Whether horizontally or vertically, the behavior is the same.

When merging, the cell address that is closer to "Home" (A1) is predominant.

Reproducible, the problem occurs by merging the cells vertically, not
horizontally.

The transmutation is not the result of drag-filling but simply the merging of
the two cells
