So I think there are different opinions about "sentence". As far as I know an
ellipse can't close a sentence (if you can, please give me an example). So for
me LO works as expected.

But you're right, that in most cases words are capitalized after an ellipse. So
perhaps there could be an additional option. But that's an enhancement request.

(I changed comonent to LibreOffice, because AutoComplete doesn't effect only
Writer)

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 130547] New: Function & Hotkey to Paste Format only in LO Writer - Enhancement Request

2020-02-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 130547
Summary: Function & Hotkey to Paste Format only in LO Writer -
Enhancement Request
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.8.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: stefane.guevrem...@gmail.com

Description:
When using the "Clone Formatting" tool, as soon as the mouse button is
released, the paintbrush function is "disbanded" and you must click the clone
icon every time you want to clone formatting.

There is the "Double Click" on the Paintbrush icon to clone multiple times. I
have not found a shortcut key that duplicates this function though.

The advantage with a "Paste Formatting" function, is the system keeps in memory
the last text format that was copied. You can then perform other functions in
between and re-execute the "Paste Formatting" function, and you then paste the
format of what still is in memory.

I use this function quite a bit in Google Docs & Google Sheets (Ctrl + Alt +
v).

Actual Results:
Paste Formatting in only one instance

Expected Results:
Paste Formatting in multiple instances, as long as format copied stays in
memory.

built and running on debian-buster.

My .odb has an ODBC connection to a copy of employee.fdb received with
Firebird within LibreOffice. The segmentation fault happened as soon
as I tried to right-click > Edit the first table.

I am removing keyword wantBacktrace and adding haveBacktrace.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 130546] New: Record changes and smart punctuation conversion causes pointless change and restores deleted text

2020-02-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=130546

Bug ID: 130546
Summary: Record changes and smart punctuation conversion causes
pointless change and restores deleted text
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.4.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: luke.kend...@gmail.com

Created attachment 157759
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=157759=edit
LO document illustrating the bug

Have smart punctuation enabled (I mean, so that typing a space after three
periods - ... - the periods are converted to an ellipsis.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Delete a comma adjacent to a word, let's call it WORD.
2. Type three periods
3. Type a space
4. Observe that WORD is marked as deleted, and inserted
(this is the pointless change mentioned), and more seriously:
5. the deleted comma is also inserted, i.e. its deletion has been reversed

See attached file.

Can confirm I am seeing this problem on:

Version: 6.3.3.2.0+
Build ID: 30(Build:2)
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.3; UI render: default; VCL: kde5;
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US
Calc:

Description:
The autocalculations seem to get stuck using threaded mode on a large
spreadsheet. All calculations complete successfully when threaded mode is
turned off.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Retrieve this google sheet and save as xlsx format using
File->Download->Microsoft Excel (.xlsx):

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1QGrMm6XSGWBVLI8I_DOAeJV5whoCnSdmaR8toQB2Jz8/edit#gid=0

2) Open the downloaded xlsx file with LibreOffice having "Enable multi-threaded
calculation" turned on under Tools->Options->LibreOffice->Calc

3) On the "StockBond Returns" sheet, see that cell T3465 displays "Err:522".
Click on cell T3465 and press F9 to recalculate. See that it's value is
recalculated correctly. Cells in the same column above still display "Err:522"

4) Click on cell T3464 and press F9 to recalculate. See that it's value and
many cells above it in the same column which previously showed "Err:522" are
now recalculated correctly.

5) See that cell T1742 and above still show "Err:522". Click on cell T1742 and
press F9 to recalculate. See that a few more rows above are recalculated
correctly. We can continue selecting cells and pressing F9 where the
calculations seem to get stuck and each time a few more rows get recalculated.

6) Turn off "Enable multi-threaded calculation" under
Tools->Options->LibreOffice->Calc and restart. Open same file and see that all
cells are calculated correctly. No cells display "Err:522".

Thanks Aron. Can also repro "White" as color in a new document when using
Format -> Character

Hi Dieter,
The "Capitalize first letter of every sentence" is enabled. So I expect that
this is applicable when the previous line does not end with a period or when
the current word is preceded with an ellipse... Which is not the case.

This is really cute... I originally posted this in the User forums, where it
was closed as "not a question" and I was instructed to come post it here.
Which seemed like a rather stupid place to post feature requests... but I did
as instructed. Now it's being closed as "NotABug". Really? This is how Libre
Office handles requests they don't want the Community to see or support???
This is B.S.!

