[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137550] New: FILEOPEN DOCX Floating table unnecessarily opens in frame

2020-10-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137550

Bug ID: 137550
Summary: FILEOPEN DOCX Floating table unnecessarily opens in
frame
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.0.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: filter:docx
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ba...@caesar.elte.hu
Blocks: 10

Created attachment 166454
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=166454=edit
Sample DOCX

The attached DOCX is similar to bug 137548, with the following differences:
- it's a floating table (has Text Wrapping set to Around),
- in table Positioning, 'Relative to' is set to: Page (instead of the default
Column, while 'Position' is keps the same, Center).

=> Table is crammed in a frame on a single page in Writer.

This looks like one of the cases where the usual method of adding the table to
a frame should be omitted.

Observed using LO 7.1.0.0.alpha0+ (fca525d570f4fada3db1a9bbee2e88a5a02839d9),
4.0.0.3 / Windows.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137549] New: Open file hidden

2020-10-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137549

Bug ID: 137549
   Summary: Open file hidden
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.6.2 release
  Hardware: PowerPC
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: istep...@vaxxine.com

Description:
I sometimes find that when I have created a LibreOffice file, I can see it in
the list of open files under "Window", but it can't be viewed. Sometimes I can
find it visually, but clicking on the middle of the window causes it to
disappear. Trying to open it again from the Mac finder doesn't help.

This is so frustrating that I replaced release 6.1.5.2 with a newer one
(6.4.6.2), but the problem is still occuring. Hardly an example of a stable
build.

Actual Results:
I can see it on open file in the list of open files under "Window", but it
can't be viewed.

Sometimes I can find it visually, but clicking on the middle of the file's
window causes it to disappear (not minimize).

Expected Results:
The open file still can not be found.

Reproducible: Sometimes

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Show the file.

Open the attached DOCX with a table in Writer.

=> The long cell that has "Test" in it is moved to the next page.

The issue seems to depend both on the Heading line in the cell and the length
of the cell. If the heading is removed or the table gets shorter, the table
remains in one piece.

Dear Thomas Mueller,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,

On my system I have never seen the "artifacts" or "garbled icons" as described
in bug #136036 and bug #136407 with any version of LO 7.x, neither with the
current version of the nVidia driver nor with the previous one. I cannot
reproduce this bug.
Perhaps it only happens on some of nVidia's chipsets, but not all?

Regarding the topic of this thread.
I must have been bit too bored this evening :-) so I tried out some more dev
builds and found that with 7.1.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) of 2020-10-06 and 2020-10-08
the graphics still freezes on minimize->maximize, but with the builds dated
2020-10-09 and 2020-10-10 I can't reproduce the problem anymore. So I guess one
of the modifications made in Build ID 75030b3a2d4336c494fbe799fb809a37ed7e582f
of 2020-10-09 must have the side effect of curing this problem, at least for
me.

That looks OK I suppose seem a little too reduced, and is the "B" for Bold a
few pixels too short?

Also, were you going to tweak the Update Style and New Style with the "A" there
to match the others?

The 'Preinstalled' themes include raster background gradients as PNG that will
not scale to fit 4K layouts. They are not a substitute for work needed to
support os/DE theme colors for Windows 10 UWP 'Dark Mode', see also bug 118320

Not clear it is worth correcting the 'Preinstalled theme' PNGs for HiDPI use
otherwise.

To reproduce:

 1. Open the attached document.
 2. Click 'edit' to enable editing.
 3. Click on the second chart (bar graph) in the first sheet ("current").
 4. Open the 'edit data ranges' dialog.
 5. Select the 'data series' tab.
 6. Select the 'border colour' data range for the first data series ('small').
 7. Delete the contents of the range textbox.
 8. Click 'ok'.
 9. Repeat steps 3-6 as necessary, to thus notice that the range has been
restored since you tried to delete it, as though the change was not saved.

Alternatively to steps 8-9 you can just select a different data series then go
back to 'small' to see the text deleted in step 7 has been restored.

Can you be a bit more explicit how to reproduce this?

I don't know much about the CMIS/Remote files functionality, just quickly
tried, but for me the dialogs are always visible.

