            Bug ID: 155942
           Summary: Calc feature request
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 7.4.7.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: LibreOffice
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: varala...@gmail.com

Description:
Calc does not support double-click dragging to select text a whole word at a
time. This is an important feature and I think every single Windows and Mac app
in the last 30 years, including Windows and Mac OSes, have supported it.

Writer supports it beautifully, so you guys already know it's important.
But....

Impress does not support it (I don't care, as I don't use presentation ware at
all);
Draw also does not;
Math doesn't, near as I can tell (never opened it until now);
Base is UNKNOWN; it needs Java to create a new database, and I'm not installing
that crap. The Base app is literally unusable for anything beyond basic tables
& queries even on a local machine. I spent years making my living building
.mdbs in MS Access, so I'm not exactly new to relational db concepts.

PLEASE add double-click drag to select text. I still find it hard to believe
that you don't.

Thanks.
