[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 134004] Crash if I connect to a MS Access database
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=134004 --- Comment #7 from Alex Thurgood --- @jmueller : thanks for te version and bit info. The error message indicates that you need the required data provider. >From memory, if you have 64bit versions of MS-Office applications installed on your machine, then you need the redistributable database access engine (DAE) components, in their latest iteration (I could only find a downloadable file dating back to 2016). If however, you have 32bit MS Office applications installed, then you will need the 32bit redistributable database access engine (DAE) components. The problem is that you apparently can't mix 64bit DAE with 32bit office applications (including LO), nor vice-versa (64bit LO) with 32bit DAE. Do you know what bit type the MS Access file is ? That will determine what kind of provider you need. There have also been reports that MS Access files created with Office365 are not readable by LO, no matter which bit-type or DAE is installed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 136163] Crash in: rtl_uString_newConcat | Deleting unused styles
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=136163 --- Comment #4 from Kieran Grant --- I have been unable to reproduce the issue. I tried looking at the problem documents before I made further edits (in Older 6.4.5.2) but I could not re-produce the edits. It is possible that I had at the time a very unique situation that led to the crash. Furthermore I cannot seem to reproduce the crash after updating to 7.0.1.2. (I try to keep fairly up to date with the AppImage version of fresh) I do encounter other crashes at times such as when doing operations with two windows of the same document. (either turning of Formatting Marks and closing second window, etc). But I have yet to file a bug for them as I am usually pressed for time. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=136075 V Stuart Foote changed: What|Removed |Added CC||vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu --- Comment #4 from V Stuart Foote --- Alternative for consistency as Heiko pointed out in comments on the gerrit commit--split out the SB Lists content panel for the other modules. More work yes, but one or the other for consistency. Which is the better UX? Split or merged back to paragraph? Seems a special nature of lists in Impress/Draw--a Draw TextBox holding the list. The List items are not handled (format or style) as paragraphs in Writer--a List of Paragraphs. And because creating Lists is ubiquitous to authoring a presentation/illustrations maybe they are better kept on a SB content panel of their own? And for consistency do similar for Writer's List controls--a new List content panel for the Properties dialog there as well? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 136791] New: In Calc, cannot save change in paper size using BarTender 3rd party Zebra printer software
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=136791 Bug ID: 136791 Summary: In Calc, cannot save change in paper size using BarTender 3rd party Zebra printer software Product: LibreOffice Version: 3.3.0 release Hardware: All OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: LibreOffice Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: sbbr...@aol.com Description: BarTender is a 3rd party application designed to make using Zebra (thermal) printers easier. It installs itself as an interface between the (Windows 10 PC) computer and the printer. I am using the free version. I am using a standard 4x6" Zebra label printer. When printing labels in Libre Office (it works properly in Xcel) Steps to Reproduce: 1. Have a Zebra printer connected. 2. Install BarTender (free) 3. Attempt to adjust paper size in print properties to 4x6 and save. It will not save. Actual Results: In print properties, adjust stock to 4x6. Exit. Re-enter print properties. Stock type is always default (4.12 in x 4.00 in) Note: In page setup tab, program should read "© 2015-2019 Seagll Software, Inc. Authors of the Bar Tender label software" Expected Results: Should be able to change lave size (i.e. 4x6" or 6x4") and be able to exit and return and it should stick. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: see above -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=136757 --- Comment #4 from Thomas Leigh --- “Do you have any UI scaling enabled? [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 135871] Highlighting no fill is not the same as no fill; there is still direct formatting present according to paragraph style
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=135871 --- Comment #24 from Telesto --- (In reply to Thomas Lendo from comment #22) > I want get back to the original idea: If you use a command (e.g. the > highlight color button in the toolbar) then the "no fill" option should > delete the whole formatting from the file. I surely would welcome this :-). However, no-fill makes in the perspective where the default paragraph including highlighting. Except no-fill does optically the same thing when used at DF highlighted text (with a paragraph style without highlighting set) And the same problem is also there with bold on/off (DF still present). So in think the original idea isn't working either :-( So maybe CTRL+M should trigger a dialog to 'remove' DF selectively? And a introduce a new shortcut for remove all? Or the dialog with a new short cut. Or any other solution workable :-) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 135871] Highlighting no fill is not the same as no fill; there is still direct formatting present according to paragraph style
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=135871 Thomas Lendo changed: What|Removed |Added Blocks|113731 |112185 CC||thomas.le...@gmail.com --- Comment #22 from Thomas Lendo --- So much text and so much complexity in this discussion. I assume a new feature like 'SimlifyXYZ' would it make more complicated for users. I want get back to the original idea: If you use a command (e.g. the highlight color button in the toolbar) then the "no fill" option should delete the whole formatting from the file. Now instead of a visible highlight color it gets a transparent/invisible highlight color. You can see that perfectly in the new styles inspector or you open the content.xml of the ODF and search for something like in the area. Resolution should be: Every command that adds formatting to a text should remove that formatting completely when a 'automatic' or 'no fill' or 'undo format' option was choosen by the user. Now the xml file is swamped with style attributes. The only workaround now is to use Ctrl+M. I doubt that nobody has reported something like this issue in the past. Searching to avoid duplicates should be the work for the reporter, not for QA. So I don't do it. But seems it should be possible to alternatively direct the file selection for the document compare to the user's profile 'HistoryInfo' holding a users 'Recent Documents' list, as accessed now for opening via the File menu, or via the StartCenter--may be able to reuse that. =ref-= looks like work on bug 95992 touched a lot of this to get the os/DE file dialogs labeled correctly for compare or merge documents.
