While i am working on the document the references to external documents are just right, but when i reopen it, the references are lost. Files saved as .ods retain the external link, files saved as .xls do not. Upon saving the file, I reopen it to see alterations made to the file path such as the use of lower case letters instead of (in my case) upper case letters in filenames.
