[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105822] Magnetic disk rendering broken with transparency
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105822 --- Comment #6 from QA Administrators --- Dear Nil, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 139796] Make Insert Special Character a Modeless Window
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139796 --- Comment #16 from Dave --- >From the information in the article previously linked: https://www.nngroup.com/articles/modal-nonmodal-dialog/, I would say the balance tips to non-modal. Listed disadvantages of modal dialogs that directly apply to my experience. * They interrupt the user’s workflow. * They cause users to forget what they were doing. (Due to task switching.) * They block the content in the background. The article goes on to say that modal dialogs are appropriate "for important warnings, as a way to prevent or correct critical errors." I can see a Save or Discard Changes dialog being modal. Insert Special Character? Not so much, for the disadvantages listed above. There's plenty of screen real estate on a modern 16:9 display to have a document and a dialog side by side. I'm not claiming this is a high-priority enhancement, it just seems like it would offer consistency for the end user and that there is not much programming effort involved to make it happen. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 143120] New: After deleting a row in a Calc project, crash occurs when I attempt to FILESAVE the changes.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143120 Bug ID: 143120 Summary: After deleting a row in a Calc project, crash occurs when I attempt to FILESAVE the changes. Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.1.4.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: h6...@comcast.net Description: I have a Calc sheet containing cells with text and cells with images set to conform to the cell size to which the image is anchored. When I first delete the contents of the image cell, then delete the row containing the image, all operations complete without error. Then when I attempt to save the project after the deletions, the crash occurs. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Delete an anchored image in a cell. 2.Select the row containing the (now) deleted image. 3.Delete the selected row. 4.Save (or Save As) the sheet after the deletions have been made. 5.Crash occurs and Calc closes. Actual Results: When the recovery process finishes, the loaded sheet displays the entire project including the (failed attempt) deleted row with the deleted image. Expected Results: After the recovery operation (which runs when I attempt to reload the project) I would expect the project to be displayed without the row I attempted to delete. Neither the crash nor the recovery should be necessary. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: I delete the image from its cell BEFORE deleting the row. Otherwise the row is deleted but the anchored image (which should have been deleted along with the other cells in the row)remains in place. Then when the rows below move up, the image no longer coincides with the text information contained within the other cells in the row. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 142842] Crash in: dbulo.dll
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142842 --- Comment #1 from Paul Lepkowski --- I was advised to disable Skia rendering since display artifacts were observed by others following the same tutorial. I disabled Skia and the repeated crash after setting the content type to SQL and clicking on the "..." icon persisted. I was then advised to reset my user profile and to install a newer version, perhaps 7.1.4. (I had not modified my user profile since I had re-installed version 7.0.6.) I reset the user profile anyway. I did not install a version newer than 7.0.6. Now when I change the content type to SQL and click on the "..." icon it properly displays the available tables and permits me to select the CustomerID and Name fields from the Client table returning SELECT "NAME", "CLIENTID" FROM "CLIENT" which is correct. So ... it doesn't crash and seems to be working but I haven't run the code yet, and I don't really know what I did to fix it. I guess it was something in the user profile. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=113124 Kevin Suo changed: What|Removed |Added Summary|Writer's PDF importer |Writer's PDF importer |doesnt import font name |doesnt import correct font ||name --- Comment #10 from Kevin Suo --- OK, I see, this is exactly the same issue as reported in bug 143095. The test document in this bug uses "Traditional Arabic", "Frank Ruehl CLM" and "Simplified Arabic" fonts. All these fonts are of the names without spaces in the PDF file (i.e., TraditionalArabic, FrankRuehlCLM-Medium and SimplifiedArabic, which can be observed from a pdf viewer). In Draw PDF import and Writer PDF import, this font names are read from the PDF files. The read-in names are then have their suffixes removed, but still without spaces, and are then used directly to build-up an ODF xml stream and then used for rendering. Draw and Writer PDF import seems to use the same pre-process codes located in sdext/source/pdfimport, but they do have separate "treevisiting" codes: sdext/source/tree/drawtreevisiting.cxx and sdext/source/tree/writertreevisiting.cxx. However, the set if familyName is the same.
