Dear dfrerichs,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

The above version resolves the spin problem.
Thanks to the developers.
However, when multiple objects (with animation effects) are played back in
sequence, the objects that are not immediately before will disappear when
"Back" is executed. This has not been improved.

8061b3e9204bef6b321a21033174034a5e2ea88e) and Tip of the Day 41/222 appeared:

  Need to insert the date in a spreadsheet cell? Type Ctrl+; or Shift+%MOD1+;
to insert the time.

"Ctrl" should appear in place of %MOD1 on Windows and Linux.

Expected result:
Need to insert the date in a spreadsheet cell? Press Ctrl+; . Press
Shift+Ctrl+; to insert the time.

(or just mention Calc's Insert menu items for this, see below)

Cause of the bug:

The text comes from
https://github.com/LibreOffice/core/blob/18c97df0dcb348134d3ceac022a799338e02d7f5/cui/inc/tipoftheday.hrc#L88
:
{ NC_("RID_CUI_TIPOFTHEDAY", "Need to insert the date in a spreadsheet
cell? Type %MOD1+; or Shift+%MOD1+; to insert the time."), "",
"tipoftheday_c.png"},

I think the bug lies in TipOfTheDayDialog::UpdateTip() in
https://github.com/LibreOffice/core/blob/master/cui/source/dialogs/tipofthedaydlg.cxx#L82
which performs a single replace of "%MOD1" leaving the second variable
unchanged. It would have to replace %MOD1 in a loop or use a replaceAtMultiple
function or regexp.

Additional info:

This specific tip is still really hard to read because semicolon is also
punctuation organizing a sentence; I changed the phrasing above under "Expected
result" to clarify. Ideally you'd use CSS that draws keycaps e.g.
https://jsfiddle.net/7rg5pLs8/1/ . That might address bug 130979, which talks
of the difficulty of localizing the modifier key's name. There's also a mail
thread about problems with this tip for keyboard layouts that don't have a
dedicated semicolon key,
https://www.mail-archive.com/l10n@global.libreoffice.org/msg12782.html

Maybe it's easier if this Tip of the Day tells users
Use the menu items Insert > Date and Insert > Time to insert the current date
or time into a spreadsheet

since these menu items indicate the keyboard shortcut. Then there's no mention
of %MOD1 or Ctrl and all three problems go away! 

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 135789] New: latest upgrad has document offset from ruler, and when scroll down duplicats the line for ever

2020-08-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=135789

Bug ID: 135789
Summary: latest upgrad has document offset from ruler, and when
scroll down duplicats the line for ever
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: jlhar...@ntelos.net

Description:
I can not get any document to center with the ruler at top of display. The
document is offset to the left. Also when viewing a table and I scroll, the
right most column does not scroll with the rest of the table. So far two
problems: one is the centering of th document, the other is scrolling down a
document, it just repeats a line for ever. Sometimes a line of text is have
visible between lines of text.
This started with LO version 6.4.6.2 upgrade from version 6.4.5

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open document
2.scroll down

Open document and scroll down and the last lines are frozen and keep on
repeating also any watermarks keep on repeating.

Actual Results:
Open document (document has a four page table) Scroll down and LO leaves the
right most column in place, it does not scroll with the rest of the table. It is
as if the right column was frozen.
See above in Steps to Reproduce

Expected Results:
It displayed a table that had four columns that scrolled and one column that
stayed stationary.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
It should have scrolled the entire table.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 135788] New: Substitute fonts Linux Libertine and Linux Biolinum with Libertinus

2020-08-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=135788

Bug ID: 135788
Summary: Substitute fonts Linux Libertine and Linux Biolinum
with Libertinus
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Installation
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: joaopauloag-freedesk...@yahoo.com.br

The fonts Linux Libertine and Linux Biolinum were made by the Libertine Open
Fonts Project, which don't update them since 2012-07-06
(https://sourceforge.net/projects/linuxlibertine/files/).

Even the Graphite variants of those fonts, Linux Libertine G and Linux Biolinum
G, don't have an update since 2012-01-16
(https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/3.5#Writer shows that the
Graphite variants were from http://www.numbertext.org/linux/).

Khaled Hosny forked the Linux Libertine font family in 2012 from the latest
release 5.3.0, expanded it and released its first updated version in 2016 with
unified font names Libertinus: Libertinus Sans (from Linux Biolinum),
Libertinus Serif (from Linux Libertine) and Libertinus Mono (from Linux
Libertine Mono). This info is from
"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linux_Libertine#Derivative_works;. The
Libertinus font family is still being updated as of 2020
(https://github.com/alerque/libertinus).

Please remove the Linux Libertine G and Linux Biolinum G font families from the
.MSI package for installation on Windows and substitute them with the
Libertinus font families. Another way to improve would be removal of the fonts
from the main .MSI package and creating an ancillary .MSI package with just the
current and legacy fonts (the current would be installed by default and the
legacy would have to be selected by the user at install time).

