as a document designer, I often have to create custom palettes. I see a need for two comment levels: at the palette file level, a comment would allow to store versioning information, the creator's name and the reason for any update ("created by John Doe, 2019-08-25, to comply with the new Acme Co graphic identity 2019"). At each color definition level, a comment would allow to keep track of color details (such as "Pantone 234C"). AFAICS, commenting is not part of the current LibO palettes specifications. I attach a demo palette with such comments set. It is interesting to note that, as the "comment" keyword is not used for .soc files, this palette is perfectly read by LibreOffice (tested under v.5.4). Moreover, the UI could display the comments as tooltips on mouse hovering the palette name (global comment) or each individual color (color comment). [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127145] A .wmf file is rendered with thin stroke on rounded rectangles, but should be thick.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127145 --- Comment #6 from JSR_LibreOffice --- Interesting. I have created more than 260 figures (did not count all created figures after 1997) to be used in Word (.doc) documents. At the moment there are no problems with other figures (>260) and they are displayed correctly on LibreOffice Writer documents. I know that Word 97 is an old program, but the many figures have been created long before OpenOffice and LibreOffice (some figures are created after 1997). Therefore copying figures from Word (.doc) files to LibreOffice Writer files (.odt) is so important even today. I had a similar problem with OpenOffice and I reported a bug report then. I checked that OpenOffice bug with LibreOffice 6.2.6.2 and this time there was not a problem. May be I was unclear with previous texts. This was my first LibreOffice Writer bug report and I did not remember all details with bug reporting. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Open Help->About; the Close button is active (has a rectangle showing that). 2. Press Tab several times 2.1. After first press, there's no indication which control has focus now (it's actually "Version:" text box, and it's now possible to use cursor keys and Shift/Control to select text, and Ctrl+C). 2.2. After second press, there's still no indication (now the "See Log:" link is active, and Enter would open the link in browser). It would be good to have the text in a selected text box to be either pre-selected on activation (which would allow to use Ctrl+C right away); or cursor (vertical bar) shown and blinking indicating the focus; or at least a focus rectangle shown. The link seems to *try* drawing dotted focus indicator (visible as blinking if one presses and holds Tab button to constantly move focus between controls) - looks like some sort of regression which owerdraws the already drawn indication. I added some lines of code, placed the cursor in cell A46, saved the file with cell A46 displayed on the screen, closed the file, opened the file, and it displayed cell A46 as it should, put the cursor in cell A9, saved the file with cell A9 displayed on the screen, closed the file, opened the file, the cursor is still in cell A9 but cell A9 is not displayed on the screen, cell A46 is displayed. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58231 --- Comment #7 from documentfoundation@l8r.net --- I realise this is a RESOLVED WONTFIX. Reasons are understood. However, I did want to provide some historical end-user feedback. I feel this is imperative for context and comprehension on user-habits. I've been using computers since I was 6. This may seem trivial, but bear in mind that I am nearing 50, and that anyone having a computer was unusual, when I was 6. In all those years, I have had documents that I have kept on my computers. I am, in fact, I suspect I am one of the first people that lived their entire lives storing documents digitally... and keeping those documents. For example, I have calendar entries in my phone's calendar, going back to the 1994. I can actually discern what I did on Wed, Dec 28th, 1994. I have text documents going back to the early 80s, dumps from fidonet and punternet mail messages. Private notes. Code written on my C64. I have emails going back to the late-90s. All of this still readable. This is all just for context. Regardless, my point is .. when someone lives such a life? Older documents are like a book kept in a closet. Documents such as a diary, letters written to friends, relatives, and for important life events. Notes kept on observations, everything and anything. Now imagine you're not 20, or even 30 any more. :P You're the sort that might put a screwdriver down on a garage workbench, and literally, very literally need it 14 months later.. and know where it is. Certain parts of your life move slowly, and have little change. Which is why only now, in late 2019, did I discover this removal of sdw format imports. Literally, 5+ years might go by, before someone might attempt to open a document from 20 years ago. I am not specifically blaming anyone for this. I can't imagine keeping 30% of a codebase, not when short on time, or porting/modifying code that 14 people and a signing gorilla in the Hague might use. The removal makes sense. What I just wish, is that there was more information. I've upgraded through three entire Debian releases since 3.x has disappear on my system, making it annoying to attempt a recovery. I would ask that OOo devs consider this. Just ponder it. I don't know if there is a better way to inform users. Or to get them to port before removal. Maybe... down the road, there might be a "OH! I've noticed you have SDW formatted documents! In the next major release, they're be gone. Do THIS to save them or else you'll feel pain later!!" sort of thing? Well, there's my 2 cents. No complaints about removal, but hopes that removal will happen with a transitory period. Also, please don't become excited that I keep a calendar entries from the 90s, obtain it, and travel back in time and kill me using that specific location data. I assure you, I'll be reincarnated, and old enough to re-write this bug regardless. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

In the summary, you have "with threaded off". The above seems to contradict this. Is this related to threaded at all?
