https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55846

Dear Al McAusland,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

> Hmm, confirm the issue. Format settings made in the +H 'Find &

The patch makes for only non formatted search from Find bar.
> But in addition to affecting the +F 'Find bar' it also now impacts the
> Navigator's new 'Repeat search' mode.
The patch makes 'Repeat search' follow the formatting of the previous search,
so done after a formatted search from the F dialog it will also do a
formatted search. When done after a search from the Find bar, made always a non
formatted search with this patch, it will also do a non formatted search.

M 4000 0 L 0 2000 4000 4000 2000 2000 Z S N M 4000 0 L 0 2000 4000 4000 F N

Let PowerPoint read the odp file and convert it to pptx. Because the path is
really simple, PowerPoint is able to do that. Such way you see in the pptx file
what LO needs to export.

The F and S commands are applied to the entire subpath. So the first subpath
M 4000 0 L 0 2000 4000 4000 2000 2000 Z S N
gets a fill but no stroke, and the second subpath
M 4000 0 L 0 2000 4000 4000 F N
gets a stroke but no fill.

It is no regression by the mentioned commit, but handling of ENDSUBPATH was
missing before.

The problem is deeper than "fill or not fill". The command
drawing::EnhancedCustomShapeSegmentCommand::ENDSUBPATH is not evaluated at all.
Thus only one element exists in . But there should be
several elements. For each part which ends with "N" in ODF, the export to OOXML
has to generate an own element.

Since this last update another app that creates and opens an RTF file has
become distorted with, what seems to be, additional spaces within various lines
of the text that creates misalignment with headings. Worked ok in previous
version.
Opens ok when I use Wordpad instead, so can't be an external systems issues.

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=147948

 Notes:
1. It's just some visual suggestions or improvements I wanted to implement in
LibreOffice.
2. The previous bars are not bad, what I present here is just one more option,
one more user freedom, so to speak, for him (the user) to decide how to
customize LibreOffice in addition to the previous menu bars.
3. When you hover the cursor over the minimal bar menu, the area where the
cursor is is blue, highlighting the clickable menu, something that already
happens in previous menu bars.
4. It is possible to reposition the minimal bar menu, considering that the menu
can be fixed or not. That is, I can position the menu left or right - ie
side(left), side(right) or I can position up or down. The default option is for
the menu to be fixed upwards as shown in the photo.
5. The option to remove or add an icon is something that comes with some
previous menu bars, here in the minimal bar we take advantage of this same
feature, so the user can choose which icons are in the minimal menu bar.
6. In the minimal menu bar it is possible to rearrange the context menu, that
menu that appears when you right-click in the document area.
7. It is possible to arrange the shortcut keys or events in the minimal menu
bar.

(subtitle: R = response)

This could be applied in which LibreOffice programs?
R- This could be applied in Writer, Calc, Impress, Draw, Math, Base.

Are you charging any cost, license for this idea, design?
R- No, it's free, open.

Is it your own?
R- Yes in theory, so there may be people who have already thought the same. In
fact, I did some research and some users have thought of something like this in
LibreOffice in the past, but I haven't found any ui - user interface material
that demonstrates this idea. So, part of this idea is mine and part of it is
the users, it's an initial and draft idea. However, I believe it is somehow
innovative, different and unique.

How did you create the user interface?
R- Figma, Kiss.

Hey guys,
Thank you very much for the comments, I will clarify all doubts now.

So this would be the minimal interface, in the minimal interface you would only
have the most common buttons, I was inspired by Google Docs and I wanted to
have something similar in LibreOffice, whoever came from Google Docs could
really like LibreOffice Writer with this user interface option . It is very
similar to existing user interfaces like Single Bar, Compact Bar, Compact
Grouped Bar, Contextual Bar. Well the difference would be these 3:

The minimal bar or minimal toolbar is a bar with the following characteristic:
it is a menu bar grouped in a compact, unique and contextual way. It seems to
be something strange, but my idea is to take these previous ideas, or rather
join the concepts of Single Bar, Compact Grouped Bar, Contextual Bar, Single
Contextual Bar in a new and unique concept. This would be similar to the bar
you see in Google Docs when you are editing a document.
The second feature that is very interesting is that it has a slide to the left
and to the right, this is necessary to display all the menu icons always on the
side. My idea here would be that the user would not need access to the above
menu, he would only access the icons to perform his work normally. I think this
would be a great alternative, given that some icons users are familiar with
such as the text formatting icon etc. In addition, it is noticed that the user
could focus only on the icons he needs to perform his work normally or better
to format his text in the best possible way. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm right
somehow this would be my preferred user interface because it's similar to
Google Docs which is something I usually use when I need to share a specific
document or when most people call me to edit something on the web.
I tried to focus on the KISS idea - “Keep It Simple, Stupid” i.e. “Keep
something easy, simple” in terms of design.
Another innovation, different from the previous bars is that here you could
remove the icons, customize the way you think it's interesting, of course this
would be an option to customize the minimum bar, by default this minimal bar
would be as shown in the photo. However, if the user wants to change, he would
have this option.

The problem is still present, the current selected option in either "Page
Margins" or "Orientation" is not marked with any color so it's impossible to
know which option is used, and in both comboboxes the first item is always
underlined which is weird. See attached video for more info.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 141026] Lock files and privacy (leaking user and computer name)

2022-03-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141026

Hi. I would like to work on this issue.

As of now I can see that STR_OPENLOCKED_MSG (in this file:
https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/uui/inc/strings.hrc?r=f9ab3136)
takes three arguments, of which ARG1 is the file, ARG2 is the username. I'm not
sure what ARG3 is. Can someone please clarify this? Then we can probably split
this into two strings in which ARG1 and ARG2 go into the "Show Details"
expander, and ARG3 remains visible in the dialogue by default.

Also, in the handleLockedDocumentRequest_ function in
/core/uui/source/iahndl-locking.cxx, can someone tell me exactly how the dialog
box is created and how the arguments are passed to STR_OPENLOCKED_MSG to create
the dialogue string? Seeing the function for the first time is a bit confusing.

Also, what should I learn to be able to add the "Show Details" expander?

Thanks for any help!

  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)

Hi,

There are documents on our intranet that contain hyperlinks in the format
https:// to other documents. In Libreoffice 7.3.1.3, these links do not
open if they lead to an ODT document. Links to DOC or PDF documents call the
default browser and load the document.

This behavior was the same for previous Libreoffice versions for ODT documents.

Thanks again. I should have looked more closely at the Status descriptions.

Here are two files: a spreadsheet exemplar of a data source (auto service
records)
The Base database file using the spreadsheet a source. It contains a simple
query, called by a report which fails. Attempting to open the report should
give the error splash.

NB: I updated the version info on the bug report to agree with the current
installed version after the comprehensive purge actions detailed above.

I had put it at NEEDINFO, you responded so an automatic mechanism had put it
back to UNCONFIRMED. This status is the right one since someone must confirm
this by reproducing it.

About the bug itself, would it be possible you attach a file so we can
reproduce this? (of course sanitize it if needed, see
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/Bugzilla/Sanitizing_Files_Before_Submission).
If not HSQLDB, we'd need the type of database and an SQL script to create the
tables and data to be able to reproduce this.
