Dear Gerard Bekking,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

The BTLR part is fixed now after bug #128880 in:

Version: 7.0.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: 1842276ed4785ff5198bdbc4ce6fe752315c8657

The font size is acting weird in the first cell: "DAFO CAMPOFRIO" should be
18pt but its only 8pt.
This is a new regression, the font size was good in bibisect-linux-64-6.4

With gen rendering, I reproduce exactly your pb.

On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today, I got a slightly
different behaviour.
When opening dialog, update icon is not pressed => ok
When clicking on a 3D-object, geometry properties changed =>ok
but update icon is pressed! (I mean I didn't press it but it's automatically
enabled).
so then when I click other 3D-objects, geometry properties change

Then, if I press "update" to disable it, when clicking 3D-objects, geometry
properties don't change.

In brief only the initial state is wrong.
=> Let's put this one to NEW since there's indeed something wrong

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 131266] New: Extra space added into .doc (possibly RTF)

2020-03-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131266

Bug ID: 131266
Summary: Extra space added into .doc (possibly RTF)
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.1.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: saywel...@gmail.com

I have some documents that were scanned and OCRed using older software and
saved as .doc. There are some double spaces due to interpretation of typewriter
font. In previous versions I could remove these by CTRL+H and searching for "
" (two spaces) and replacing with " " (single space).

In version 6.4 the same document now seems to have two characters for each
space. Inspection by ALT+x shows where there is one space (U+0020) in the
document opened in Writer 6.3.4.2. The same document opened in Writer 6.4.1.2
has 2 spaces: U+2006U+0020.

It seems that the new version converts the space to Unicode but doesn't delete
the older character

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 131265] New: 'update' icon in 3D Effects dialog has got reverse meaning

2020-03-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131265

Bug ID: 131265
Summary: 'update' icon in 3D Effects dialog has got reverse
meaning
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.0.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: regression
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Draw
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: rb.hensc...@t-online.de

Created attachment 158575
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=158575=edit
For testing 'update' icon in 3D-Effects dialog

Start current daily build of LibreOffice, e.g. from 2020-03-08.
Customize a toolbar to include the '3D Effects' icon.
Open attached document.
Start the dialog with tab 'Geometry'.
Notice, that the 'update' icon, second from right in upper line, is not
pressed.
Click a 3D-object. Notice, that the dialog is filled with the properties of the
selected object. Click another 3D-object, the properties change.
Click on the 'Update' icon to activate it. Again click on the 3D-objects.
Notice, that the values in the dialog do not change.
Close document without any changes.

Start an older build, e.g. from 2020-01-15. Do the same as above. Notice, that
now with pressed (activated) icon the dialog values are updated and with not
pressed (deactivated) icon the dialog values are not updated.

Because the meaning of the 'update' icon has always (starting with StarOffice)
been, that pressed, active icon means, that the dialog values will get the
values from the selected 3D-shape, I consider the now reversed behavior as bug.

It is OK in Version: 6.5.0.0.alpha0+ (x64)
Build ID: 147af9e2cf7f937ed83ab00574b6a418a2cb629e
CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 18362; UI render: GL; VCL: win;

This is not a LibreOffice bug, but was fixed in Qt 5.10. Your version of Qt is
too old, s. comment 7 and bug 119719 for more details.

As a workaround until your distro provides a new enough version of Qt, to make
"SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk3" work, you might have to install an extra package
containing the gtk3 VCL plugin, like "libreoffice-gtk3" [1]. Or you can
probably manually move one of the two windows to the other screen, by switching
using Alt+Tab and then moving by pressing Alt + using Drag'n'Drop.

Most possibly yes; yet I'd prefer to keep it separate because of comments from
Khaled, which imply that it might be difficult to fix that for different fonts
having different metrics - while in this case, the partial fix could be simpler
(just a guess).

Hi,
the error is again back with LibreOffice 6.4.1.1 BuildID:40 (Build:1) (also
tested the latest 6.3.x.x versions) with OpenSUSE LEAP 15.1; Kernel 4.12.14;
Qt5 5.9.7

Libreoffice reports VCL: kf5

Tested all gtk,gtk2/gtk3, kde4, kde5,gt3_kde5 SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN options.

Only SAL_USE_VLCPLUGIN=gen gives a presentation on 2nd monitor/beamer.
-> LibreOffice reprorts VCL: x11

All other reported SAL_USE_VLCPLUGIN option didn't change VLC seetings within
LibreOffice, always saying VLC: kf5.

hi,

comments (notes, post-it's, captions) are! an issue, since years, and 76324 is
the main bug for it, but making very little progress ... (it's too long for
developers to read and recheck )

the provided sample has only about 250 comments, that shouldn't be a problem on
recent hardware, but bigger amounts definitively are.

there have been - accidental? - improvements in ver 6.2.7.1 and 6.2.8.2, win!,
lin was still very slow. theese improvements seem to 'fade out' in 6.3, 6.4,
6.5 and 7.0 versions :-(

i suggest using the 6.2 versions for files with plenty comments, be careful,
they are not robust regarding parallelized computing, 'openCL' or 'threaded'
enabled produces errors (needing hard recalc).

if anybody knows how to find someone with skills to work an this annoying
problem i'd appreciate it very much, this bug is already affecting fun with the
program for too long time.

I tested MariaDB with this connections.

SQLITE-connection with JDBC doesn't work (SQLite only supports
TYPE_FORWARD_ONLY Cursors).

Seems to me we are looking for a special Windows-bug here.

I will change the titel to set this to SQLite and ODBC

some tests with with MSO 2016 and LO 6412 x64 in 7z-Archiv

MSO 2016 must repair Cshape-all.pptx after loading.

All C shape pptx saved with 6.4.1.2 have only some artefacts in the elements
after save as pptx.

but great improvements against previous tested versions but not perfect.

new save of pptx in odp are ok in first look and have same look like the

What JDBC driver are you using to connect to BASE? I'll give that a try.

I saw correct behavior using JDBC driver from Taro L. Saito, availble here
https://github.com/xerial/sqlite-jdbc. However, this driver produced immediate
cursor problems the moment I opened a table in the UI, a problem noticed by
Ratslinger on ask libreoffice.org. So I had to abandon the JDBC driver.
