[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 142681] New: UI: transparency slider active with fill set tot none

2021-06-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142681

Bug ID: 142681
Summary: UI: transparency slider active with fill set tot none
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.4.7.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: tele...@surfxs.nl

Description:
UI: transparency slider active with fill set tot none

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the attached file
2. Double click the chart -> Notice the white background (not totally WYSIWYG).
Personally kind of confusing..
3. Drag the 'Transparency slider'. You can go from 0-100 without change
(obviously)

Actual Results:
Transparency slider doesn't work

Expected Results:
Option A: show transparency (because of no fill)
Option B: disable the transparency slider if the current behaviour deemed to be
correct

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Dear Bastián Díaz,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 104111] FILEOPEN RTF: Three red dots appear if a textbox is placed in a drawing canvas

2021-06-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104111

Dear Telesto,

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 142561] Editing: Enable unformated text copy of Calc cells containing line breaks

2021-06-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142561

Calc to Calc works as expected
1) Select Cells containing a LF character
2) Copy
3) Mouse right click -> Paste Special -> Unformatted Text
4) Line feed shown preserved in the "Text Import" Dialogue box

However it fails if paste text only to another application such as LibreOffice
Writer, or Windows WordPad
1) In Calc select cells containing a LF character
2) Copy
3) In LO Writer or Windows WordPad Menu bar Paste -> Paste Special ->
unformatted text or in LO Writer Right click Paste Special -> Unformatted text
or Menu Paste special unformatted text
4) Line feed is replaced by a space character

Similarly fails if paste into a text only application such as Windows NotePad
1) In Calc select cells containing a LF character
2) Copy
3) In NotePad Paste
4) Line feed is replaced by a space character

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 113219] contents of the context menu after selecting a word with a mouse differs depending on the direction in which the selection was made

2021-06-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=113219

I think I can reproduce this or something similar, possibly related to comment
6 (on ~head as of about a week old source) - I think there's an asymmetry about
partially selected characters. (I'm on Fedora 34, on xfce)

a) Select a largeish font size (I'm using 32pt)
b) type 'Hello world this is a test' (you don't want to trigger spelling stuff)
c) Click in the left half of the 'w' and drag to the right, releasing while the
pointer is still in the left half of the 'd' - at this point 'worl' is
highlighted.
d) Right click (without moving) - the selection is cleared, copy/cut are not
shown in the menu

e) Ensure there is no selection
f) click slightly to the right of the 'd' and drag to the left, releasing while
the point is still in the right half of the 'w' - at this point 'orld' is
highlighted.
g) Right click (without moving) - the selection is kept, copy/cut are shown in
the menu

So in both of these cases the right-click is performed slightly outside of the
selection - just after overshooting a little;
but overshooting by under a half character to the right keeps the selection,
but overshooting by under a half character to the *left* clears it

I'm not 100% sure if this is what the reporter is seeing, but I think it is

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116170] FILESAVE OOXML Content_Type structure changes upon roundtrip

2021-06-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116170

The sample is PPTX, which can be unzipped, and the [Content_Types].xml in the
root of that zip (also attached as attachment 140320) is the original.

Then you take the PPTX, open and save it in LibreOffice , unip the result, and
take the [Content_Types].xml, and compare to the original, in particular the
points mentioned in the description.

Browsers can display XMLs nicely, but one can also use an editor that can
display XML files formatted, or the xmllint command line tool.

As far as I can see, the situation with the XML is pretty much the same in LO
Version: 7.2.0.0.alpha1+ (3b57ebb445df8a2bc3d916ea79f8af45e20e4e62) / Windows,

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 142679] New: When entering data, can the cell background be transparent so you can see the image underneath?

2021-06-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142679

Bug ID: 142679
Summary: When entering data, can the cell background be
transparent so you can see the image underneath?
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.7.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: mapur...@hotmail.com

Description:
I can change the cell background that appears when I'm entering data by
setting:

Tools - LibreOffice - Application Colors - Document Background - Green

We don't want the cell color to be green or any other solid color, we want to
see the image under the cell while we type. For this example, I set the
Document Background to Green. In the case shown, we can't tell what the value
on the image is until we finish entering the data. If we make a mistake, we
have to go back and correct the value. If we could see the image as we type, we
would be less likely to make an error.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have a background image of tabular data
2. Start entering the data in a cell.

