So bug 139018 might not be a bug. By restarting in safe mode, Skia is deactivated and the display works correctly. You can do this by hand and one by one. Nothing would hinder you. Though it would be faster and much easier if you could collect a group of changes into a style. - Set style for in-text footnote link I want to have all in-text foot/endnote links look the same to achieve a consistent look throughout the entire document without having to change every in-text foot/endnote myself. I do not fail to do so, but I have to do every single foot/endnote by hand. If you have a few dozen in-text foot/endnotes and want to change the style you have to spend some time to change their style. This idea exists as "Before" and "After" but only for out-of-text foot/endnotes at the very end. - Same foot-/endnote can be used multiple times I want to use the same out-of-text foot/endnote (eg. a certain book) multiple times without having the exact same foot/endnote several times in the list at the end (eg. endnote 1 would be the same as 3 and 5 even it's the same book). I fail because LO will create a new foot/endnote even when you copy the in-text foot/endnote link. An out-of-text foot/endnote at the end can only link to one in-text foot/endnote. (Unlike eg. Wikipedia does it) - Set anchorpoint for endnote I want to do place all my endnotes in a specific location like I can place an image anywhere I want (not so much the footnotes since they will be on the same page as the in-text note anyway). I want to be able to place the endnotes exactly where I want to have them in my document (eg. under a dedicated headline). I fail because the endnotes are always placed on the last new-page by default so I can not even group them under a headline. My current workaround is to group the entire document into a Section and place the endnotes at the very end of said section. - Preview for style buttons I want to know what certain options are supposed to change (eg. paragraph, page, text area, endnote area) without reading the full documentation to know which look I would change with the option. Or to see which option I would have to edit to get the result I aim for. Right now I fail because even the english documentation is not something that explains it well enough for me (could be improved). And wild changes in the options seems to not have any effect sometimes (I have no idea if the function is broken or if I try to change something that does not apply to my foot/endnotes). Setting all the text in the frame to Libertinus Serif cleared that (with a couple of undefined gylphs). And, is the Frame size different between Skia rendering and default GDI? It must be consistent with DESIGN even if implementation is buggy. Otherwise fixing implementation will be confusing and annoy users. Hmmm it was designed, wasn't it? Somebody wrote it down, right? At least in source code comments? If I would have access to such specs I might try to do put it in help. At least in Polish, because my English is... well... You read it right? I hope it's true otherwise I see a dark future for the LibreOffice. I find, here, that in Windows with Calc 7.1.3.2 the lines are correct with Tools>Options>OpenCL> deselect "Allow" (uncheck) Apply>Restart Now Open>Liggerv2.6. In other words charts work here with Windows OpenCL OFF. For QA. 1. It seems use of OpenCL(+Windows) is in error by introducing problem cells. If I uninstall Libreoffice (entirely) from Windows 10 Pro then install 7.1.3.2, then Help, Restart in Safe Mode, Reset to factory settings, Reset entire user profile, Apply Changes and Restart then OpenCL is enabled on this PC. 2. Open attachment 114246. Message appears "You are running...for first time" 3. roX0_9 is the open sheet. Go to invoer and delete H19:L19 (now empty). 4. Click back arrow Undo:delete. H19:L19 are now with values again. 5. On sheet roX0_9 last chart lines are in error. Cells DT52:DT153 are wrong. 6. Actual result; DT88 is showing a value of 59.441. 7. Expected result; DT88=DQ84 which is value = 0.1512. 8. Close file. Reopen file. Repeat steps 3 to 7; the error is the same. 9. However, Close File, Close Calc, Restart Calc, Open attachment. 10. Repeat steps 3 to 5. On sheet roX0_9 the DT column values are now correct. 