I just tested with a F27 Beta Live USB, the issue is not reproducable in that
setup with LO 5.4.

Sorry for the late reply. The issue is not reproduced, I was able to draw and
display the graph properly with the following environment including Wayland
running on Ubuntu:

Yes I think there's a chance of that being the issue, since it's graphics
related.
On Ubuntu 16.04 you should be able to start an experimental Wayland session
from the login menu.

I do know though, how to create charts, and I'm seeing that issue for over a
year now. On my setup it's 100 % reproducible.
