Bug 144350 is about making the message box ("You can't do this") actionable
(Open linked document) while this bug discusses the ability to open a linked
document from within the sections dialog.

There is a ToC that by default protects its content. 2. A field. The document has field protection enabled. So selecting the field and trying to overwrite will fail. 3. A table with protected cells. 4. A protected section. All these are in the master document itself, not in some linked document. Trying to modify those will give the same dialog. I think either you try again to retrieve a backtrace. a *date* as its argument, while Louie used calculation like '=ISLEAPYEAR(2021)'
to learn is 2021 was a leap year. The correct calculation would be e.g.
'=ISLEAPYEAR("2021-01-01")'.