11. On sheet invoer, the line for data range DT column is now wrong but it's DT column values (also on invoer) are correctly calculated and displayed. Observations. Use of CL with Windows on this PC is associated with cell values being wrong. Starting 7.1.3.2 twice then open the same file causes differently wrong than the first fresh install. Cell values become correct (although the file hasn't changed at all) with trend lines now in error (because the system has lost track of the full data range to be drawn). Data>Calculate>Recalculate does not update the DT52:DT153 values at step 5. Recalculate_Hard does cause the DT52:DT153 range to update. Option OpenCL OFF causes correct presentation of all charts and their data. On Ubuntu 20.04 (identical Calc Build ID) the trend lines function with the expected result. On Ubuntu, after deleting or changing first sheet values in H19:L19, click Undo: delete. Those trend lines are moved and restored and saved correctly. As far as I understand it is is a double cascade: change to anchor changes the possible set of "vertical" options. Since current option is not available, the other option is selected without a user action. This selected option changes the available set in the other set, again without a user action. This cascade may have, I think, up to five levels in any direction, so it will be hardly possible to try out all combinations by a user. I have to agree with You that applying any fix in code will be rather tricky. I will try now to take two steps: A. Figure out what was responsible for the fact that I missed those side effects as a user. B. Figure out what logic is behind the problem and propose some solutions. Ad A) I was aware, that changing anchor may change some choices I do have, so I was looking for them. But since I was looking for what is available, I did not try to click every possible combination. This is a first element - one can't see what is possible in place A without making a selection in places B and C. Next problem is: what places should I observe to notice those side effects? 1.The image on the right of anchor radios (I did attached a screenshot just in case) 2.Changes in any of eight "Position" settings. 3.Changes in any of four drop-down lists. Ad 1) I did notice that when my eyes do focus on radio buttons then the image presenting setting IS in my center of focus, so I can easily notice something moves there when I change "anchor". I missed however those changes when I was making selections to "Position" drop downs. Ad 2) Those eight "Position" settings are far enough from "anchor" and image so that they are out of sight and attention focus. They are just text so I missed they are changing. Ad 3) Change in possible choices on drop-down list is of course invisible. X-ray vision is necessary ;) So the first problem is: the arrangement of GUI is such, that some side effects are hard or impossible to notice. The most helping element which is an image which shows what is going on is at the side, far off from the attention center. To make it even harder it is logically grouped with "Anchor" and "Size", being in one row, but not in fact with "Position" which is below. This is _why_ I didn't notice. --- Ad B) The big question is: what logic is behind it? I think the main reason is an _asymmetry_ of a data structure (choices available in step 2 do depend on choice made in step 1) related to anchoring and designed _symmetry_ of user interface (all choices available at every step, selections are independent). Asymmetric is a tree like selection, symmetric is a table like. In table every combination You can select in any column forms a valid selection, in tree You have to follow the path. This is hardly possible to present an asymmetric choice in a symmetric GUI without a nasty set of side effects. This is exactly what is observed. In symmetric GUI user may make choices in any order and, as You noticed, some selections can't be moved from one branch of selection tree to an another one. I think this is a key point: I did switched the "anchor" and some selection become "impossible" in this context. Since it was impossible to keep it, program did some "best choice" behind my back. This triggered a cascade. I missed that and got confused. Now imagine how would this GUI behave if I would start making selection from the bottom right corner of this dialog and going up? Nothing prevents me from doing it in that way, but a final effect is, if You try it, almost unpredictable. --- There are two possible paths of solving it, I think: 1.Make side effect clearly visible. 2.Make "impossible" to become "possible". Ad 1) The center of "Anchor" operation is that image on right. It could be put in center of attention and updated to more precisely present the effect (mirror is missing now for an example). The options should be located around it, horizontal at the bottom, vertical on right, anchors on the left. Drop down lists should be changed to radio-buttons blocks with grayed out disabled options so that changes to available choices would be clearly visible. Tooltips should be added to every element. Side effect may be left as they are now, they should be much easier to notice. I see there's a macro in the file and I don't know enough about how the file works to comment further. So I'll investigate trend line behaviour with other files. Summary: with attachment 114246 deleting values; the trend lines do not follow. Changing a value; the trend lines do follow and Undo functions also. In all tests the x,y scatter plots remove and move (but I think only VLB can confirm it's precisely as expected).
