A thinko: instead of "ScTabViewShell::GetActiveViewShell" should had been
"ScDocShell::GetBestViewShell".

Repro with Version: 6.4.4.2 (x64)
Build ID: 3d775be2011f3886db32dfd395a6a6d1ca2630ff
CPU threads: 12; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 18363; UI render: GL; VCL: win;
Locale: ru-RU (ru_RU); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: CL.

The problem is that setting the protection via API uses
ScTableSheetObj::protect/unprotect (sc/source/ui/unoobj/cellsuno.cxx), while UI
operation uses ScViewFunc::ProtectSheet/Unprotect
(sc/source/ui/view/viewfunc.cxx). The latter functions call
SetTabProtectionSymbol function (sc/source/ui/view/tabview3.cxx), that sets the
symbol. Interestingly, ScViewFunc::Protect doesn't do that.

Both pathways call ScDocFunc::ProtectSheet/Unprotect
(sc/source/ui/docshell/docfunc.cxx). The proposal is to move calling
ScTabView::SetTabProtectionSymbol there; and in the process, ScDocFunc::Protect
should be also changes to call ScDocFunc::ProtectSheet when doing sheet
protection to unify the code. SetTabProtectionSymbol must be called for *all*
visible document's view frames, not only the active one. To iterate over all
active view frames, use SfxViewFrame::GetFirst/GetNext; see implementation of
ScTabViewShell::GetActiveViewShell for additional details.

Sample file using SUM(SUMIF())

This bug is forwarded and translated from a report in a Chinese user forum,
original report (in Chinese) at:
https://bbs.libreofficechina.org/thread-2459-1-1.html

The issue is that in MS Excel the function SUMIFS() allows its third parameter
"criteria1" to be an array, and the return value is also an array corresponding
the SUMIFS() result with the criteria being each member of the parameter array.

The attached example shows one usage of this by using SUM() on the SUMIFS()
result array and calculate the sum of different people's salaries. This works
in Excel but not in Calc. The expected value for cell D17 is 15501 (sum of D10
and D13), while in Calc (after "Recalculate Hard" if necessary) D17 is 9812
(just D10).

On the other hand, I can't find official documentation saying SUMIFS() supports
array as the third parameter, and I don't know what the specification says, so
I'm filing as an enhancement request.

The original report is for version 6.3.6 on Windows 10 and 6.4.3 on Ubuntu
20.04, I've reproduced with 6.4.4:
Version: 6.4.4.2 (x64)

More a side bar to the visual glitch here of the bad icon mix.

Point is the Bitmap::Adjust functions have some very specific behaviors
applying filter transforms and replacing a source graphic (raster or vector).
Seems the UI should expose the full set of controls (with a cohesive set of
icons) for each of the MUFFIN modes.

That's great! The UI part should all be in sc/uiconfig/scalc/ui/ (the files
condformatmanager.ui, conditionalentry.ui, and conditionalformatdialog.ui):
https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/sc/uiconfig/scalc/ui/
There is also this commit that should be the source of this regression (see the
bisect log of bug 123927):

I'm not a developer either, so if you have further quesions I'd like to direct
you to the dev mailing list:

I'm sure the developers there will be happy to anwser questions regarding the

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 133259] New: Find All should always report no. of matches

2020-05-21 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133259

 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: luke.kend...@gmail.com

When you do a Find All, in all cases but one when you have at least one
successful matches, at the bottom of the document window Writer reports how
many matches there were, and how many characters or words matched.

This is a request to also report the number of matches in the edge case where
you have one or more successful matches but the number of characters matched is
zero.

This edge case happens when searching for zero-width text, such as ^$.

It means you can't know how many matches there are without some workaround like
replacing the matches with some text that isn't in the document and then
searching for that and then undoing the change.

Thanks for considering.

I have two versions of my books that use the same basic layout. One is for a
Kindle edition, one is for print.
I just noticed the text layout is wildly different on the first page.

Examples, from p1 (the Prologue):

line 7: "of warmth and hope back into the shocked faces around"
->
line 7: "of warmth and hope back into the shocked faces"

Following lines like:
"There would be no way to make this right, he knew."

and many others.

The page sizes are exactly the same: I have checked every property visible via
the style inspector for the style (Body_N_HdrFtr).
The paragraph styles are exactly the same: I have checked every property
visible via the style inspector for the style (Text Body).

The text layout differs wildly.

Please see attached screen shots and sample documents.

So what is the problem here? Sorry I do not get it. I just see

- Six functions with standard toolbar UI (under Color toolbar):Red, Blue,
Green, Brightness, Contrast, Gamma.

- Four functions in the Image tab with Tabbed UI: Brightness, Transparency,
Contrast, Gamma.

