Cool, thanks a lot. The next step in open source is to add/implement this
yourself. Resistance is futile :-)

Isn't the point of Notebookbars to not use toolbars? Like when inserting a
shape you get the Drawing toolbar with the standard UI but a special section at
the tabbed UI. And talking about track changes it just have to be implemented
in this layout. So my take => WFM (do not show toolbars by default; it can be
activated at any time) and GO (implement TC in NBs).

Icons are the one piece (as Stuart pointed out; and XFCE is not among the
special desktop environments we can detect), font is the other. There are still
several controls with hard-coded color. And we also have to talk about the
application colors to maintain the contrast with changing background
brightness.

It is an embedded Firebird database.

2) Clicked on Query button, then Create Query in Design Mode

3) A list of tables is displayed to select and add to the query design.

No crash. Works for me.

Might this be a Windows specific bug ? If so, can't help here.

Confirming with LO6332 on macOS 10.14.6

I tried several ways to achieve this :

- entering the axis title in a first cell in the series of data, and when
setting up the graph, using the first cell as the axis title - this allows you
to enter superscript or subscript characters in the cell, but unfortunately,
the sub/superscripted characters are converted back to normal case when the
graph is created ;

- entering a character string for an axis title in either the chart wizard, or
by editing the axis title after the graph has been created - none of these
methods allow the user to sub/superscript characters in the character string by
direct keyboard shortcuts (e.g. Cmd-Shift-P on Mac) - indeed the latter causes
the wizard to move back one step (which is probably yet another bug) ;

- attempting to edit the axis title by selecting its frame, or a portion of the
character string therein, and then context menu "Format Title" does not provide
the "Effects" dropdown menu which in normal circumstances would allow the user
to select the sub/superscript effects.

Me too.
I am using windows 10 and ver 6.3.3.2 portable LibreOffice.
Clipboard monitoring software says new data now, but LibreOffice has pasted the
content that was previously pasted into LibreOffice.

Dear OfficeUser,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Dear Daniel Grigoras,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this

details of the problem have changed.

Dear Jørgen Elgaard Larsen,

I am new at this. Is there any kind of schedule for correcting a problem like
this? ALL of my spreadsheets of interest are MUCH larger than ProblemDemo.ods,
so I am really stuck. The spreadsheets were ALL working fine earlier this year,
but now I can only look at them. I cannot compute anything new -- that is, I
cannot save the results of any new computations.

If no one can give me any kind of a schedule, then I might have to go buy a
64-bit computer in order to get my project back on track...

I am really not trying to be pushy, but I do have a big decision to make --
about buying a new computer -- based on this problem.

Please advise!

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119111] Shapes losing position and z-index

2019-12-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119111

Hello!
I've just installed the beta.
1. For new shapes it does generate new names on copy.
2. The existing shapes that all have the same name it doesn't rectify on
opening, which it will need to do. However as an interim, if I cut out the
entire document and paste it back it fixes all the names (although I would need
to check after doing so that shapes have not had their positions thrown about).
3. The test I gave in comment 17 still suffers exactly the same problem in the
new release as the 3.x, even after cutting the document out and pasting it back
in to generate the new names and saving it as a new document then opening it,
and carrying out the test of moving the arrow and doing Ctrl-Z. Comment 17 is
here -
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119111#c17
4. As a beta I'll give it a whirl and see if I can make any other observations.
Cheers, David

ODT document for reproducing the bug

Reproduction instructions:

1. Open attached document in Print View.
2. Switch to Web View.
3. Drag the rightmost border rightwards somewhat (other border changes may also
work).
4. Switch back to Print View.

This shifts the (single-cell) table _way_ to the right, beyond the edge of the

On Catalina:

When LO is installed (in my case with Homebrew) "Save" and "Save as" (Finder)
dialogs run fine (after LO is edded to list of allowed app to access desktop
and document maps), but once the LO app is **changed** by running a language
pack (i.e. its installer), these dialogs cannot be invoked any more.

By adding the (changed) LO app to the list of apps that are allowed access,
then the save dialogs can be invoked again.

In short: the installation of a language pack should also refresh any relevant
permission for the (changed) LO app.

On Catalina:

When LO is installed (in my case with Homebrew) "Save" and "Save as" dialogs

By adding the (changed) LO app to the list of apps that are allowed "Full Disk

In short: your suggestion is correct and relevant for the installation of
language packs, because that installation should also refresh any relevant
permission for the (changed) LO app.

Currently the project maintains Sifr (Dark), and Breeze (Dark) both of which
are presentable on the 'Adwaita (dark)' theme. I just checked and for Fedora 31
with the Adwaita Dark shell, and for LibreOffice the (Automatic) icon theme
assigned is Breeze (Dark), not Tango.

There can never be LibreOffice provided 'Dark' versions of Tango--which is an
unsupported and incomplete icon theme, we've made some critical additions, but
adding a whole 'dark' mode theme is unlikely. Especially as no 'dark' theme was
"defined" for the Tango artwork guidelines [1]. So, should a Tango icon end up
as a fall back for other themes, it will always result in low contrast in a
'dark' theme.

We actually do not need to restart LibreOffice to get Statusbar icons to
update. You just exit any active module(s) (ending up back to Start Center) and
relaunch the module.

But I do agree the Statusbar should be able to refresh after change of icon
style, just like happens for toolbars/sidebar/menus/NB already. Something is
off in the Statusbar that it does not.

In the place where the NB is you can't add additional toolbars but there is
extension support in NB.

Yes user settings was not stored somewhere when the layout switch. I add
usability team.
