[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 81291] Opening the “manage names” dialog lets the content of the input line disappear
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81291 --- Comment #8 from QA Administrators --- Dear Albrecht Müller, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141586 J.R. MITCHELL changed: What|Removed |Added Keywords||accessibility --- Comment #3 from J.R. MITCHELL --- This problem of Libre Office Writer opening at the top of the document rather than the last cursor position when last save seems to reoccur regularly. I am using version 7.1.6.2 and it's doing it again. Before installing this version the older version 7.1.5.2 was reopening at last cursor position as expected. Now it seems all my Writer documents open at the top but my spreadsheets open at the last position. I have tried the supposed corrections (1) entering a first name in the box pulled up by ALT+F12 and in the User Data tab and (2) opening File>Properties>General and making sure the two boxes Apply user data and Save preview were both checked. Same infernal problem. Some are instructing to use the later version 7.2 which is supposedly for those wanting latest features but not fully verified. That does not sound like a real solution. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132864 --- Comment #9 from Dieter --- (In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #7) > whether NAB or INVALID, point is that I don't see need for the same setting > over different objects. Maybe I'm wrong and you get other opinions. Heiko, as far as I understand Telesto, that is not the main idea of this report. Since we haven't a guideline for anchoring (and a guideline could also define different solutions for different objects), it is very difficult to assess for users and also for people in QA, if a behaviour is expected or not and - if it isn't expected - what should be the desired result. Of course we can alway say "Let's ask Design-Team" but that produces a lot of work for Design-Team (and especially for you). So an overview about anchoring would reduce work and would make QA more efficient. So bug summary might be wrong and perhaps it's not a valid bug report, but I support that idea (Telesto, do I understand you correctly?) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

Changing the second argument to false causes tables that are > deleted to show their name greyed out in the Tables list. I've been using my own compiled version for about a week now. I've added 'return false;' to the beginning of 'case RES_AUTOFMT_DOCNODE:' case in sw/source/core/table/swtable.cxx. So far I have not seen any negative ramifications. If these statements need to be executed for some reason (although why they need executed for every keystroke I'd have to have explained), the simplest work-around (though not the best solution IMO) to mitigate the affects of the table tracking would be to add a context menu to disable the table tracking (while still listing the tables and other targets). Yes, it's always been slow, but before 7.0 table tracking wasn't always happening and so the affects weren't always noticed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

Hopefully not, otherwise apologies. Point is that not all ideas can be implemented due to effort-benefit balance, some ideas are very special and seen by many other as feature-creep, we have to take care of the document standard, have to consider usability and accessibility etc. Ideally you describe a scenario, a use case, what you try to achieve. That's way more easy to agree on than a particular solution. Not saying the idea in this ticket is bad. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

Sub Foo(Optional x As Double, Optional y As Double) MsgBox ismissing(x) & " " & ismissing(y) End Sub The parser initializes the variable x as double and sets it as optional. Sub Bar Foo(y:=10) End Sub Here it initializes the variable y to integer with a the value 10. However, it does not generate a StepEMPTY for StepPARAM since there is no COMMA token for the function Foo. Maybe there could be some logic scanning the parameter list for function Foo and the actual call of the function in [1]. Then, there could be an additional StepEMPTY for the parameter x in this case. Maybe there is another approach, but currently, I could not find any satisfying solution for me. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 144475] msiexec addlocal parameter and unit in CA instead of CM
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=144475 --- Comment #1 from Mike Kaganski --- I *suspect* that CM means "centimeters"; but what is CA? "Characters" looks plausible, given that installing ALL means that you install support for east-asian languages, which automatically enables Options->Writer->General->Enable Char Unit (the same e.g. happens in parallel installations [1], which also install all components). If my guess is correct, I don't think it's a bug; it works as designed. However, I myself always wondered why it gets auto-enabled not because of active locale, or at the very least used UI language, but because of installed component set. Maybe someone knows the reason?
