2023-05-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141183

No that looks to be a different issue.

This is a request for a new feature: a single user event to begin recording a
macro and a single user event to stop recording then a single user event to
replay the macro.

All this without any other user interaction. The macro is stored in temporary
space.

Nice to have is some feature to request saving the macro to the macro database
under a default name (eg. timestamp) or a name of the user's choice.

Dear Ofir,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

I was able to reproduce this bug first in version 6.4.7.2. When using a short
dash is counted as a word but when using a long dash (autocorrected) is not
counted as a word.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Type a dash and add space and type a word and press enter
2. Type a word add space and type a dash and type a word and add space

Actual Results:
The short dash in Step 1 is counted as a word and the long(autocorrected)dash
in Step 2 is not counted as a word.

Expected Results:
Both short dash and long dash should be counted or ignored depending on the
specifications. The user guide is ambiguous.

I don't see any reason to keep this bug report around. Stephan indicated that
it seems to be an illegal field sequence. We only support a small subset of
legitimate fields at this point, so supporting illegitimate fields is out of
the question.

I know this problem very well, but I don't see an existing bug report about it.

MS Word does not automatically update fields to point to their variable values
on file open. Instead, it just displays the last-saved-text. It is only when
the user selects the field and presses F9 that the contents of the field change
to match the variable's value.

In this document, when the field is updated, it displays MACRO CARRIER - which
is the File - Properties - Title of the document.

LO automatically displays the variable in the field, and updates as soon as the
variable changes (which seems very sensible...).

So for compatibility, LO needs to add a flag to variables to soft-lock the
imported contents until they get an user-initiated refresh.

There is a borderless autoshape box over that area that is set to "inline",

all in LO, so it probably isn't imported.

Summary: MCGR clumpsy export of linear gradient to SVG
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.6.0.0 alpha1+ Master
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: regression
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium

Created attachment 187486

Shape with linear gradient

Open attached document. Select the shape. File > Export. Select SVG. Mark
'Selection' and export.

Do this with a build before MCGR, e.g. from January, and do this with a current
master. Compare the resulting SVG markup.

LO from January exports the gradient nicely as

whereas current master produces a group of 90 -elements.

The gradients in SVG are able to render our linear, axial and radial gradients.
For these gradients the export should use the corresponding SVG-gradients.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 155478] New: Adding or editing animation scrolls up to top of animations list

2023-05-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=155478

Bug ID: 155478
Summary: Adding or editing animation scrolls up to top of
animations list
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.3.3.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: jeremysit...@gmail.com

Description:
Adding or editing an animation causes the animation list to scroll up to the
top, making it difficult to add and edit animations on a slide that has many -
I have to scroll down and find my place again each time.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make a slide with enough animations to require scrolling to view the bottom
ones
2. Add or edit (ie. move up/move down) an animation
3.

Actual Results:
After each action, the display scrolls up to the top of the animation list

Expected Results:
I believe it should not scroll up automatically after each action, as it makes
it much harder to edit animations that aren't at the top of the list.

Reproducible: Always

I think we should keep this open to restore that part of it. Especially since
there is a corresponding expert configuration. Don't you agree?

actually, it looks like the first empty paragraph itself is lost on import
(since LO splits the paragraph when inserting the break and the column break
ends up as a breakbefore on the second paragraph). On import, the first
paragraph has a column break specified - but of course you can't column break
before your first paragraph.

So, it works fine if there is at least one empty paragraph in the first column.
But yes, if you put a column break as the very first thing in the document, it
loses the column break on import. Export is OK - opens fine in MS Word.
