Dear Gabor Kelemen,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,

Dear Telesto,

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Dear Regina Henschel,

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';

Warm Regards,
QA Team

Thanks for the additional info. I'm actually alos able to reproduce now when I
use Plasma on Wayland on Debian testing (with plasma-workspace-wayland
4:5.14.5.1-3, libqt5widgets5:amd64 5.11.3+dfsg1-4 amd64), so there's currently
no need for you to download the daily build.

Backtrace attached.

Version: 6.4.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: 623c0cff7589e3f2298c16c7402cf160b99fabe2
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.2; UI render: default; VCL: kf5;
Locale: en-GB (en_GB.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded

FWIW, I get the same crash when I do this:

1. Create a textbox and enter some text.
2. Switch back and forth between the LO window and another one using Alt+Tab
twice

It doesn't crash in a Plasma X11 session (or if starting LibreOffice with
XDG_SESSION_TYPE=x11 ./instdir/program/soffice.bin --draw
)

Maybe related: I get a lot of these messages on stderr with Wayland:

warn:vcl:9150:9150:vcl/source/window/winproc.cxx:840: ImplHandleKey:
Keyboard-Input is sent to a frame without focus

Just a few tips that I believe would be nice to add (I'll make a detailed list
in a few months' time):
* IMPRESS: You can move selected objects faster: just keep Shift press while
you displacing an object with arrow keys
* GENERAL: You can create editable PDF files from LibreOffice: just go to File
Menu->Export as PDF and then check the option "Embed OpenDocument File". You
will be then able to edit the PDF file in LibreOffice. (I took this from
itsfoss.com)
* GENERAL: You can protect your LibreOffice documents with passwords: all you
have to do is using ‘save as’ and check the option ‘save with password’. (I
took this from itsfoss.com as well)

Seems partially solved with 6.3.

Partially because now the structure change their wide with the window's wide.

But in my opinion their proportion on the change should be less than the
formula box.

The change doesn't involve the functions fields, what in my opinion should
change in the same proportion than formula box.

This bug is unchanged since 17. Mai of 2014.
Since Firefox and Chrome dropped inbuilt RSS support, it seems senseless to
implement this enhamcement.
Therefore I close it as WONTFIX.
Please reopen as NEW if you disagree.

So seems the on some Linux builds, SVG vector data is not being fully read for
import to canvas and results in a PNG export that is missing elements.

Newly created ODT files and the old file are correctly shown.
In Linux Solus and Manjaro this problem does occur. Also in save mode.

Hi everyone,
I had a similar issue with Ubuntu 16.04 . Libreoffice 6.3 will not start, and
looking at crash dump I found this:

ldd /opt/libreoffice6.3/program/libvclplug_gtk3_kde5lo.so
/opt/libreoffice6.3/program/libvclplug_gtk3_kde5lo.so:
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libQt5Core.so.5: version `Qt_5' not found (required
by /opt/libreoffice6.3/program/libvclplug_gtk3_kde5lo.so)

The only easy solution was to uninstall libobasis6.2-kde-integration. Now
libreoffice works.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 57586] Rehearsing timings doesn't work with slides with animations

Sorry, I just realized that I may test with wrong way. The test way in comment
8 was in the console mode (with current slides, next slides and total timer).
The "original behavior" was in "Slide Show" -> "Rehearse Timings". It was
unchanged, i.e., still start timing only after all the animations were played
in that slide.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124377] Make better bitmap export quality to PDF for Redaction

2019-10-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124377

My change enabled anti-aliasing during redacted PDF export. Being the reporter,
please check with a recent daily build, and judge for yourself (the description
gives little help in evaluating the results).

Personally I'd say the font is still a bit blurry. The problem is that when
exporting the metafile to bitmap, I found no option to set DPI in the code, but
I didn't spend a lot of time digging around.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 128097] New: "Print preview" File menu entry is labelled incorrectly as "Close Preview" in "Groupedbar Compact" toolbar mode

2019-10-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128097

Bug ID: 128097
Summary: "Print preview" File menu entry is labelled
incorrectly as "Close Preview" in "Groupedbar Compact"
toolbar mode
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.7.1 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: nekoh...@gmail.com

Description:
I was looking for the "Print preview" menu entry, which is particularly useful
in LOo Calc to be able to properly scale a spreadsheet to fit in the page for
PDF output, but it turns out that when your toolbars are shown in "Groupedbar
Compact" UI mode, the checkbox-style menu entry in the "File" menubutton is
incorrectly labelled as "Close Preview", instead of "Print preview". This
happens in all LOo apps.

Steps to Reproduce:
N/A

Actual Results:
It is labelled "Close Preview".

Expected Results:
It should be labelled "Print preview" like in other toolbar modes.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Similar is already done since
https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/plugins/gitiles/core/+/1b8886ad7744fc48e09bb7379d8ad8e75bb3084d%5E%21/
with the extra that it differentiates between URL fields and non-URL fields.
The field shading is only shown in the Input Line, not the cell grid view.

For some reason the BMP of the SVG was truncated when it was originally saved
to ODF.

Opening the ODF archive, meta.xml shows Document shows as created
2009-06-26T13:16:26 -- so unlikely it originated with a LibreOffice build.

Deleting the partial PNG from the .\Pictures directory, and editing the
content.xml to remove its stanza from the --on reopening and
saving, the BMP of the the SVG is written back out to PNG including the full
graphic.

Subsequent openings show the full graphic.

IMHO this is Not Our Bug/Invalid as we don't know the provenance of the
original mishandling of the SVG graphic, and our behavior of keeping the PNG
rendering of SVG (i.e. not re-parsing the SVG) is correct.
