I have set this one to BASIC, not BASE (database module).

I have tested it with older versions like LO 6.1.5.2. The behavior is the same:
There will be created a new macro in Module1.

If you want to create a new module do this the same way, as it could be done in
Calc: Click with right mouse button on "Module1" at the bottom of the window.
There you could create a new BASIC-Modul and a new BASIC-Dialog.

You could also go to Tools in the macro editor and press "Choose Module" (or
something else - haven't switched LO to English). There could be added a module
also.

Ok great. That means LibreOffice for Windows needs to be improved.

Please note that when we export to pdf, it prints correctly in pdf. But in
LibreOffice Writer the diacritics are chopped off. Please also see that such a
bug has been reported earlier and is unresolved.

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42000

I cannot confirm Debian right now, will need to find a computer to install
that.

Dear Yousuf Philips (jay) (retired),

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137996] Extrapolating trend line is not working

2020-11-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137996

Well it's not that extrapolate doesn't work - extrapolation works, but AFAIKS
there is no way to extend the chart to show values beyond the values of the
data, like you can do with XY chart. The chart also doesn't take into account
that it needs to extend the X-axis values beyond the data values automatically
(in any kind of chart types).

So the main bug is just to take account of the extrapolation values when
determining what the X-axis values of the chart should be shown.

The work-around for this is that that instead of line chart just use XY chart
where you define what X-axis values are shown.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 138385] When I edit the x-axis in a chart and save the file as .xlsx, the edit is lost.

2020-11-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138385

After I have saved and reloaded the file, I can fix the x-axis format by
expanding the width of the chart. So I think what is happening is this:

1) When I edit the x-axis major interval the first time, LO Calc is happy to
update the chart as directed; it doesn't think the dates are too close.
2) When I save it and reopen it, LO Calc decides that dates on the x-axis are
too close together to be displayed properly, so it reverts to the "automatic"
setting for the major interval. It seems to use different standards for how
close x-axis labels can be when the file is opened as opposed to when you
initially set up the x-axis labels.

Something else I should point out: When the x-axis is displaying incorrectly,
the major interval has been reset by LO Calc to "automatic". BUT if I expand
the chart so that the x-axis displays the way I want, then the major interval
setting magically goes back to what I set it as, which was 7 days. LO Calc
seems to have some hidden state that is very confusing.

I should point out that if I create a chart that is too small to accommodate
the x-axis labels at my desired frequency, it normally just uses some multiple
of what I have set as the major interval. And it doesn't change my
configuration setting.

Sharp Text (Selected) vs Blurry (Text)

The issue is now with BigSur, it was fixed before in Catalina with a patch.
I would say that is a new issue as with the same Libreoffice 6.4.7.2, before
the Update the fonts where all right, and after the MacOs update to BigSur, the
same version of Libreoffice 6.4.7.2 and Libreoffice 7.0.3.1 are Blurry.

screenshot of site log, showing webservice() accessing a URL three times.

webservice() appears to access the specified URL three times. Normally this
would not be an issue, but I am trying to get stock quotes from
alphavantage.co. This service has a limit a five accesses per minute per key. I
should be able to get 5 quotes in a minute, but I only get two.

I confirmed this by using a single call to webservice() in localc to access my
own website. Image of the site log is attached.

( 1) With SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen, open a .odb file; mine was a newly
created embedded Firebird database. Program presents main Base
 window.

( 2) In pane Database, click icon .

( 3) In pane Tasks, click "Create Table in Design View...". Program
 presents window "... Table Design".

( 4) Type "+F". Program opens File menu.

( 5) Type "". Program closes File menu.

( 6) Click in first cell of the data grid.

( 7) Type "thing int ". The caret is in first column
of second row of the data grid.

( 8) Type "+F". Program opens File menu.

( 9) Type "". Program closes File menu.

(10) Right-click on the row header to the left of the first row of the
data grid. Program presents pop-up menu.

(11) Type "". Program closes the pop-up menu.

(12) Type "+F".

Expected : Program opens File menu.

 Observed : No visible result.

(13) Type "+F". Program opens File menu.

(14) Type "". Program closes File menu.

It is possible to repeat steps (8) and (9) indefinitely. So far, this
is as expected.

It is possible to repeat steps (12) through (14) indefinitely.

Accelerator key "+E" and the Edit menu are similarly afflicted.
The other menus seem to open as expected.

These observations are on a local build of commit b80c2745
(2020-11-17), built and running on debian-buster.

Bug ID: 138380
Summary: Basic-IDE - Missing feature to export COLORIZED basic
code in a WRITER document + Workaround
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.7.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: BASIC
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: hanswernerher...@t-online.de

Description:
In regard to Basic-IDE I'm missing a feature to export COLORIZED basic code in
a WRITER document for furthermore usage.

Therefore I wrote a little basic macro to do this job. The macro uses the basic
function "replaceAll" and some "regular expressions" to colorize basic code the
same way as to be seen when displayed by the Basic-IDE.

It's just a workaround. If this workaround could be useful for the LO community
feel free to use the macro as you like, e.g., as a workaround for the above
mentioned missing feature.

