Hello fl, a new major major release of LibreOffice is available since this bug

I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to

"ch" notation for character as unit for CJK, not "CA"

Just FYI --

As a Chinese user who has no experience with this ADDLOCAL parameter of
msiexec, I'd like to add that while it's true "character" is added as unit when
East Asian language (CJK) support is installed, it has always been displayed as
"ch" in the UI for me, and I've never seen "CA" used for this.

I've attached a screenshot of the paragraph formatting dialog (menu Format >
Paragraph...) under zh-CN locale, en-US UI.

Thanks for the explanation.
I just don't understand because if i don't set ADDLOCAL=ALL it works.
But i was thinking when not set ADDLOCAL the default options is ALL, right ?

I *suspect* that CM means "centimeters"; but what is CA? "Characters" looks
plausible, given that installing ALL means that you install support for
east-asian languages, which automatically enables
Options->Writer->General->Enable Char Unit (the same e.g. happens in parallel
installations [1], which also install all components). If my guess is correct,
I don't think it's a bug; it works as designed. However, I myself always
wondered why it gets auto-enabled not because of active locale, or at the very
least used UI language, but because of installed component set.

Maybe someone knows the reason?