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 130544] New: LibreOffice 6.4 crashes when tabbed (or minimal tabbed bar) selected after using print preview

2020-02-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=130544

Bug ID: 130544
Summary: LibreOffice 6.4 crashes when tabbed (or minimal tabbed
bar) selected after using print preview
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: william.gath...@libreoffice.org

Description:
Since LibreOffice 6.4, there is a regression on LibreOffice.

When an interface other than the default menu bar is chosen (e.g. Tabbed bar
interface or Minimal Tabbed bar interface), and the user select the print
preview, LibreOffice crashes.

The happens in different way depending on the OS used.

- On Windows 10, when leaving the print preview, LibreOffice crashes
immediately;
- On GNU/Linux, when leaving the print preview and *then* we try to leave
LibreOffice, LibreOffice crashes and open the crash recovery dialog.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Chose an interface other then the default menu bar interface
2. Open print preview
2. Close print preview

Actual Results:
On Windows 10, LibreOffice crashes immediately.
On GNU/Linux, LibreOffice crashes after we try to leave LibreOffice.

Expected Results:
No crash

Reproducible: Always

Interestingly, IFS is implemented in LO 5.2 in tdf#97831 for interoperability
with Excel 2016; yet, Excel 2016 does not have this function, and MS
documentation only mentions Excel 2019 and 365 as having it [1]. Could it be
that this function support was implemented incorrectly in LO? I only have Excel
2016; someone with Excel 2019 is needed to test and provide a reference
spreadsheet with this function made in Excel.

This bug has become WFM -- because of resolution of bug 52316.

1. Open original test document.
2. (wait a while -- it takes time for the page numbering to update)
Statusbar shows: Page x of 540 (Page q of 523 to print)
3. Choose page range to export, using (the q values in the parentheses)

Actual result: able to export desired pages (on first try) (even though the
"q" values do not correspond to the page numbers in the document or the "x"
values)

tested with:

Version: 7.0.0.0.alpha0+ (x64)

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 130542] New: cannot change page style

2020-02-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=130542

Bug ID: 130542
   Summary: cannot change page style
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.0.1 rc
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: tor...@yahoo.com

Description:
1: Open PageHeada.odt. First page has page style Chapitre, without
header. Put cursor before 'def'.
2: Insert -> More Breaks -> Manual Break -> Page Break. Or hit ^Enter.
This opens page 2, default page style, with header.
3: Double-click style Chapitre: page style is shown as Chapitre, but
header stays. Why?
4: Move cursor (Left) back to page 1, and back (Right) to p.2: page
style is default! Double-clicking style Chapitre (step 3) did not really work.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open PageHeada.odt. First page has page style Chapitre, without header. Put
cursor before 'def'.
2: Insert -> More Breaks -> Manual Break -> Page Break. Or hit ^Enter.
This opens page 2, default page style , with header.
3: Double-click style Chapitre

Actual Results:
Double-clicking style Chapitre (step 3) does not change the style.

Expected Results:
Double-clicking style Chapitre should change the page style to Chapitre.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

You have to add to odbc.ini:
SensitiveIdentifier = Yes

to input values into the tables.
You didn't test it with a "normal" LO-version, or did I understand it wrong
way?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 130540] New: FIREBIRD JDBC: Tableeditor will show all Integer-Types as Currency Format

Created attachment 157756

Screenshot shows currenbcy-format for integer as default-format

Connect to Firebird-Server through JDBC.
Try to create a Table.
Set one field as Integer (or BigInt, SmallInt ...).
All this fields will be shown as default with currency-format when inserting
new values.

Have a look at the attached screenshot. Shows this currency-format with 2
decimal places, which is totally wrong for a type, which couldn't save
decimal-places at all.

Could be the bug isn't special JDBC. But with ODBC-for example, creating of
tables leads to a crash here ...

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 59424] undefined: I/O Error while opening file from WebDAV over GVFS from Nautilus

It still works for me on another machine, with older OS, and hence older LO:

Version: 5.1.6.2
Build ID: 1:5.1.6~rc2-0ubuntu1~xenial10
CPU Threads: 4; OS Version: Linux 4.15; UI Render: default;

So, what are my options? Download the codebase, find where the change must be
made (as more or less explained in an earlier comment), and build my own
dedicated build? I don't hope so.
