(upright in > this case means the C looking like a U because the bitmap is like that). I > think I observed that in the past: images remaining upright even when > rotated. Can it be a limitation or bug in LO? I had not noticed that, but it explains, why in my test the 'C'-image rotation was missing. The image is not imported as image but as rectangle with the image as background fill. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 132893] FILEOPEN PPTX: Incorrect rotated text
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132893 --- Comment #14 from Alvaro Segura --- Saving the file again in PP and opening it then with LO 7.3.5, the text is still upside down (180-deg rot.). But it might be a different build and a different PP. Regarding the "C", I have observed that in LO Impress if I select that image (after ungrouping) and rotate it with the mouse, only its rectangular "frame" rotates, but the contained bitmap remains "upright". (upright in this case means the C looking like a U because the bitmap is like that). I think I observed that in the past: images remaining upright even when rotated. Can it be a limitation or bug in LO? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 145157] Soft Edges effect distorting entire image in Impress
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=145157 Mike Kaganski changed: What|Removed |Added Ever confirmed|0 |1 Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEW CC||armin.le.gr...@me.com, ||t...@libreoffice.org --- Comment #13 from Mike Kaganski --- I can see the problem with attachment 175798 on Windows in presentation mode, using Version: 7.4.0.1 (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 43e5fcfbbadd18fccee5a6f42ddd533e40151bcf CPU threads: 12; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19044; UI render: default; VCL: win Locale: en-US (ru_RU); UI: en-US Calc: CL (and also using Skia rendering on the same system). With Skia, the resulting view is blurred; with default render and disabled AA / HW acceleration, the view is pixelated. Indeed, as I suspected, we do have a code to down-sample bitmaps: VclMetafileProcessor2D::CreateBufferDevice [1] that checks that the image for effect processing has no greater than 500 000 pixels (which is around 707x707 pixel bitmap). But unexpectedly, this downsampling didn't trigger in this case! The bitmap size is calculated from the passed logical object range, which is 14730x15750 units. These units are converted to pixels using OutputDevice::LogicToPixel, and the result is 557x596 pixels. This value is independent on the screen resolution; it seems that VclMetafileProcessor2D uses the object's logical size (which is, for the image with effect, 14.73x15.75 cm = 14730x15750 mm/100 units that are used internally). It is converted using a default 96 PPI resolution, and then that image size is used for effects and rendered back to the metafile, which will be rendered to screen when this slide's turn arrives. Given that e.g. my screen is 1920x1080 pixels, and the image takes almost full height, the bitmap used for the rendering is about two times shorter than needed for a reasonable quality. The question is: how can I get the target resolution at which the metafile is going to be displayed. If I get that, then it could make sense to increase the maximum bitmap size here. OTOH, I couldn't get the problem in edit mode on Windows. This codepath doesn't use VclMetafileProcessor2D, so no downsampling takes place. Could it be that kf5 uses a different rendering codepath, or maybe there's some other way to enable metafile rendering in editing mode? Thorsten, Armin: sorry to bother you, but maybe you have some ideas how to handle this? https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=150089 Bug ID: 150089 Summary: MariaDB: Pasting table from internal HSQLDB to MariaDB finishes with wrong command "RESTART WITH". Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.2.0.4 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Base Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: rob...@familiegrosskopf.de Open a connection to MariaDB, Could be it is the same with MySQL. Error appears here with MariaDB and direct connection, also JDBC connection. Copy a table of an existing HSQLDB database, which contains a primary key as auto value. Switch to MariaDB. Paste this table to MariaDB. Could be you have to add the name of the database (database.table). Table will be created and pasting ends with an error: "… see near RESTART WITH …". RESTART WITH is an command, which works with both internal databases, but won't work with MariaDB: There it is special used with ALTER SEQUENCE. For auto-Increment see: https://mariadb.com/kb/en/auto_increment/ ALTER TABLE tablename AUTO_INCREMENT=8; will set the next value in MariaDB. But: This is needless. The data will be inserted right and the next value will be automatically the next free value. Tested this with LO 7.4.0.1 on OpenSUSE 15.3 64bit rpm Linux. This bug won't appear with LO 7.1.5.2 on the same machine. This bug appears also with LO 7.3.5.2, 7.2.5.1, 7.2.0.4 on the same machine. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