I've just done a clean reinstall of V7 and really pushed things. So far no
problems, so it looks like you folks were right that it was a corrupted user
profile that I eventually managed to knock on the head. Don't close the bug
report quite yet, since I'll give it a few more days (the fault was happening
really frequently so it will be very obvious quickly whether it continues).
But if it was a corrupted user file then many thanks for your help.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 135787] New: Animated elements disappear when moving slide show backwards

2020-08-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=135787

Bug ID: 135787
Summary: Animated elements disappear when moving slide show
backwards
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.0.0.3 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: joaol...@gmail.com

Description:
During slide show, after passing a slide with animated objects, and then
returning to that same

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new presentation, add some text to the title slide.
2. Add a slide with four or more lines of text; add animation "appear on click"
to each of these lines.
3. Add a third slide, and add some text to it.
4. Start slide show, move forward to display all the animated lines on the
second slide, then move to the third slide, then return to the animated slide

Actual Results:
Some of the lines of text in the animated slide will not be displayed. The
animation will be displayed correctly only if you return to the previous slide
(title slide in this case), and then move forward to the animated slide. Moving
backwards messes up the animated slide.

Expected Results:
When returning to the animated slide during slide show, the animation should be
displayed backwards; all elements should be displayed.

Does LibreOffice handle rtf, or not?

There is no binary answer to it. LibreOffice import handles RTF, however not
100% complaint all the time.. but it could also be a rendering issue (not
import). Or even something totally different..

An example file would be appreciated, we can't do much without one

Yes but that is bug 128243 where I just added attachment 164332 [details]

Sidebar deck on 1920x1080 (148ppi screen) w custom scaling set at 225%

This clip shows effect of WDM scaling to 225% on *minimum* width of the Writer
sidebar Properties deck with the Table content panel showing.

@Caolán, * -- excessive width is not the Table content panel as suggested in
bug 130197 for aligning content, but seems to reside still in calculating the
spin box width size when DE scaling is applied.

Not clear if for gtk3, or the other vcl backends, on Linux the spacing on
scaled UI is an issue. But it is for sure on Windows builds with the WDM
scalling UI.

CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.4; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3

Initial the table is 17 cm.
When centered with 1 cm left, because it is centered it will get 1 cm left and
1 cm right. So the remaining table should be 15.

But in the sidebar there is 16 cm column width. In the Table properties is
correct: 15 cm. IN the video you can see in the same second we have 2 different
value in the sidebar and in the Table properties tab.

This problem is definitely reproducable (v7.0.0.3, Windows 10 64-bit, 2004
build).

It seems to occur when text scaling is greater than 100%. The greater the
scaling above 100%, the greater the minimum sidebar width.

Bug ID: 135783
   Summary: cannot change page style
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.0.0.2 rc
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: tor...@yahoo.com

Description:
In pageB.odt, last page has Default style, with header.
Open the Styles panel, double-click page style Chapitre, which is
supposed to hide the header— it does not.
Go up one page, and come back to last page: style is back to Default!
It seems the style was never changed to Chapitre. Why?

Steps to Reproduce:
1. In pageB.odt, last page has Default style, with header.
2. Open the Styles panel, double-click page style Chapitre, which is
supposed to hide the header— it does not.
3. Go up one page, and come back to last page: style is back to Default!
It seems the style was never changed to Chapitre.

Actual Results:
double-clicking page style Chapitre does not change the style

Expected Results:
double-clicking page style Chapitre should change the style, remove the header.

How do you expect the bug fixed without example to investigate?
You can attach an example file by using
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?bugid=135782=enter

Of course, the document must be sanitized (see
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/Bugzilla/Sanitizing_Files_Before_Submission)
since all files are automatically made public in Bugzilla.

You can also give a try to 6.4.6.

Created attachment 164328
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=164328=edit
a test document

Test document attached.

It appears to be only tabs used for indentation at the start of lines that have
issues.

I'm currently using the libreoffice build (RPMs) from libreoffice.org in case
that matters.

Reproduced with 7.0.0 on Windows 10:
Version: 7.0.0.3 (x64)
Build ID: 8061b3e9204bef6b321a21033174034a5e2ea88e
CPU 线程: 2; 操作系统: Windows 10.0 Build 18363; 界面渲染: Skia/点阵; VCL: win
Locale: zh-CN (zh_CN); 界面: zh-CN
Calc: threaded

However it seems to be specific to this font, as changing to other fonts (I've
tried Scheherazade and Noto Kufi Arabic, not sure how suitable they are for
Persian, though) gives the correct rendering shown in the picture. So not sure
if this is a bug in LO or in this font.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 134393] Libreoffice crashes if preview is enabled on Directory Opus filemanager

2020-08-15 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=134393

But the description misses everything needed for reproduction (even trying to
install it doesn't hep me):

1. "v.12, latest as of today" - is it 12.21 x64?
2. The program allows to be installed in two kinds (Pro edition vs Light
edition) - which one?
3. "with file preview panel enabled" - how one enables that stuff? The program
is rich in settings, and I don't want to spent lots of lime trying to find
something in a program I don't use and need, other than to reproduce the
problem.

I can't confirm with

Version: 7.0.0.3 (x64)
Build ID: 8061b3e9204bef6b321a21033174034a5e2ea88e
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19041; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB
Calc: threaded

But it seems, that tably style "Academic" has been removed

So could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ? I have set the
bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug
is still present in the latest version. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the
problem went away.
