Dear 7qia0tp02,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 154235] New: Underline blends with bold text in Liberation

2023-03-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=154235

Bug ID: 154235
Summary: Underline blends with bold text in Liberation
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.5.0.0 alpha1+
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: libreoff...@tasossah.com

Description:
Text in Liberation (either Sans or Serif) that is simultaneously bold and
underlined results in the underline blending in with the actual text.

At least in Writer, at certain zoom levels the underline is spaced and doesn't
blend. At all other zoom levels, and in exported PDFs, the text blends in with
the underline. The issue is more apparent with Liberation Serif.

This does not occur with version 7.4.6.2.
Version 7.5.0.0 alpha0+ was not tested, as there is no readily available build
for it. All versions after that exhibit this behaviour.

The component "LibreOffice" was picked, as this issue happens in at least
Writer, Impress and Calc. Unsure if there is a better suited component for
this.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Write "Hello, World!".
2. Ensure the font is Liberation Serif.
3. Make the previously written text Bold.
4. Underline the previously written text.
5. Zoom in/out, or export as PDF.

Actual Results:
The underline blends with the text, making it look ugly and compromising its
readability.

Expected Results:
The underline should be spaced accordingly, or possibly not be bold.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
Version: 7.5.1.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community

However I am a little reluctant to get involved in this again, since I don't
know anything about pivot tables, and they obviously need a lot of work.

For the right-click menu, the code to look at is basesh.cxx FN_TOOL_ANCHOR_

For the dialog, the code to look at is grfsh.cxx execute where the problem
seems to be aMgr.SetAttrSet(*pSet) clearing the Hori and Vert formats.

The interesting code seems to be in docfly.cxx.

The "Number" dropdown box offers
"A, B, C" and "A.., AA.., AAA..."

They give the same result, if used as a list numbering scheme.
Are they supposed to be different?
If yes, then a bug (or the documentation has to be improved).
If no, then A..,AA., AAA. seems unnecessary/redundant and should be removed.

Basic issue in this ticket was the labelling in Caption Options dialog and
Autocaption dialog for adding Heading Numbers before the Caption Number.
Related is the Insert/Edit "number range" field type. The heading numbering
part of these dialogs have now had labels revised, tooltips added, extended
tips revised, and relevant help pages updated. The aim was only to make the
current dialog (and documentation) accurate, so closing this ticket as FIXED,
but ready to make improvements if noted.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 153919] Shift+resize aspect ratio not maintained for images

(In reply to Stéphane Guillou (stragu) from comment #8)

With respect - I believe you've misunderstood what's being asked for in this
bug.

I will address a couple of your comparisons though:

> - GIMP preserves the aspect ratio for _all_ handles by default, and uses
> Shift to make it unrestricted.

So, GIMP is entirely consistent. We are not consistent w.r.t. the default
resizing, but - let us at least be consistent w.r.t. shift-resize behavior.

> - Google Docs does the same as LO for images (but no Shift override).

So, Google Docs does by default what I suggest we also do by default:
Shift+resize maintains aspect ratio.

2023-03-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=154233

Bug ID: 154233
Summary: Hangs after changing the default text property for
multiple form elements at once
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.4.5.1 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Draw
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ch.kuhn@gmail.com

Description:
If I select several text fields in Draw, then change the default text and
immediately afterwards want to change the font, for example, Draw shows a white
dialog and hangs.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Draw
2. Create multiple "Textfeld" (textfield) elements from form "Extras" tab.
3. Select all textfields
4. Open "Steuerelement-Eigenschaften" (controlelement properties)
5. Write something into "Standardtext" (default text) (do not use multiline
edit)
6. While the text cursor is already in the default text, click the '...' on the
"Schrift" (font) property to change the font.

Actual Results:
Draw opens an empty dialog and hangs!

Expected Results:
Draw opens the font dialog and lets me continue my work.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Its the PortableApps version of LO. It was the first project in that
installation, so there was no need to reset UserProfile.

--- Comment #21 from Stéphane Guillou (stragu)

I have split again the issue with a formula being replaced by its static
result, as I think they need to be tracked separately and are of different
importance.

Formatting issue is still reproducible in:

Version: 7.5.1.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: fcbaee479e84c6cd81291587d2ee68cba099e129
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

One cell *has* to be the main one when merging, as some formatting can't be
mixed (for example, the cell background). However, text values can have a mix
of formatting, and that should not be lost in the process.

Bug ID: 154232
Summary: Using drag/drop to reorder a Heading in Navigator
window causes Writer to crash (EDIT)
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.5.1.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: bugzi...@rhynas.com

Since upgrading to LO 7.5.1.2, LO Writer crashes every time I attempt to
re-order a heading using drag/drop in the Headings Content Navigation View.
Upon LO restart/recovery, the re-ordering has actually been completed.

Same problem occurs in Safe-mode. Happens in any document, short or long.

Note that clicking the Move Chapter buttons reorders as expected without
problem.

I'm on Linux Mint 21.1 using the Ubuntu PPA and this problem wasn't present in
the 7.4 version.

As a double-check I tried the current AppImage versions in normal and
safe-mode, results are:
 - v7.4.6 Works correctly.
 - v7.5.1 Drag/drop fails as described.

The issue seems similar to Bug 132477 but that was a few years ago.

My LO Version Information is:
Version: 7.5.1.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 50(Build:2)
CPU threads: 2; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-GB (en_GB.UTF-8); UI: en-GB

I think this should be kept separate to the formatting issue.

The formula issue is a dataloss issue, and the user might not notice that the
formula was converted to a static value, invalidating calculations throughout
the sheet. More serious than the formatting problem.

(In reply to Miklos Vajna from comment #18)
After re-examining, only one the shorter table is anchored (inside a textbox).
The longer one is just a normal inline table with no wrapping.

The problem appears to be that LO doesn't consider tables when dealing with
image wrapping.

This minimal example (tableWrapping.odt) shows that natively LO doesn't
consider tables need to be impacted by floating stuff. When saved as DOCX, MS
Word doesn't "fit" the table "beside(under)" the image.

Thanks for this work, Franklin.
I just tested and I think it's pretty closed to be resolved, the HTML source is
a lot more readable now.
I am attaching an example file that I used, to list a couple of extra tags that
could be improved, if you feel like submitting follow-ups:

- Comments of the type are either kept inline
or breaking across multiple lines in a weird way
- Table markup could be broken down better, as it overflows heavily. But this
might also have to do with the filter creating unnecessary complicated table
markup, I'm not sure.
- Note also the closing tag directly followed by without
breaking.

What do you think?