Actual Results:
The cell turns a solid color, obscuring the image underneath

Expected Results:
Requested results: the image remains visible in the cell as you type

Reproducible: Always

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 142677] New: Image size different from size shown in image properties upon DOCX and ODT Import

2021-06-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142677

Bug ID: 142677
Summary: Image size different from size shown in image
properties upon DOCX and ODT Import
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.1.3.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: vorxb...@gmail.com

Description:
I have imported a document (exported by Google docs, applies both to the .docx
and .odt formats) that contains (several) full-page images (see attachments).
The images have a size of 1350x1920p (WxH) and are placed on A4 size pages,
scaled to fit the entire 21.0cm width, but are slightly taller than the full
page height, thus a bit is cut off at the bottom. This is all as intended.

Upon opening the document in Writer, these images now have a noticeable gap on
the right edge, and are also no longer cut off at the bottom. Writer has
apparently fitted the image to match the page height as its first priority.
Notably, this gap on the right side does not appear on images that were
likewise scaled to be the full width, but were less than the full page in
height.

A second issue is that when opening the image properties, it still displays the
image width to be 21.0cm, despite actually being closer to 20.9cm. Saving and
reopening the document does not fix the issue. Changing the size, and then
changing it back does fix the issue, however, but must be repeated for every
image.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create an image of size 1350x1920p (or taller)
2. In a google doc, Insert the image so that it breaks text and has a fixed
position on the page, scaled to fit the full width (21.0cm) and slightly more
than the total height.
3. Export the doc as .docx OR .odt
4. Open in Writer

Actual Results:
The image now has a noticeable gap on the right side and no longer sticks over
the bottom of the page, apparently scaled to fit the max page height.
In image properties, the image width is still reported to be 21.0cm, the full
width.

Expected Results:
In google docs and Word, the image continues to take up the full width and
sticks over the bottom edge of the page by a few millimeters, just like it was
initially set up.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
Upon inspecting the unzipped .docx files, these were the only (notable)
differences in the document.xml among the different versions:

As originally exported:

Saved by Writer before fixing: (displayed as 21.0cm)

Saved by Writer after fixing the issue: (also displayed as 21.0cm)

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 142676] New: Crash on freezing

2021-06-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142676

Bug ID: 142676
   Summary: Crash on freezing
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.0.4.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: hudson...@gmail.com

There is a problem when doing a freezing operation into Calc.

To reproduce the error, it is necessary to follow the steps below:

(1) Select a set of rows (say, 3-6), clicking onto row headers;
(2) Go to View -> Freeze Rows and Columns;
(3) Try to expand the frozen rows stretching the rows on rows headers
just below the freezing section some times.

Following these steps, the Calc program crashes and, when opening it
again, the splash screen enters in a endless loop, being necessary
to kill the process.

LO 7 with some additions. There is a hint on "utl::OInputStreamWrapper" that
might confuse ld. Here is the bug report:

I don't succeed in reproducing this because I got no Mincho font and don't know
which fonts package to use.
In Debian searching Mincho, I got:
julien@debianamd:~/lo/libreoffice$ apt-cache search mincho
fonts-ipaexfont - fontes japonaises OpenType, toutes les fontes IPAex
fonts-ipafont - jeu de fontes japonaises OpenType, toutes des fontes IPA
fonts-takao - ensemble de fontes TrueType japonaises, fontes Takao
xfonts-kappa20 - Polices X11 20 points Kappa (ISO-8859-1..4/9/10/13..16,
japonais) avec polices grasses
fonts-dejima-mincho - antique-looking Japanese TrueType Mincho font
fonts-hanazono - Japanese TrueType mincho font by KAGE system and FontForge
fonts-horai-umefont - Japanese TrueType font, Ume-font
fonts-ipaexfont-mincho - Japanese OpenType font, IPAex Mincho Font
fonts-ipafont-mincho - Japanese OpenType font set, IPA Mincho and IPA P Mincho
Fonts
fonts-ipamj-mincho - Japanese OpenType font, IPAmj Mincho Font
fonts-misaki - Japanese Gothic and Mincho font from "Misaki" bitmap font
fonts-oradano-mincho-gsrr - Retro style (Meiji period) Japanese font
fonts-sawarabi-mincho - Japanese mincho font - Sawarabi Mincho font
fonts-takao-gothic - Japanese TrueType font set, Takao Gothic Fonts
fonts-takao-mincho - Japanese TrueType font set, Takao Mincho Fonts
fonts-umeplus-cl - Japanese TrueType font, based on Ume Gothic Classic and M+
fonts
latex-cjk-japanese-wadalab - type1 and tfm DNP Japanese fonts for latex-cjk
xfonts-ayu - Gothic 18/20 dot Japanese and ISO-8859-1 X11 bitmap fonts

