If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 136121] some fonts do not render digits which used to in older version
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=136121 --- Comment #3 from Ming Hua --- (In reply to Taher Alkhateeb from comment #2) > Perhaps what you're saying is correct. However older versions of LibreOffice > used to show the digits anyway, which means it might fallback to another > font or something? Right now what happens is what I described. We can close > this ticket if you think this behavior should _not_ be addressed. But I > suppose a fallback font or something to that effect might be a better > approach? I definitely think the problem should be addressed, but to achieve that we must first find out what the problem is. If we eliminate the factor of Noto Kufi Arabic font (which you probably agree is irrelevant here), your problem becomes a very vague "I used to see digits in some unspecified old LO version, now in 6.4.6 the digits aren't displayed". And without more information, few people can help, unless he/she also stumbles into such a problem. All I was doing was trying to find an environment that can reproduce the problem while eliminating irrelevant factors. I believe in general LO uses the "Western" font to display the digit characters. And if one chooses some font without digit glyphs as the Western font, there will be fallback font used. Your report didn't specify how the font was set up in your system and LO. It would help if you can install an older version of LO on your system using parallel installation (for Linux, see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_in_parallel/Linux), and then confirm the problem is due to difference between LO versions, not some other changes in your system. Then it is probably also necessary to describe the various fonts installed in your system (I assume most Linux still uses fontconfig? So output of fc-list, fc-cache, etc.). If the problem doesn't happen to a fresh install and newly created document, an example file and the information about your LO configuration is also needed. I don't use Linux anymore, so I don't even fully know which questions to ask. I'll leave that to others. Meanwhile, as the bug reporter, the more information you can provide, the easier it is for other people to reproduce your problem and solve it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 136126] New: FILESAVE Bad linking of file data between instances during autosaves
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=136126 Bug ID: 136126 Summary: FILESAVE Bad linking of file data between instances during autosaves Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.3.1.2 release Hardware: All OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: psiebo...@gmail.com Using simultaneous instances of LibreOffice, the auto-save feature runs the risk of transferring and linking data from one instance to the other, which results in a lot of errors. This is fixed by simply pressing CTRL+Z on both instances on the sheets affected. The biggest cause of this appears to be when the auto-saving takes several seconds because the files are large (several MB each) and there seems to be an interpretation that as it initiates the auto-save that I am selecting the entire sheet to be dragged somewhere. This can result in no problems if the mouse pointer does not leave the window. However, especially when the auto-save appears unexpected and you going between instance windows. Due to the sizes of the files (30 MB each) in which I experience this, including an attachment is perhaps not advised. It would perhaps be easier to use auto-fill to create some large files that will be cumbersome enough to recreate the effect. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 136106] FILEOPEN DOCX Table formula with localized decimal separator does not work
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=136106 --- Comment #3 from Michael Warner --- (In reply to Mike Kaganski from comment #1) > Does this mean that it should take "/w:settings/w:decimalSymbol" from > word/settings.xml into account maybe? I don't have the latest build of LO installed on the machine I am currently using, so I have not attempted to open the attachment. I will say that in my patch I made it read the decimalSymbol from the settings file, so that is available. However, at the time (and still today) I wasn't sure how to get the decimal symbol of the user's current locale, so I did not attempt to convert that symbol if a user in one locale opens a document created in another locale. I wrote this in the commit notes for the patch. I'm happy to circle back around to that eventually, if nobody else gets to it sooner. Or more logical, if the cells are selected for sorting, > they should be sorted, empty or not... I confirm that LO-Calc 5.2.7.2 has the OP's mentioned behaviour. I also use colour-coded cells for missing data, but I avoid extending tables on the right into empty columns for keyboarding ergonomics. I tried this anyway in Excel today (version 1808 - Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus) and I grudgingly acknowledge that Excel sorts empty columns with background colour on the right side of a table when they are included in the sort range. Excel even offers a sort option to sort by background colour. So the behaviour desired by the OP is that of Excel. For the sake of compatibility, I am setting this to NEW. The change will affect only users who create sort ranges with empty cells on the right side. I have exported the spreadsheet in xhtml format to prevent involuntary change and the result is … awfull. First, (trivial) the tag in section show the value "- no title specified" while the filename (whithout extension) was expected. Second, the purpose of my message, my comment-note in cell D4 is displayed in an awfull format. I rewrote the sourcefile of my document to show a solution to this problem. I join 3 documents : - the spreadsheet : Exemple.ods ; - the original xhtml file : Exemple.xhtml ; - the modified xhtml document : Exemple - Modif.xhtml. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133434 --- Comment #3 from Mike Kaganski --- Yes, only in simplest cases there are cell borders that alone fully define some resulting border. Normally, each border of merged cell is originally represented by borders of several cells; e.g. 2x2. Each such cell may have own border ... so either we create complex rules that would definitely result in surprises for many, and anyway will cause reports because of "wrong" behaviour, or we keep it simple: just use the formatting of the first cell. IMO - WONTFIX. Just because any strategy here is no better, but this one has advantage of being simple, both in implementation, and in understanding. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