- Eight functions in the Sidebar Image Properties with four of them have no
icons: Brightness, Contrast, Color mode and Transparency and remaining four
with icons: Red, Green, Blue, Gamma

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 133256] New: LO Writer freezes during spell check on word with tracked change

2020-05-21 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133256

Bug ID: 133256
Summary: LO Writer freezes during spell check on word with
tracked change
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.2.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: u...@flanagan-consulting.com

Description:
Spell check proceeds as expected until reaching the word "Recently" at the
beginning of a paragraph. The word has been edited, with tracked changes on.
Spell check shows multiple open square boxes where chracters were deleted.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open file.docx
2. Press F7 to check spelling
3. Correct spelling errors normally
4. Encounter the word "Recently" with tracked changes

Actual Results:
lLibreOffice freezes. Utililzation on one CPU thread pins at 100%. Cannot
cancel or close LO from within the program.

Expected Results:
Should have ignored deleted characters and checked "visible" text for spelling.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Opened the file again, "showed" changes, and removed the lowercase "r" from
"Rrecently". Was then able to spell check without freezing LO.

Version: 6.4.2.2
Build ID: 40(Build:2)
CPU threads: 12; OS: Linux 4.12; UI render: default; VCL: kf5;

Still present. This might just have been a malformed download (from a website

gracefully when there is just plain text.

s/six/seven

luminance, contrast, red, green, blue, gamma, brightness

Suspect the NB color sections that use these controls should probably include
all 7 (exclude the 3 colors--so icons don't show on the NB).

Icons assigned to the six values for the VCL Bitmap:Adjust [1][2], Colibre had
a mix of icons in use. And in SVX also used the sc_ size [3].

And do the hard coded icon paths need clean up also? [4,5,6]

Well, as long as you agree it's a bug, I'm happy. I've provided a lot of
details, so if someone decides to work on it, hopefully it'll be clear at least
what I think it should be doing.

It seems that conditional formatting is a bit of a mess, based on the other bug
reports I see. I'd be curious to look at the code for that, although I'm not
in a position to learn enough to fix it. Can you point me to which module it
would be in?

Sample ODG

This is a skia bug, thus it can be reproduced in Windows, or via the gen
backend in Linux. No issue when not using skia.

The attached ODG was created by saving attachment 99486 (an MS Publisher file)
from bug 69080 as ODG. The format is irrelevant, but the PUB file requires bug
122660's fix to open correctly.

Open the sample, and check the image on the second page.

=> The image is blurry, and possibly incorrectly placed/sized (depending on the
zoom level).

This is a regression, even when using the skia backend, as it was fine ~2 weeks
ago, and exhibits both issues in LO 7.0.0.0.alpha1+
(7daab7859f3b5b4297c45ac1631c68387192a962).
It regressed in two steps, bibisected using repo bibisect-linux-64-6.5. Adding

Different icons for colors in Colibre

Step to reproduce

1. Create a new Writer file, make sure we choose Colibre icon set
2. Insert an image
3. In the Image toolbar, click the color icons

Then a floating bar appear consists of six functions: red, blue, green,
brightness, contras, gamma.

4. Click Tools > Customize, go to Toolbar tab and try search Red/Blue/Green

what bothers me is the icons for the colors above are not the same as the small
version with the other versions. The large and extra large version use white
palette that the main color barely can be seen.

I can confirm this bug on LibreOffice 6.4.3.2 40(Build:2) on slackware-current,
Linux kernel 5.4.42.

I get the
 • "Signature generation failed" "PDF export aborted" (attachment: "first error
window")
 • "Error saving the document" "General Error." "General input/output error."
(attachment: "second error window")
errors, too, when trying to export to a PGP-signed PDF.

I also get the
 • "lu*.tmp does not exist" (attachment: "Additional error window")
when trying to sign with a PGP key an already existing PDF.

I can sign ODT documents with PGP keys with no problems.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 133242] Calc conditional formatting condition dialog (ui) changes to no condition after copy: regression

2020-05-21 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133242

I'm now thinking that the main bug might really be in the intervening modal
dialog when I click on the 'condition' tool. Doing so launches a yes/no dialog
that asks:

"The selected cell already contains conditional formatting. You can either edit
the existing conditional format or you define a new overlapping conditional
format.

Do you want to edit the existing conditional format?"

If I click 'yes' I get what I have been reporting, which in fact does NOT allow
me to edit the existing format. If I click 'no', it just exits and does
nothing. Maybe what is supposed to be happening is that if I click 'yes' it
sends me to the dialog I expect, which would show the existing CF, and if I
click 'no' it should send me to the dialog which shows only the "overlapping"
creation option (which I would call 'shadowing').

However, even if that is the bug, what it really should do is avoid that
intervening dialog altogether, and just send me to a dialog that shows all
conditional formatting on the selected cell, and offers an 'add a condition'
button, as well as a 'cancel' button.
