https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65371 --- Comment #13 from QA Administrators --- Dear dfrerichs, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=135790 Bug ID: 135790 Summary: "%MOD1" appears in LO Tip of the Day #41 Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.0.0.3 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: medium Component: UI Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: i...@skierpage.com Created attachment 164340 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=164340=edit %MOD1 appears in Tip of the Day 41 I started my LibreOffice flatpak (7.0.0.3 8061b3e9204bef6b321a21033174034a5e2ea88e) and Tip of the Day 41/222 appeared: Need to insert the date in a spreadsheet cell? Type Ctrl+; or Shift+%MOD1+; to insert the time. "Ctrl" should appear in place of %MOD1 on Windows and Linux. Expected result: Need to insert the date in a spreadsheet cell? Press Ctrl+; . Press Shift+Ctrl+; to insert the time. (or just mention Calc's Insert menu items for this, see below) Cause of the bug: The text comes from https://github.com/LibreOffice/core/blob/18c97df0dcb348134d3ceac022a799338e02d7f5/cui/inc/tipoftheday.hrc#L88 : { NC_("RID_CUI_TIPOFTHEDAY", "Need to insert the date in a spreadsheet cell? Type %MOD1+; or Shift+%MOD1+; to insert the time."), "", "tipoftheday_c.png"}, I think the bug lies in TipOfTheDayDialog::UpdateTip() in https://github.com/LibreOffice/core/blob/master/cui/source/dialogs/tipofthedaydlg.cxx#L82 which performs a single replace of "%MOD1" leaving the second variable unchanged. It would have to replace %MOD1 in a loop or use a replaceAtMultiple function or regexp. Additional info: This specific tip is still really hard to read because semicolon is also punctuation organizing a sentence; I changed the phrasing above under "Expected result" to clarify. Ideally you'd use CSS that draws keycaps e.g. https://jsfiddle.net/7rg5pLs8/1/ . That might address bug 130979, which talks of the difficulty of localizing the modifier key's name. There's also a mail thread about problems with this tip for keyboard layouts that don't have a dedicated semicolon key, https://www.mail-archive.com/l10n@global.libreoffice.org/msg12782.html Maybe it's easier if this Tip of the Day tells users Use the menu items Insert > Date and Insert > Time to insert the current date or time into a spreadsheet since these menu items indicate the keyboard shortcut. Then there's no mention of %MOD1 or Ctrl and all three problems go away! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 135788] New: Substitute fonts Linux Libertine and Linux Biolinum with Libertinus
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=135788 Bug ID: 135788 Summary: Substitute fonts Linux Libertine and Linux Biolinum with Libertinus Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Installation Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: joaopauloag-freedesk...@yahoo.com.br The fonts Linux Libertine and Linux Biolinum were made by the Libertine Open Fonts Project, which don't update them since 2012-07-06 (https://sourceforge.net/projects/linuxlibertine/files/). Even the Graphite variants of those fonts, Linux Libertine G and Linux Biolinum G, don't have an update since 2012-01-16 (https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/3.5#Writer shows that the Graphite variants were from http://www.numbertext.org/linux/). Khaled Hosny forked the Linux Libertine font family in 2012 from the latest release 5.3.0, expanded it and released its first updated version in 2016 with unified font names Libertinus: Libertinus Sans (from Linux Biolinum), Libertinus Serif (from Linux Libertine) and Libertinus Mono (from Linux Libertine Mono). This info is from "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linux_Libertine#Derivative_works;. The Libertinus font family is still being updated as of 2020 (https://github.com/alerque/libertinus). Please remove the Linux Libertine G and Linux Biolinum G font families from the .MSI package for installation on Windows and substitute them with the Libertinus font families. Another way to improve would be removal of the fonts from the main .MSI package and creating an ancillary .MSI package with just the current and legacy fonts (the current would be installed by default and the legacy would have to be selected by the user at install time). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 135787] New: Animated elements disappear when moving slide show backwards
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=135787 Bug ID: 135787 Summary: Animated elements disappear when moving slide show backwards Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.0.0.3 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Impress Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: joaol...@gmail.com Description: During slide show, after passing a slide with animated objects, and then returning to that same Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a new presentation, add some text to the title slide. 2. Add a slide with four or more lines of text; add animation "appear on click" to each of these lines. 3. Add a third slide, and add some text to it. 4. Start slide show, move forward to display all the animated lines on the second slide, then move to the third slide, then return to the animated slide Actual Results: Some of the lines of text in the animated slide will not be displayed. The animation will be displayed correctly only if you return to the previous slide (title slide in this case), and then move forward to the animated slide. Moving backwards messes up the animated slide. Expected Results: When returning to the animated slide during slide show, the animation should be displayed backwards; all elements should be displayed.