Anyway, I compared the result of:
git grep -n CJK_PRESENTATION
and
git grep -n CJK_TEXT

I noticed this line:
sd/source/ui/presenter/PresenterTextView.cxx:236:
DefaultFontType::CJK_TEXT,   EE_CHAR_FONTINFO_CJK },
since it's "sd" part, just wonder if it shouldn't be CJK_PRESENTATION here.

(remark: I noticed the same with CTL_PRESENTATION and CTL_TEXT)

If I understood you correctly, then no, because:

1. Contextual Single is just one of several UI's (and not even the default one
or the most popular).
2. The bug manifests in Contextual Single UI as well (that might be a separate
bug actually; for example, why do I need to whole table toolbar to pop up
automatically when I already get some of it in the main single contextual
toolbar?)

Perhaps it wasn't obvious -- "Sheets" was intended to imply the file has
multiple sheets all set to different zoom levels.
My 5 sheets are zoomed 190, 310, 320, 280, 220 & 310

The latest update changed my Tools>Options>LibreOffice Calc>View> --Zoom
[Synchronise sheets] from disabled to enabled.

It conceivable that swapping from one release to another to compare the effect
is not causing the same disruption to user parameters as a physical version
update.

As I intimated, I suspect the release code occasionally contains something that
modifies the recipients' defaults to the coder's or tester's defaults. Other
"User Settings" to be affected are stored sort lists where they go on the
"missing list" and have to be recreated (now stored in a parametercontrol.ods
safely filed away on the user account).
I've even had the toolbar preferences reset to standard release format rather
than the user-defined preferences - but that's not quite such easy remediation.

But on applying the Contextual Single UI mode to Impress they *are not* shown

I'm able to see the hyphen in the unexpected place in attachment 172582, where
it looks like it inserted the hyphen but kept the word together. However, it
only appears if I am in Edit Mode. If I change to read-only by deselecting
Edit->Edit Mode, the hyphen disappears; if I change back to Edit Mode, the
hyphen reappears.

If I do the following:
1. Create a new Writer document
2. Set page size to A4
3. Paste in the text from Comment 0
4. Edit it to get the "documents" word near the end of the line
5. Run Tools->Language->Hyphenation...

It wraps the word "documents" across two lines with the hyphen between the u
and m as expected (see attachment).

Seven, could you please detail a step-by-step process that explains how we can
reproduce this? Starting with creating the document in MS Office, which font
you used, which format it is saved as, and what you expect the font field to
show when you open the document in LibreOffice.

When you said "When i save as in ODT it is font Tahoma (lose origin name
font)", do you mean from MS Office?

Is the file "Sample" saved from MS Office or LibreOffice?

At least I can confirm that Google Docs sees the font as Calibri.

Setting as NEEDINFO.

I really should have tested the most recent version earlier. It appears to be
fixed there :) (Fedora 34 - LibreOffice v7.1.3.2)

Sorry for the rather unnecessary bug, and thanks for your time looking at this

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 142671] New: Drag-and-drop window resizes the window to width=0

2021-06-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142671

Bug ID: 142671
Summary: Drag-and-drop window resizes the window to width=0
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: rajmo...@outlook.com

Created attachment 172641
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=172641=edit
Image of the window

Sometimes when I drag-and-drop the window from one monitor to another the
window is resized into a weird line, so I have to resize it manually to fix the
problem. I tested it in ubuntu and Pop Os. For more I have attached a photo of
how it looks when resized. I would recommend that no matter what you do the
window should not be able to resize to that size where width=0. At least the
window control buttons should be always visible. And for this particular use
case I would say that the overall resize operation is off topic, but to be fair
I have no idea how it works in the background. The only thing is that I have
two monitors with different screen sizes, and maybe that is the culprit of it.
I also have seen this happening to some other ppl in some youtube videos where
they talk about LibreOffice but unfortunately I could not find those at the
very moment.

