P.S. This matches how Word 2003 and 2016 views it - so LO is faithfully
reproducing MSO in this case. Thus I am marking as NOTABUG.

In WPS this list comes from the current column (which probably makes sense
especially in large spreadsheets).

This is Tomaz's blog post about the new features in LibreOffice 7.0 (6.5 became
7.0). We now have an accessibility check tool as well as PDF/UA export.

https://tomazvajngerl.blogspot.com/2020/01/accessibility-checker-and-support-for.html

I think this can now be closed, and more precise issues can be described in new
bug reports, like for specific potentially missing accessibility tests?

Dear dpnaessens,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Dear Rafał Ramocki,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

Sorry. I think I did take your meaning the wrong way.

I actually wondered if I was doing the right thing posting about this on here,
as it is not a bug in any way. I was advised to post the request to bugzilla
and being inexperienced with Linux, libreoffice, and bugzilla I went ahead.

I was posting a feature request so if it shouldn't be here and should be
deleted I agree with this being done.

Where should I put feature requests?

Dear Libre

I am correcting a text that I received that was written in Word. I am writing
text over existing text, and introducing text in mid-sentence.

The bug is as follows: as I am typing, the words stick together and the spaces
accumulate at the end of the sentence. This is irritating as it requires that I
go back and add spaces in between the words I have typed and delete the spaces
accumulated at the end of the sentence.

This is not a completely consistent bug. Sometimes I move the cursor and begin
to type in the middle of the next word and the editor records the times I press
the space bar and puts the spaces in their proper place.

Help!

Thank you.

Would it be possible you attach the original file before corruption? (I suppose
you made some backups since you work on files which may contain 100 equations).
+ indicate minimum step by step process to reproduce this?

Indeed it seems a dup of tdf#54342 but we need a way to reproduce this to
pinpoint the problem.

Of course, if your file contains private/confidential part, don't hesitate to
sanitize it (see
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/Bugzilla/Sanitizing_Files_Before_Submission)

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 133651] New: FORMATTING not saved on FILESAVE in columns 65+ when cells in column only have formatting and no content

2020-06-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133651

Bug ID: 133651
Summary: FORMATTING not saved on FILESAVE in columns 65+ when
cells in column only have formatting and no content
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.3.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: graphit...@yahoo.com

Description:
If you make cell formatting only changes (no cell contents) in a column, from
column 65 and up, they do not get saved. The cell formatting only appears to
save if somewhere in that column there is a cell with cell contents (doesn't
have to be the same cell as the formatting).

Example: I was using calc to draw floor plan layouts using cells as increments
of area. No cells had contents, but was setting background colors. When
saved, everything in first 64 columns saved, nothing 65+. If I change a cell
background in column 65 (Column BM by default naming) and in that same column
change a different cell's column to have a value in it, then it saves. If you
then remove just the content from the one cell, leaving the background of the
other cell, when you save, the entire column is wiped out.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. New File
2. Go to Column "BL" (64th column)
3. Change a cell background color
4. Go to Column "BM" (65th column)
5. Change a cell background color
6. Save file and close
7. Reopen file (BL color change still there, BM color change erased)
8. Change a cell background color in column BM
9. Put text (single character will do) in a different cell in column BM
10. Save and close
11. Reopen file, both text and color cell show in column BM
12. Delete text from BM cell with text, but leave colored cell
13. Save and close
14. Reopen file, colored cell is gone.

Actual Results:
Cell formatting in columns 65+ are removed if column has no cell data in any
cell.

Expected Results:
Formatting in all cells regardless of where in spreadsheet, and regardless of
other content in column, should be saved as edited.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 133459] FILEOPEN: User defined number format not applied to fields inside header or footer

2020-06-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133459

What I found so far: The field code indeed seems to use automatic styles, with
one exception: During the import of , there is a
special code in the SvXMLImport::SetAutoStyles method that inserts already
existing number styles into automatic styles as well. But for this to happen,
the mnImportFlags member must include the SvXMLImportFlags::CONTENT flag.

For the fodt import, this method is called just once with mnImportFlags ==
SvXMLImportFlags::ALL. That's when the number style from is
inserted into automatic styles, and later consumed from there by the header
field.

But for odt, this method is called twice, because there is
 in both styles.xml and content.xml:

- For styles.xml, it's called with mnImportFlags == (SvXMLImportFlags::STYLES |
SvXMLImportFlags::MASTERSTYLES | SvXMLImportFlags::AUTOSTYLES |
SvXMLImportFlags::FONTDECLS), so the number style isn't inserted into automatic
styles, and later can't be found by the header.

- For content.xml, it's finally called with mnImportFlags ==
(SvXMLImportFlags::AUTOSTYLES | SvXMLImportFlags::CONTENT |
SvXMLImportFlags::SCRIPTS | SvXMLImportFlags::FONTDECLS). But while the number
style is inserted, it has no use here, as the header is defined in styles.xml,
and was processed already.

Sorry,

I can't reproduce this bug any more, as told before in comment #2. You may
close this bug as INSUFFICIENTDATA now.

I would have marked it this way myself if I had the power to do so. RESOLVED is
definitely not the right thing because the cause is still unclear. But it i not
relevant any longer given that 6.4.4.2 is out and Version: 7.1 is in alpha0+
state.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 132751] LibreOffice Table breaking

2020-06-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132751

Another problem with this table is that the first paragraph of column one
typically has "keep with next" set - which means the rows will try to stick
together. That's why the table starts on a new page by itself. Removing keep
with next paragraph property probably solves your problem.

This "merged cell border" problem looks like the opposite example of bug 60378
which was fixed for LO 7.0.

However, I can't even turn off the border with the UI - so not sure how this
one would work out... Definitely a low priority edge case.

(sw: save one vcl layout call in SwFntObj::DrawText(), 2018-08-16), but
now layouts are shared not only inside SwFntObj::DrawText(), but also
between SwFntObj::GetTextSize() and SwFntObj::DrawText().

To get there, create an SwFntObj cache member that stores already
calculated vcl layouts. SwFntObj already derives from SwCacheObj, so no
need to explicitly expire this cache member.

Total number of GenericSalLayout::LayoutText() invocations go down from
8 to 5 with this when pressing a key in Writer.
