[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 136457] New: Sidebar does not appear in Imress on iOS (regression)

2020-09-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=136457

Bug ID: 136457
Summary: Sidebar does not appear in Imress on iOS (regression)
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: Other
OS: iOS
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: iOS Editor
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: cont...@0x17.ch

Description:
Testing 4.2.8 (62) on iOS revealed, that it's not possible anymore to open the
sidebare in the Impress "component".

This used to work in previous releases. I can do the "bibisec" if needed using
the testflight versions.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a presentation file using the iOS app
2. Tap on the sidebare icon in the menu list

Actual Results:
Nothing happens.

Expected Results:
The sidebare should appear on the right hand side of the screen.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
4.2.8 (62) on iOS 13.7

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 128024] Focus not set properly when entering edit mode in a spreadsheet on iOS

2020-09-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128024

Out of curiosity I checked this with 4.2.8 (62). It's a tad better as I can use
the coursor keys of the (semi attached) hardware keyboard right after switching
into edit mode and after using the cursor keys I can also start typing
letters/numbers.

Typing right away (w/o using the cursor keys) is however still not possible, so
I keep the state of this issue as is.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 136456] New: Epub Ebook Export in Writer Overlines all table data when Hebrew, Greek and English used in cells

2020-09-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=136456

Bug ID: 136456
Summary: Epub Ebook Export in Writer Overlines all table data
when Hebrew, Greek and English used in cells
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.3.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: b...@internode.on.net

Description:
Though overline has not been selected, and the table exports to pdf and html
correctly, the epub export overlines the cell data when multiple languages are
used. Recreating the table still produces the same result.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create Table
2.Add cell data in English, Hebrew and Greek
3.Enhance font size of Hebrew and Greek words
Save table. Export to Epub
Check Epub result using Calibre 64 Reader.

Actual Results:
Table works, except all the cell data is overlined.

Expected Results:
The Table should appear as it is in Writer: NO overlining.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
The issue may be in the Calibre ebook reader. I will try to read the file in
another reader to see what happens...
I will attach the suspect table and its data.

This is a user error. It seems that I had somehow selected Brochure mode, which
has become the standard print mode and caused this behavior.

The selection is at File, Printer Setup, Options, Brochure

It can also be accessed from Tools, Options, LibreofficeWriter, Print, Brochure

I am unclear on how to get back to the non-brochure mode as the default.

This is a serious bug.

If you open a file and the "letter" and "read" are missing in the sentence "I

This is a bug that shows "I Can't the" not "I Can't read the letter". Does "I
Can't the" make sense to you?

It's a very serious bug for Japanese user.

Dear marcus.knappert,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Dear mrelwood,

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

It's a bit unusual that I see 7.1.0.0.alpha0+ and 4.4.7.2 mentioned in the
comments, and at the same time the version is set to 6.0.0.3, which isn't
mentioned anywhere else. It'd also be great to see the bugs added to the META
bugs they belong to from the start.

Confirmed using LO 7.1.0.0.alpha0+ (e2f4e65a7b8024c00b049eebf0d87637efda7f24),
4.3.0.4 / Ubuntu.
No error in LO 4.2.0.4.
=> regression

The good/bad exported files behave accordingly in a fresh master build, so it's
a FILESAVE issue.

Bibisected to the following commit using repo bibisect-43max. I don't see any
redlining in the document, so I don't know how it might be related, but this is
the bibisect result nevertheless.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 134210] FILEOPEN PPTX: Image shown with wider aspect ratio (and different clipping) - cropping not being applied.

I have the same problem, with .pptx files containing cropped circular (or other
shaped) images imported into Libre Office. The image, as it appears on the
presentation file imported into Impress, is distotrted, and not as expected, as
the cropping specified within the Powerpoint file is not being applied by LO
Impress.

I'm running LO Version: 6.4.6.2 (x64)
Build ID: 0ce51a4fd21bff07a5c061082cc82c5ed232f115
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 18363; UI render: default; VCL: win;
Locale: en-GB (en_GB); UI-Language: en-GB
Calc: threaded

On looking into this, within Impress, there is a 'shape' (circular or
otherwise) with Area filled by a Bitmap, which is the whole of the original
image used (when the .pptx file was created in Powerpoint, and present witnin
the .pptx archive file), distorted to fit the shape. (Note: it is not included
in the menu of Bitmaps)

Problem is that the Bitmap as used is distorted, and is not the portion of the
image selected by the creator of the .pptx file.

His description of his process "I created a shape (circle) then used format
shape, then filled it with a picture from a file. To move the picture around I
used the crop function to resize and move."

The underlying problem is that the cropping information is not being applied by
Impress in using the image as area bitmap. Whether this is because it is not
imported into LO, or then not being used, is beyond my knowledge.

In the case of Gerald's sample, there is is a 156*238 portrait image file
(image13.png) which is being stretched to square format for the circular shape,
rather than cropped as the designer intended.

I have amended the bug summary slightly: if I were raising this myself I would
probably summarise it as 'Image in imported .pptx file used as Shape Area
Bitmap not cropped as specified when file created in Powerpoint'. But I will
leave it to someone with more experience to change it if appropriate.

No problem, thank you for your answer. This problem will remain in the hands of
the developers and community.

I asked you this, because many users said that LibreOffice worked well in the
past, but now it is working bad. It's much easier in this case to find the
problem, because it's a small change that can be corrected. If something was
never working correct this code should be implemented, and this means more
time.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 136429] Field "Width of numbering" in list style tab 'Position' is wrongly restricted

2020-09-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=136429

Yes, I just discovered the same. So the problem is, that the field restricts
the input to the value 20, but it doesn't consider the unit.

File with corrected width

No, that is not the desired look. The heading text of the second line must not
be under the label but has to start at the same position as the text in the
first line.

The attached file shows, which formatting is desired.

Confirmed, settings on the 'Paragraph...' dialog 'Drop Caps' panel do not
support a drop cap higher than the line count of its paragraph. Even with a
greater 'Lines' count the initial being used is scaled *only* to the height of
the paragraph.

Can work around by insertion of a manual line break prior to paragraph end.
