[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 142935] Spinners don't spin in LibO 7.2 beta and RC 1, 2 with KF5 VCL only
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142935 --- Comment #4 from sergio.calleg...@gmail.com --- Still present in 7.2.0.3 and will then likely be in 7.2.0 final. Maybe related to the following output that you get on the terminal: QObject::setParent: Cannot set parent, new parent is in a different thread QObject::setParent: Cannot set parent, new parent is in a different thread QObject::startTimer: Timers cannot be started from another thread QObject::setParent: Cannot set parent, new parent is in a different thread QObject::killTimer: Timers cannot be stopped from another thread QObject::startTimer: Timers cannot be started from another thread QObject::installEventFilter(): Cannot filter events for objects in a different thread. The issue with this is that on certain actions you get the impression that some LibO task is frozen. For UI having visual elements indicating that processing is happening that to not work is unfortunately worse than not having them at all. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Create EnhancedCustomShape2d for the SdrObject. Use method EnhancedCustomShape2d::GetTextRect(). I guess, that the rectangle has the same scale as the polypolygon. It might need the same shift. The minus sign make easier > to understand why, if you multiply this zero value by 1, you get a non > zero value. > > Best regards. JBF A sign debugging tool would be a good undertaking, but to be useful and consistent, positive numbers displaying as 0 should also show their sign as well, i.e. display as +0,00. If I want a debugging tool in my spreadsheet, I prefer that this be a controllable option. Furthermore, do not confound the debugging tool with a display convention for signed numbers. I suggest appending the sign debugging indicator on the right side of 0, so 0- or 0+. If the sign debugging tool is off, just display 0 without a sign as the title suggests, as this might be a report published for public consumption. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

This feature is still not working in Linux. I have just been able to upgrade to 7.1.5.2, and there is still no way to access Special Characters in the Find & Replace dialog. The Special Characters dialog is accessible while the Find & Replace dialog is open, but any character selected will be inserted directly into the document rather than into a field in Find & Replace. Whether it the old way using a shortcut [Shift+Ctrl+s] or some other option within the Find & Replace dialog, this capability is very handy. The "Text Functions" help page (link below) is composed of multiple functions. Some of them have full descriptions in the help page [1] (some of them are short and some are long), whereas other functions have their own pages. [1] https://help.libreoffice.org/7.3/en-US/text/scalc/01/04060110.html?DbPAR=CALC#bm_id3145389 This causes some imbalance in the "Text Functions" help page and in my opinion it looks a bit messy. What I would like to propose is to create separate help pages for each function and keep the "Text Functions" help page with the names of functions followed by a short description, as it is currently done in some pages (e.g. the Tools page [2]) [2] https://help.libreoffice.org/7.3/en-US/text/swriter/main0106.html?=WRITER This way, future update to the help files of each function will be more organized IMO. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

Indeed the capitalization of the first character is activated only if the new line follows a period that marks the end of the previous paragraph.
