[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 134456] New: Hyperlink colours cannot be changed by changing Hyperlink style

2020-07-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=134456

Bug ID: 134456
Summary: Hyperlink colours cannot be changed by changing
Hyperlink style
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.3.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: luke.kend...@gmail.com

I expected that by selecting a hyperlink in a cell and opening the Manage
Styles panel, which showed the style was Hyperlink, that I could change the
font color by the Font Effects tab, which shows a preview of the hyperlink as
expected.

Nor did selecting the text of the hyperlink and setting the colour via the text
colour toolbar control. It had no effect either.

But doing so has no effect. The only way to change a hyperlink color is as per
the instructions
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t=j==s=web==2ahUKEwjW4_zV3q3qAhVszzgGHWmFBvMQFjABegQICxAE=https%3A%2F%2Fwiki.documentfoundation.org%2Fimages%2Ff%2Ff1%2FWG5403-WorkingWithText_2.odt=AOvVaw3O96P0cDyKv6WHN4RH8ifL

Perhaps either enable the font colour to be set in the usual way, or grey out
the controls which don't have any effect.

Confirmed in Version: 6.4.5.2 (x64)
Build ID: a726b36747cf2001e06b58ad5db1aa3a9a1872d6
CPU threads: 12; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 18363; UI render: GL; VCL: win;
Locale: ru-RU (ru_RU); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: CL

OASIS OpenDocument 6.1.18 tells:

> TIMEVALUE
> Summary: Returns a time serial number from given text.
>
> Syntax: TIMEVALUE( Text T )
>
> Returns: Time
>
> Constraints: None
>
> Semantics: This computes the serial number of the text string T, which is a
> time,
> using the current locale. This function shall accept ISO time format
> (HH:MM:SS),
> which is locale-independent. If the text of T has a combined date and time
> format,
> e.g. -MM-DD HH:MM:SS, the fractional part of the date serial number is
> returned.
> If the text of T does not have a time format, an evaluator may attempt to
> convert
> the number another way (e.g., using VALUE), or it may return an Error (this is
> implementation-dependent).
>
> See also TIME 6.10.17, DATE 6.10.2, DATEVALUE 6.10.4, VALUE 6.13.34

As I read it, it accepts *a* time format (see the "If the text of T does not
have a time format"), so the requirement to accept ISO time format is not
exclusive, but a minimal requirement, not denying accepting other formats like
non-ISO "0:66". Additionally, there's an explicit provision that the value may
be converted using *another* (unspecified) way (and an example given, which
again is not exclusive).

This issue creates interoperability problem, since e.g. MS Excel 2016 accepts
such values, thus formulas working in Excel don't work in Calc.

Dear Yousuf Philips (jay) (retired),

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 134455] New: Timevalue Err:502 REGRESSION

2020-07-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=134455

Bug ID: 134455
   Summary: Timevalue Err:502 REGRESSION
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.3.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: william.full.m...@gmail.com

Description:
Timevalue function produces "Err:502" on a long used and established formula.

* This forula has not changed since 2015

* It is used to convert a number in minutes to a time value
x Example: =TIMEVALUE("0:66") --> used to give "01:06" (one hour and 6
minutes).

* A spreadsheet included that works: v6.3.4.2, fails: v6.4.3.2

* The required result is a time value that is used in other time related
formulas.

* The error itself fails to provide an number time value. For example time for
5 minutes:  =TIMEVALUE("0:05") -> "00:05" or 0.003472 (numeric)
x No numeric version for: =TIMEVALUE("0:66") is available, just the error
string.

Steps to Reproduce:
See attached example.

1. Enter formula ' =TIMEVALUE("0:66")' should give 1 hour and 6 minutes
2. So on for similar time values
3. Foruma must give a decimal value suitable for use in further time
caculations.

Actual Results:
The resulting value is:

Err:502

Expected Results:
The correctly formatted time text string must be converted to a the
corresponding valid time value

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:

This is a SHOW STOPPER. I must UNINSTALL the release version v6.4.3.

I must revert v6.3.4.2.

We use probably millions of time calculations in Excel or LibreOffice.

This bug is a really serious Q/A failure.

LibreOffice About box included with the screen shots.

I hae not found out how to provide uploads/screenshots and sample spreadsheet.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 134454] New: Font not rending marks glyph properly

2020-07-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=134454

Bug ID: 134454
Summary: Font not rending marks glyph properly
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.4.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: a.kalu...@live.com

Description:
I am developing a musical neume font. I have certain font marks get anchored to
glyphs. While the woff font behaves correctly. The otf font in LibreWriter
behave correctly initially. It breaks as soon as I change the color of any mark
to glyph character.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install the font from www.anisimkalugin.com/neume_font/kruki_kalashnikov.ttf
2.Open LibreOffice Writer and set the text Wáà change the font face to kruk
3. Select the á character. Its a bit difficult so you may need to switch to a
different font colorize it and then switch it back to kruk and you will see the
problem.

Actual Results:
The color change breaks the _shaper feature of the font faces.

Expected Results:
The color change shouldn't break the _shaper feature of the font face and
simply change the color of the mark.

@Buovjaga
Is this only a command line thing a build time (your builds contain a date) or
is there more to be done?

For more discussion, see https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/95791. Even
more info in bug 133662, which went a bit out of scope ;-)

Personally I would put a button with text just next to the close button, like
the previous "Copy Version Info". For me the little icon button looks out of
place and isn't obvious (also for the reporter).

