It's not a follow-up since the whole image was stretched before. The issue
affects only the text.

[1] The Document Foundation

Tomaz, any idea why this happens? The SVG image fits perfectly with Inkscape or
GIMP. But maybe it requires Vegur to be installed.

2020-05-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=130140

@DaeHyun Sung -san, let me confirm, you mean this is an import issue from XLSX
file?

At least in Japanese, LibO unable to recognize Excel's format sub-modifier (I'm
not sure this is the right word, though), such as "[DBNum1]Standard" or
[DBNum1]0". We have to choose which option should be assumed.

In Japanese Excel,

Arabic: 1 10 11
[DBNum1]Standard: 一 十 十一
[DBNum1]0: 一 一〇 一一

LibO always choose [DBNum1] to [NatNum1], which has:

[NatNum1]:一 一〇 一一

or we can say LibO always assumes "[DBNum1]0" with some historical reason I
guess), this is currently design decision.
But you expect "一 十 十一", which is from "[DBNum1]Standard".
Do you want to claim to change this behavior?

NOTE: Now Excel can select "漢数字" as the number format, which always use
"[DBNum1]Standard", so the current design seems incompatible with Excel. At
least in Japanese, it is a considerable option to change it.

This is still present in LO Vanilla. While it has only a single report about

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118972] Writer should recognize ToC entries structure and formatting from MSO DOC/X (test with Update index)

Created attachment 160582
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=160582=edit
Comparison of MSWord vs Writer rendering

This screenshots show this issue. It also highlight the importance of keeping
those tabs in documents like this one, which try to keep a proper alignment of
numbers and titles (a style so necely done be LaTeX for example). This is IMHO
more important than it seems.

The style is kept upong loading the file, but is lost when updateing the TOC.

Here is a possible hint:

My guess is that Writer's and Word's TOC systems are different (Writer's is
more sophisticated, I'd say). In Writer one can explicitly define that a TAB
must exist between number and title. However, Word does not specify anything
about the separa tion of number and title. What Word does, I think, is use the
same format used in the numbering of headers in the document. If the document
has TABS after section numbers then the TOC will have TABS, too.

That is defined in the format of the multilevel numbering scheme. "Define new
multilevel list", hitting "More >>" to expand the dialog to more options, and
selecting an option for "Number followed by:". Can be TAB, SPACE or NOTHING.
and this affects both the headings throughout the document, and the Table of
Contents.

Then, to achieve the same results, Writer could look at the existing format of
multilevel heading numbering (which is correctly read). And add this TAB to TOC
elements if the multilevel numbering uses TABS.

Comparison of MSWord vs Writer rendering

The border below "logo" is missing in Writer.

Also the horizontal borders look like thick gray lines. This is not apparent at
high zoom, so it might be related to altialiasing or something like that (the
line not fitting pixels exactly but being in-between, so to say).

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 132898] New: FILEOPEN DOCX: Some missing borders in table

2020-05-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132898

Bug ID: 132898
Summary: FILEOPEN DOCX: Some missing borders in table
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: alvaro.seg...@gmail.com

Description:
A document contains a table with borders (some cells are joined vertically).
Loading it in Writer does not show one of the bottom borders.

BTW, horizontal borders look quite fuzzy, like being two gray pixels thick,
instead of one black pixel.

After investigating more, I found that in Word, the bad cell area has top and
bottom borders, but no middle border. If I enable the middle border then it
shows up. But this still makes no sense because the missing border is the
bottom one, and there is no middle border because the bad cell spans all the
table vertically.

Steps to Reproduce:
Thoroughly explained in the description. Sample attachment coming.

Actual Results:
Explained above. And in coming attachments.

Expected Results:
Explained above.

Reproducible: Always

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 132896] FILEOPEN PPTX: Image ignores its rotation

sample PPTX showing bad behavior

Look at the letter C in the right column. The embedded PNG file had the C
rotated, so it was further rotated after embedding in PowerPoint to make it
look upright. That works in PowerPoint, but not in Impress.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 132896] New: FILEOPEN PPTX: Image ignores its rotation

2020-05-09 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132896

Bug ID: 132896
Summary: FILEOPEN PPTX: Image ignores its rotation
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: alvaro.seg...@gmail.com

Description:
A PPTX contains an image rotated 90 degrees, saved in PowerPoint. When loading,
this image appears without that rotation.

I then noticed that if I then further rotate the image in Impress with the
mouse, the interactive markers show that the image container does rotate, but
the image rendered inside stays still.

Steps to Reproduce:
Steps explained in the description. A sample will be attached.

Actual Results:
Image stays oriented as originally

Expected Results:
Image should appear rotated.

Reproducible: Always

I would be happy to help implementing this feature.

@Michael Could you please provide the some example document for testing, and
some instruction how to test filters?

Such information will be very useful for implementation validation.

Wow, this was some condescending bug report :)

Anyways, still present.

In fact, the issue with the font color is also present on Windows.

The print preview on macOS has some issues with the tables (nowhere near as bad
as the screenshot), but produce at least a correct PDF

-> I'm making this an OS all issue. Please report a new bug for the table print
preview rendering (one bug report should only contain one issue)

I'll upload the extracted ODS file

See the "Area 1"... texts. Also the "Content" text renders incorrectly, but not
rotated, with a seemingly wrong bounding box.

And you may ignore the wrong letter "C" which is probably a different bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 132880] Area properties don't match color handling the outline shape receives

In addition to what Regina said: If you set a color when no shape is selected,
then it will become the default for newly inserted shapes. This can be done
with either the toolbar button, or with the Format > Area... menu command. With
your steps, there is already a selected shape, so only that shape gets the
color change. Otherwise, each time you will change the color of some shape, it
will become the default for newly inserted shapes, which might not always be
the desired result.

wrt the color shown on the toolbar button: This toolbar button is a split
button, meaning it has two clickable areas: (a) A dropdown arrow, which opens
the palette window, and (b) The main part of the button, which allows applying
the last selected color to other shapes with a single click. Now, given this
function of the main part, it must always show the last selected color and
*not* the currently active one, as otherwise it won't be clear what color will
be applied when clicking the button.