The better way surely would be to use the Basic-IDE display data while the
basic code is displayed by the Basic-IDE, but this would be a big job to be
realized and - in my opinion - not be done by LO developers next time because
of other more important work to be done.

Greetings
Hans-Werner

Yes, this one changes the anchor. Opinions please if we should make it more
obtrusive. An argument pro might be the blue color of the pilcrow character.
Another is the dark grey color of field highlighting.

This works as intended, has a documented configuration (uncheck menu
Table->Number Recognition; additional ways documented at [1]). This question is
not a bug report or feature request, but rather a user question (of "How to"
category) that should be asked on user support resources like
https://ask.libreoffice.org.

Here added #RGB (from mathml): https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/106286/3
With some basements over here: https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/106224/3
Corrected mathmlexport with w3 standards:
https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/106286/3

For 7.0 is is as you say.
For 7.1 you will have (already implemented):
Named: color colorname ; Blue is color blue
Decimal: color rgb r g b ; Blue is color 0 0 255
Hexadecimal: color hex colornum ; Blue is color hex FF or color hex FF
Hexadecimal: color # colornum ; Blue is color # FF or color # FF
Can also be written color#FF like a single keyword.
Can load from mathml: colorname; #RRGGBB; #RGB;
Can write on mathml: colorname; #RRGGBB;
It's because of this changes I thought the color picker could be interesting.

In a MathML context the "named colors" are technically keywords, used for
filter import, in the markup, and for exported MathML--so really not subject to
localization. Color values drawn from HTML4 era color names/values as listed
using "aqua" and "fuchsia".

IIRC the "cyan" and "magenta" were held over from old StarMath 5 color
keywords, but those colors are rendered to the "aqua" and "fuchsia" HTML4
values of MathML standard (our LIGHTCYAN and LIGHTMAGENTA definitions).

The GUI exposed color name keywords should follow the MathML standard, and if
we still need the CYAN & MAGENTA for backward StarMath compatibility--they can
stay, just not on the Elements -> Attributes panel. When Regina implemented the
16 HTML4 colors she'd kept CYAN & MAGENTA around--see bug 40436, and for AOO
i118191, but we should have quashed the cyan & magenta entries on the Elements
panel and moved to aqua & fuchsia then.

Other than these exact keyword<==>RRGGBB pairings, no other "named colors" make
sense--and potentially cause interoperability issues for our sm formulas (OLE
or as exported).

Meaning now with Dante's excellent work to expand the use of colors in the sm
Formula editor, a viable color picker is needed to specify the colors as MathML
#RRGGBB values. The SVX picker, opening any SOC palette for use, would support
color name localization in its labels. The subject of see also bug 138129

Report of LO versions tests (including 32bit with xml format error messages)

One medium size file of the project here was being edited with additional
histograms. The file is fully working on Calc 5.4.7.2. It was then tested with
many different versions of Calc/OS.(pdf attachment).

Only that file has produced error messages about content.xml format (using Calc
32 bit application). I hope to spend time generating a smaller file with a
method to break more charts . . . . this report is offered if xml format might
be the problem.

The pdf has links to the actual Cancer project file used, it's content.xml
(zipped, becomes 1.1 Gbyte when unzipped) for anyone to download (Google Drive
no password required). This pdf also replaces the first draft.

[If someone intends to reproduce the problem. The sheets have X,Y scatter
plots and histograms. Choose the data for each axis using the orange
background control panel at the upper left of the sheet and there's a remote
control to multiply or add factors to that data. On an i7 processor at 4.2 GHZ,
Calc needs five or six seconds to display a change.

A quicker check for frozen graphics is to click "Nation labels" to OFF(0) or
back ON(1) again. If the cell value changes immediately, the redraw will not
be done. Patience. Even on an i7 processor at 4.2 GHZ, Calc needs five or six
seconds to display a successful redraw. Criteria for the Bug: PLOTFILTER the
graph is usually frozen when the file is opened. Same thing PLOTXY1 and XY2.
On PLOTforSCAN sheet, the x,y plotter on the left is working, yet the two
scatter diagrams on the right are the ones that freeze].

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 138378] New: Table Entry Automatically Converted from Text to Date

2020-11-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138378

Bug ID: 138378
Summary: Table Entry Automatically Converted from Text to Date
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.0.3.1 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: larrywbrad...@gmail.com

Description:
Typing a month and year (e.g., December 1981) into a table cell automatically
converts the cell entry to a date format (12/01/81). This is the most annoying
and dumbest "feature" I have encountered in years. Further, there is no readily
evident way of stopping the conversion and preserving the text format so that
it will not change automatically to a date format. PLEASE REMOVE THIS
"FEATURE"!

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Type "December 1981" into table cell, then tab to or click in next cell.

Actual Results:
Automatically converts text to date style: 12/01/81.

Expected Results:
It should not automatically change my style based on some senseless
anticipation of what "I really intended to do."

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
[Information automatically included from LibreOffice]
Locale: en-US
Module: TextDocument
[Information guessed from browser]
OS: Linux (All)
OS is 64bit: yes
