[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 154739] Spelling correction deletes word
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=154739 --- Comment #14 from Jasmin Lapalme --- We think that the problem is within LibreOffice. The sample code is pretty simple and involves no logic at all. We simply register a `com.sun.star.ui.XContextMenuInterceptor` and return CONTINUE_MODIFIED without any modification to the context menu. In our production extension, we actually modify the menu, with the same result on the 'Always correct as' of the autocorrect functionality. If the problem is indeed in LibreOffice, every extension that registers an interceptor has the potential to break the autocorrect. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

Ah, I realise you already gave me an answer in bug 129610 comment 15 ! MarjaE, there is the "Content Navigation View", which you can turn on in the Navigator. This will also allow multiselection of headings. So I think your usecase is covered here, with two options: either copying the collapsed heading, or copying a multiselection in Content Navigation View. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 155194] EDITING: Date/time is recognized as text on edit
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=155194 --- Comment #7 from Serg A --- (In reply to Eike Rathke from comment #4) > Please copy-paste the information from the Help -> About dialog. Here it is: --- Version: 7.4.6.2 / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 5b1f5509c2decdade7fda905e3e1429a67acd63d CPU threads: 6; OS: Linux 5.4; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded --- Yes, I use the setting "English" because I want the interface to be in the developer's language. However, I feel the date in the "day-month-year" way, not the "month-day-year" way. As a user, I want to enter the dates as "day-month-year" and to be able to edit it. I don't want to switch to German, because then simple things like "IF" will become "WENN" or even much worse. Other office suits (like Microsoft Excel) have no problems with it. Once again, the users expect from the software that if something is offered to edit, the software will understand the input correctly at least if no information was altered. Here it is not the case. When some settings in different independent places make this impossible, then the settings design may be improved. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

I tested both PDFs in Firefox, Okular and GNOME Document Viewer and could not see a difference in filling the field. However, using Chromium, I could see the difference: the post-processed PDF does not allow adding more characters than whatever fits in the space allocated. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 155218] Printing: selecting different page orientation does not relayout printed content
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=155218 --- Comment #7 from Mike Kaganski --- Also: (In reply to Stéphane Guillou (stragu) from comment #5) > Calc is a component where users can be surprised to learn that page style > exists and has to be tweaked to print as expected. This is *SO MUCH* distant from the reality! The page settings in Calc are VERY important, and applying them to ranges of sheets is very useful thing. Only the most basic usage can avoid that. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 155218] Printing: selecting different page orientation does not relayout printed content
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=155218 --- Comment #6 from Mike Kaganski --- (In reply to Stéphane Guillou (stragu) from comment #5) > How about an option in the print dialog, something like "Ignore Page Style's > paper format", which could be on by default? I do not see how stacking "ignore this", "ignore that" could be a good option whatsoever. IMO, the original expectation that the layout should change is wrong -> WF. Or add a button leading to page style dialog, with some note that "chosen page layout doesn't match the layout of the page style - do you want to fix that?" or the like. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 155218] Printing: selecting different page orientation does not relayout printed content
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=155218 Stéphane Guillou (stragu) changed: What|Removed |Added Keywords||needsUXEval Severity|normal |enhancement CC||libreoffice-ux-advise@lists ||.freedesktop.org, ||stephane.guillou@libreoffic ||e.org --- Comment #5 from Stéphane Guillou (stragu) --- Calc is a component where users can be surprised to learn that page style exists and has to be tweaked to print as expected. Writer, Draw and Impress clearly have page and slide settings that are directly visible on canvas, whereas Calc has no visual hint of it. So I can see how many might expect to see the print ranges' content automatically adapt to whatever paper size is chosen in the Print dialog, seeing a sheet as just a number of cells that can expand at will in both directions, virtually without limits. Backward compatibility + PDF export means we can't just do away with the Page Style dialog's settings that can also be found in the Print dialog, nor add a "[from printer settings]" option for Paper Format like there is for Paper Tray. How about an option in the print dialog, something like "Ignore Page Style's paper format", which could be on by default? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