This screencast shows how it behaves for me on Debian testing (file will
probably be deleted at some point in time in the future):
https://nextcloud.documentfoundation.org/s/zgQrpEDAEEGoHAF

Also, when choosing "File" -> "Open Remote...", then cancelling and doing the
same a few times, the dialog is well visible in my case.

Attached is a minimum working example to demonstrate the crash. This appears to
be caused by an interaction between focus traversal of input fields and table
cells.

To trigger the crash, it appears these conditions must exist:

1. focus is in an input field (e.g. added via CTRL-F2)
2. the focused input field is inside of a table cell
3. text is selected within the focused input field
4. the next input field that would receive focus is also in a table cell
5. the next input field has content before the input field in the table cell

For example, click in the first text field once, which should focus the first
text field with the text (all spaces) highlighted. Next press TAB to cycle
focus to the second text field to crash.

The crash has been confirmed on at least these libreoffice versions:

libreoffice-writer-5.3.6.1-24.el7.x86_64
libreoffice-writer-6.0.6.1-20.el8.x86_64
libreoffice-writer-6.4.6.2-3.fc32.x86_64

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137541] New: External links in Calc via INDIRECT() always require an update

2020-10-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137541

Bug ID: 137541
Summary: External links in Calc via INDIRECT() always require
an update
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.0.2.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Chart
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: torgerie...@gmx.de

Description:
Description:
As a regression to 6.2.x stable releases cells with function INDIRECT() and
manual activation of external content is set in the options an "Error:540" is
shown in the cell, instead of the last correct fetched value.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set option "Update external links on request" in Calc
2. Add the location "/tmp" as trusted location
3. Extract the attached archive to /tmp
4. Open file Test_02.ods in Calc
5. It shows you the "Error:450" in cells B3 and B4
6. The update of the external links is request by calc
7. Manual update the external links, now "Test" is shown in B3 and B4
8. Close and save the file
9. Reopen the file Test_02.ods, it says "Error:450" again

Actual Results:
Even after saving a calc file after updating the external links and correct
values are displayed, there is an "Error:540" when reoping the file.

Expected Results:
The spreadsheet document must remember the last value of a successful update of
an external link. This worked in 6.2.x

Reproducible: Always

Paste Bug Example Spreadsheet

This is an odd bug I found and I'm not sure how to describe is so please see
the attached spreadsheet. I have a sheet for work where I paste words in column
A and column B "double spaces" them. It has worked perfectly for years.
Since the upgrade to 7.0.2.2 not all the words I paste show up in column B
unless I manually update using F9. When there are 39 words or more pasted into
column A it works as expected. When there are 38 or less pasted into column A
only (1/2 +1) show up. As an example, If there are 10 words pasted into column
A 6 show up in column B ((10/2)+1).
Probably related to bugs #137060 & 137493

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137539] New: Problem in the SQL of LibreOffice Base

2020-10-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137539

Bug ID: 137539
Summary: Problem in the SQL of LibreOffice Base
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.4.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: acharyaashik1...@gmail.com

Description:
I have been using LibreOffice Base for around a month now. When I am working
with the Base using the SQL, sometimes I need to erase the previous codes just
for some space. After erasing all the text (code), if I press delete key just
once, LibreOffice crashes all of a sudden. In that SQL section, if we
continuously press the delete key to erase all text, LibreOffice crashes all of
a sudden. And to add to the plight, many times the data does not recover.

Actual Results:
Please go to the 'Tools' of the LibreOffice Base. Go to SQL and start writing
some code. Try to erase the text by pressing the delete key. You will have to
press continuously to delete all the text. If you keep on pressing just a
second after all the text has been deleted, LibreOffice base will close
unexpectedly.

Expected Results:
LibreOffice Base crashes (closes unexpectedly)

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
LibreOffice should not had crashes. If delete key would denote closing then
software should have asked whether or not I wanted to close. And asked whether
or not I wanted to save the document before closing.

As this has been the behavior for a long time.. and older dialog this did this
too, but somehow bit more 'expected'; even though it might be broken back then
too (kind of taste)

I'm willingly to accept they directional change when opting for a different
animation.
