[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 121740] PPT (1, 2 MB) with Equation 3.0 objects is slow to load (was better with OO)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121740 Lars Jødal changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |WORKSFORME --- Comment #48 from Lars Jødal --- Works fine for me, running Windows 10. Test times on the file from attachment 147067: 22 seconds with LO 3.6.7.2 18 seconds with LO 5.4.7.2 12 seconds with LO 7.3.7.2 8 seconds with LO 7.4.3.2 while for comparison PowerPoint 365 took 11 seconds to open the file. To make sure that it was not a question of caching, the file was in all cases opened twice, with the time from the second opening (where the system would have things in cache). Thus, the file now opens considerably faster than in earlier versions, and faster than in PowerPoint. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

Fine, we are now three people confirming that it works, and >200 charts is indeed a very high number. Should a new report one day pop up by somebody using that high number, perhaps this thread will be found, and Mike's report on the specific commit can be used. So I'm closing this now as fixed. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=129449 --- Comment #2 from QA Administrators --- Dear sdc.blanco, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 152697] Problems with old .rtf files
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=152697 Regina Henschel changed: What|Removed |Added CC||rb.hensc...@t-online.de --- Comment #4 from Regina Henschel --- The images are in pct-Format, don't know whether Mac or Windows variant. Look for a OpenOffice.org 2.1 portable. That version has a filter for those images. Save the file to hmtl in OpenOffice.org 2.1 portable. That converts the images to .gif format. Open the html-file in a current LO and switch from Web to Normal View in menu View. Use File > Export... > Text Writer/Web (*.odt) Now you have a version which is editable in LibreOffice and shows all images. If you have more such files containing pct-images, you should save the OpenOffice.org 2.1 portable near to those files. There might exist an external filter, that converts the images in the rtf-file directly to an image format, that is still supported in modern applications. For me this is a "Wont fix", because other applications have removed the pct-Filter too. I think, that no one is going to implement such filter inside current LibreOffice. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

Callegar, with respect - that's a completely different (though worthy) feature request. Sometimes you want to export a part of a larger page with more content than what's being exported - that's why we have "export selection". You personally made the feature request resize-to-content in bug 81118, which you probably should have mentioned here. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
