I would like to add that the Ubuntu mutter fix referenced here
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/+bug/1892440
has NOT fixed theLibre Office Print Dialogue box

Yeah a duplicate in terms of the effects, but not in terms of the environment.
I notice the duplicate bug was re-opened after a patch to add a scroll bar.
I am left to conclude that the print dialogue box needs patching so that it is
agnostic towards the rest of the tech environment it operates under. I
appreciate there may be some purists who say "only add a scroll bar when
necessary" so a scroll bar parch regardless would risk upsetting them. Maybe a
switch off option somewhere? that could be seen :)

Guess it's a duplicate of bug 127782. I made the dialog smaller so it fit on a
1366 × 768px screen. Not sure it's still working since the ticket was reopened
and a lot of patches have been made meanwhile. (If I'm wrong and the topic here
is different, please reopen)

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 127782 ***

@Heiko: Any idea? Without taking a deeper look, your commit mentioned in
comment 2 looked light it might have added a scrollbar already, is that in a
different place?

I thought it may be useful if I tested on an old 32-bit desktop running Linux
mint 19.3 Cinnamon which has LibreOffice Version: 6.0.7.3
Build ID: 1:6.0.7-0ubuntu0.18.04.10 installed.

Of course, it is not GNOME but I still use the Desktop Environment Universal
Access accessibility Large Print set to on and it works - I can see all of the
Print Dialogue very clearly and on every tab.

I have been experimenting a little.

I failed to mention that I utilize Ubuntu scaling factor and have it set to
1.25. due to my low vision.
It is this which I believe is the subject of
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/+bug/1892440

If I reduce the scaling factor to 1,0 it automatically switches off my Large
Text and when I use LibreOffice - all is fine in the Print dialogue area except
of course I have to strain my eyes to see.

If indeed, all this is related I still think having a forced scroll bar in the
LibreOffice dialogue box would overcome any dependency on the OS.

Thank you once more, much easier to follow.

Download and running from command line worked fine.
But the problem remains.
With GNOME Desktop Environment Universal Access accessibility Large Print set
to on I cannot see fully the print window especially the bottom 3 buttons.
There is no scroll bar to scroll down.

I closed LibreOffice, switched GNOME Desktop Environment Universal Access
accessibility Large Print to off. Relaunched LibreOffice once more from
terminal window and obviously everything is a little smaller but when I go to
print I can see the 3 buttons at the bottom.

I am left to conclude the bug is present in a minimum of 2 versions of
LibreOffice.

I know Ubuntu has a bug fix in the pipeline - see
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/+bug/1892440
And this bug may also effect other Linux Distros. It may just be a
co-incidence but I cannot help think it may be related. BTW, I have not done
any of the suggested workarounds in that bug report, preferring to wait for the
fix.

Thanks for testing. This "installing in parallel" was meant for testing whether
your issue is actually fixed in LibreOffice 7.0.

There is also an AppImage, which is probably much easier to use for quickly
testing, can you possibly try that approach?
AppImages are available at https://www.libreoffice.org/download/appimage/ -
please choose "Download Fresh" there to get LibreOffice 7.0 for testing, then
follow the steps in the "Running the AppImage from the Terminal" section to run
LibreOffice.

Please don't hesitate to ask if there are any questions.

Thank you for your assistance.
I have read through

now. Also your other links.

The instructions are beyond my capabilities and frankly sound much more riskier
than my workaround of toggling the GNOME Desktop Environment Universal Access
accessibility Large Print Large Print on and off.

There is the following commit in 7.0 which sounds like it might fix the issue:
https://git.libreoffice.org/core/+/26ada4335a5804735ae37cf9a89f8145e0931fd7%5E%21

Bug 127782 contains some more information

Can you please test whether it works as expected with LibreOffice 7.0?

For testing, you can also download a daily build from
https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/ (or just use a regular 7.0 from TDF
website) and install it in parallel to your Ubunt-provided packages as
described at https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_in_parallel/Linux .
