1. new file
2. enter cell B2
3. type Regular
4. set style to Bold
5. type Bold
6. copy B2 to C2
7. select both

Here are three steps, each with an attached JPG (step-1, step-2, step-3.jpg)
that show unequivocal corruption. Before doing these steps I deleted the user