And it would be nice, if someone could restore the Ctrl+C functionality, but I
don't consider this essential with the button.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 133984] Enhancement: Support for real-time and offline collaborative editing in LibreOffice (desktop)

2020-07-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133984

I changed the title of this enhancement request to „real-time and offline
collaborative editing“ to not confuse with the terms used. Here are the terms
used for collaborative editing:

*Collaborative editing* (synonyms: co-authoring, parallel editing) means that
multiple users can work together on a document, spreadsheet or presentation,
over the inter/intranet (e.g. saved in a CMIS). This term comprises *real-time*
and *offline* collaborative editing.

*Real-time collaborative editing* (synonyms: real-time parallel editing,
real-time co-authoring, simultaneous collaborative editing) means that multiple
users can simultaneously edit the same document. If anyone else is working on
the document, the user sees their presence and the changes they're making in
real-time.

*Offline collaborative editing* (synonyms: offline parallel editing,
asynchronous collaborative editing, synchronised collaborative editing) means
that the user can keep working on the shared file, independently whether he/she
is connected. When the user goes offline, the application switches from
real-time collaborative editing to offline collaborative editing. If there are
others editing the same document, they won't be able to see the changes while
the user is offline. When the user goes back online, he/she will be notified of
any changes that are available, and other users will see the changes made by
the user.

I think this could fairly easily be implemented by resurrecting bug 89394's
commit 93eefe54f5d6b6092371bad1e8689d29eee2 and changing it to use:

OUString sSysTempPath;
if( osl::FileBase::getTempDirURL( sSysTempPath ) == osl::FileBase::E_None )
bIsInTempPath = !sSysTempPath.isEmpty() && sURL.startsWith( sSysTempPath );

However, as IT support, I might like the debugging ability to see a recently
edited file in the tmp folder that a user claims they worked on and is now
lost. If you see that they only worked on a temporary copy, then it isn't a
surprise that it is lost. [But that scenario is less of an issue now, since
saving doesn't recommend the tmp folder since LO 5.4's tdf#80807 guisaveas:
never recommend system's tempdir.]

So there are some pros and cons in implementing this. Someone will probably
complain if this bug report is fixed (since I had complaints about bug 80807
from someone who liked repeatedly saving to /tmp/). Regardless, I'll mark this
as an EasyHack. Make sure you read and understand the arguments from bug 89394.
The ideal fix would be a threaded approach as described in bug 101302 - but
that is beyond EasyHack.

Ok, that wan't obvious to me. Please do add an idiot-proof label such as "Copy
Version to Clipboard".

I tried it, and it suffers from the "Clipboard persistence bug" where you have
to paste while LO is still running. If you exit LO first, there is nothing
actually in the clipboard to paste.

See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ClipboardPersistence for more about this.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 134446] New: I cannot copy text within Libre Office and paste it as the document name when I save the file.

2020-07-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=134446

Bug ID: 134446
Summary: I cannot copy text within Libre Office and paste it as
the document name when I save the file.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.4.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: adroc...@gmail.com

Description:
I use Libre Office (Writer) for my writing jobs. Each of my jobs has a job
title and number associated to it. In Microsoft Word, I just copy that title
and number to use as the file name by "Save As" and then paste it into the
description. In Libre Office, I copy the title and number, but it will not
allow me to paste it into the file description. Nothing pastes at all. Would be
great to paste whatever was copied.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Copy text within your document
2. Go to File > Save As
3. Paste into the "Save As" form field (area where you'd name the document)
4. Discover it won't paste for some reason
5. Get frustrated
6. Hand type everything in
7. Hit "Save"

Actual Results:
LibreOffice Writer won't allow you to paste copied text into a file name when
saving the file.

Expected Results:
The software should have recognized that I had text copied already, and then
pasted it when directed. Instead, it does nothing.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 134352] Skia engine leaves scaled raster images far blurrier than does hardware rendering

2020-07-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=134352

Not sure if it's appropriate to call it fixed necessarily, but it's definitely
an improvement: https://i.imgur.com/43brkmR.png

Top image is hardware rendering, middle image is Skia without forced software
rendering, and bottom is Skia with forced software rendering.

All three had anti-aliasing applied.

Skia with forced software rending is still appreciably blurred, just not nearly
to the extent that it was in the first round of testing:
https://i.imgur.com/0NP4IJ8.png

The question now is more of a case of what LO developers consider a close
enough approximation for their own level of tolerance.

It'd be disappointing for this output to be the end-all and be-all of the
result, because even with this daily build that I downloaded from your link,
Skia visibly remains less than on par with hardware rendering.

Is there necessarily supposed to be a degradation in quality between the three
methods (hardware/Skia/Skia forced software rendering) and that's meant to be a
known and acceptable trade-off?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 134445] New: "About Libre Office" should enable copy (like it used to)

2020-07-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=134445

Bug ID: 134445
Summary: "About Libre Office" should enable copy (like it used
to)
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.1.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: framework
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: jim.av...@gmail.com

Description:
Help->About Libre Office shows version info, etc. As of 7.1 this is has been
made facier, with hyperlinks to release notes, etc.

However, in the process copying to the clipboard (e.g. with Ctrl-C) has been
disabled. This prevents copying the version info, e.g. to put into a bug
report.

At several points the bug system asks users to copy "the information in
Help->About Libre Office" into a bug report, but now this is impossible.

To summarize: The "About" box text should be copyable

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Help->About Libre Office
2. Try to copy information there into another app

Actual Results:
You can't (can't select text, so can't copy it)

Expected Results:
.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Description:
Position of the image affected footnote rendering on screen & footnote distance
at PDF export

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the attached file

3. See wrong rendering on the second page. Which only looks as some footnote
painting error (which doesn't correct after zoom in/out
4. Export to PDF -> Notice that does make a difference
5. Save & reload -> Different layout of doc in question

Happens with 'to character' and 'to character'
