[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 141769] Crash in: cppu::OInterfaceContainerHelper::disposeAndClear(com::sun::star::lang::EventObject const &)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141769 --- Comment #37 from Laurence 'GreenReaper' Parry --- As might be hinted at from the commit, it's not necessary to close the window to trigger the crash; just disable the Formula Bar via: View/Formula Bar. The setting appears to be changed first, so subsequently restarting Calc and then closing the window will succeed without a crash, because there is no InputBox to dispose. This may be why it has not been universally reproducible. It appears non-determinsitic as to whether disabling the Formula Bar causes a crash if you click the expand-down button and/or type content into the InputBox first. I have been able to close the Formula Bar and app, but not repeatably. --- A bunch of code changed in that commit, so it's hard to pick out what caused it, but presumably those who know it might have a better idea. I notice in ScAccessibleEditLineTextData (AccessibleText.cxx) existing isDisposed asserts were removed. How certain is it that mpTxtWnd isn't disposed? (These were commented out as "TODO" at one point?) Class ScTextWnd has a WeakReference xAcc, but in ScTextWnd::CreateAccessible it is set to a Reference instead. The same pattern is used for ScEditWindow::CreateAccessible, but it looks to have been a bigger change for ScTextWnd, which has also modified disposal, eliminating steps and dispose() itself (called by ~ScAcessibleEditObject?) in favour of a destructor. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106846 V Stuart Foote changed: What|Removed |Added Severity|normal |enhancement --- Comment #20 from V Stuart Foote --- How is this a bug? The view port shift is annoying--but the docked TBs opening contextually is exactly as the UI is implemented. You could set them docked and always showing--but you'd loose a lot of screen space. You could set them floating, but they'll pop-open over content you probably want to see. You can use the Sidebar UI which is contextual. You can use the Contextual Single UI whcih limits the context portion to a single fixed location. And I'll say now--those aren't "workarounds" they are what is implemented. What you can not do is disable the context sensitivity of the controls--that is the enhancement and even then it won't eliminate the viewport shift of exposing a docked TB. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Seeing how the discussion > here has veered elsewhere, would you be ok with me opening a different issue > focusing _only_ the bugginess of the current situation, as a non-dupe? No, how would that be different than bug 106946, or earlier bug 36976 and dupes. They are *all* about eliminating the viewport shift the contextual TBs cause when opening in docked position. That is *NOT* a bug. That is a facet of implementation, and changing it to do something different is an enhancement. The context sensitive behavior of Toolbars (or the Sidebar Deck, or the NB Toolbar) is hard coded deep in the source. Only how that signal is handled is controlled by the UI mode. Gaining control over that--via alternate UIs, or a control framework for context sensitive action for individual toolbars--requries the same dev work. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142689 Patrick McKinley changed: What|Removed |Added Status|RESOLVED|CLOSED Resolution|NOTABUG |INSUFFICIENTDATA --- Comment #4 from Patrick McKinley --- On Windows 10 I renamed %APPDATA%\Roaming\LibreOffice to another name. After restarting LO Calc and loading my test file it worked correctly. It also fixed an annoying display issue I had experienced where the selected cell rectangle overlapped the row boundary above and below whenever the row heights were non-default in size. So something in the user profile was causing several problems. Since I did almost no customizations or changes to the profile before the problem occurred this is surprising. And I disagree with your statement that this is not a bug. Whenever a program repeatedly crashes there is a bug somewhere. Perhaps the issue lies in the user profile configuration data, but the program still crashes and from a user point of view is not robust. Maybe some kind of error checking on the user profile data, or a profile cleaner, or something, is needed to prevent this kind of experience. I was almost ready to walk away from LO due to these problems I experienced, and even today I don't believe it was anything "weird" that I may have done to create the issue on my part. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 142704] New: what is %PRODUCTNAME?
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142704 Bug ID: 142704 Summary: what is %PRODUCTNAME? Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.1.3.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: j22...@gmail.com Description: When using Track Changes in Writer, I want to have my own color. This means, when I add text I need it to show in a given color. BUT, when another reviewers makes changes, I want it to be a different color. There is a set of options for this in Options->LibreOffice Writer->Changes When I hover the cursor over the options (see image below) I see the message "...When you choose the condition "By author" in the list, the color is automatically determined by %PRODUCTNAME, then modified to match to the author of each change" 1) So I want to explore this a bit more, what is (and where can I read about) the paramter called '%PRODUCTNAME'? 2) is there a way to set eg RED for myself and "automatic" for the rest of the reviewers? Thanks for this amazing software! https://i.ibb.co/Cb9W1xM/2021-06-07-13-10.png Steps to Reproduce: 1. open a writer document with any text 2. activate the track changes option 3. make a change in the document (eg insert any word) 4. you'll see with a given (automatic color) 5. but that color in particular is not convenient (for whatever reason -in my case it is very close my document background color) so you need to have another color assigned to you, while keeping the "different authors different color" idea Actual Results: You can only choose between color "by author" (ie a color for each user who makes changes in the document) or one color for (all) any author (ie if you choose RED then changes by ANY user will always have the same chosen color, eg. RED) Expected Results: I would like to chose a color for my current user (myself) but still have the changes made by other in different colors (one color per user). So the idea would be "one color per user, but please let me chose my user's color". [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137760] Need option not to have toolbars auto-appear when clicking objects

It is and it is functional now, but does need additional dev attention, e.g. bug 142653. > But that > would mean completely disabling context-sensitivity of toolbars in the > default UI mode and perhaps others. Not at all, each is a specific UI selection that manages the contextual actions as designed/implemented. When you select Contextual Single, the UI is a Single toolbar that is recomposed depending on the object with actionable focus--it is contextual. The other UI modes would be unaffected. While in the 'Standard' UI traditional menu/TB/dialog UI the context sensitive TB will still pop-up either docked or floating as you've configured each. > Is that something you want? MUFFIN assemblages (menu/XML TB/XML & GTK UI Sidebar/GTK UI NB) give a mix of UI behaviors. Each treats the context sensitivity a bit differently. No it is not. Reviewing the minidump crash reports [1] the details tabs show it is Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 including the latest 10.0.19043 build, while the meta tabs show it to affect both AMD & Intel CPU with a mix of AMD-Intel-nVidia GPUs--so unlikely anything to do with Windows desktop environment settings.