There are still no APPLY buttons in the DRAW Graphic Styles dialogues. I am
surprised that this is still not available, given (a) the obvious utility of
being able to see changes to image text before shutting the dialogue and (b)
the fact that the same button is available in LO Writer.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 142661] Since version 7.1.x.x_x64 the style sheet “Preformatted Text” cannot really be hidden anymore.

2021-06-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon

@m.a.riosv
Your Quote: Hiding the style, remains hide for the file after save-close LO […]
So for me clearly there is not a bug.

This is wrong. This may be true for all style sheets, but not for the one named
in this bug report, namely the style “Preformatted Text”. In addition, this
behavior – namely that the style “Preformatted Tex”t cannot be hidden – only
occurs from version 7.1.xx onwards.

It remains the same: It “makes no sens”e to select “Hide” for the mentioned
style sheet if it then appears in the list anyway. And: It also “makes no
sense” if someone comments and has not really understood the problem at all.

@Uwe Auer
What do you mean? Anyway, I didn’t create a new template. The thing is: I used
LO Writer since version 4.x.x.x and know LO Writer quite passably. When I
recently switched from version 7.0.4.2_x64 to version 7.1.3.2_x64, the
“Preformatted Text” style appeared for the first time in all my carefully
created document templates. I wanted to get rid of this one, because it
interferes with my list. It can apparently be hidden, but selecting “Hide” does
not affect the list, and after closing and opening LO Writer, this style also
reappears in the sidebar.

I first posted the problem here in the German language forum:
https://www.libreoffice-forum.de/viewtopic.php?f=5=34266=95162f4c866a9a8116e9d7a2068f8e55

I think that there is a bug here.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 142670] New: Cyrillic characters are changed to questions marks after saving a spreadsheet document in CSV format in the Calc

2021-06-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142670

Bug ID: 142670
Summary: Cyrillic characters are changed to questions marks
after saving a spreadsheet document in CSV format in
the Calc
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.1.2.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: glue...@gmail.com

Description:
Problem persists in version 7.1.2.2 under Windows 10 x64 ENG, this bug has not
been fixed! I create a document in *.CSV file using words in Cyrillic russian
language, in ANSI and WIN-1251 encoding. I save it several times and everything
is fine with encoding, all words are readable when I open this CSV file in
LibreOffice few times. But by some coincidence, after saving this document
before rebooting the computer (after rebooting request), after rebooting I open
it and instead of all Cyrillic characters i see question marks -
All Cyrillic characters turn into question marks.

I lost all the russian text, I have to work in Notepad++ instead of Calc with
unpredictable behavior. I lose a lot of personal time to re-editing the
document.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a spreadsheet in Calc with encoding parameters: ANSI, Cyrillic
WIN-1251 and running on Windows 10 x64 Enterprise.
2. Enter text in Russian (in Cyrillic) into the table.
3. Save the document as a comma-separated plain CSV document.
3. Edit text, enter new lines in Russian, do not save document.
4. Restart Windows, when prompted to restart Calc will ask to save the
document. 5. Press Yes and Yes again to save it in normal CSV format.
6. Reboot your computer and reopen the same document.

Actual Results:
All Russian characters are replaced by question marks in the document after
opening.

Expected Results:
Show Cyrillic characters as they were saved in the document.

Reproducible: Sometimes

User Profile Reset: No

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
The bug does not always reproduce itself, if you just save this document and
open it without rebooting, nothing changes - the characters are fine.

Hiding the style, remains hide for the file after save-close LO-Open LO-Open
the file, but not for other files.

So for me clearly there is not a bug.

BTW 'made no sense', looks a very depreciating expression from your side, maybe
you are the 'sense' owner.
