https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55855 --- Comment #13 from QA Administrators--- ** Please read this message in its entirety before responding ** To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present on a currently supported version of LibreOffice (5.1.5 or 5.2.1 https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the version of LibreOffice and your operating system, and any changes you see in the bug behavior If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a short comment that includes your version of LibreOffice and Operating System Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to "inherited from OOo"; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add "regression" to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55855 Norbert X nrb...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added CC||nrb...@gmail.com --- Comment #9 from Norbert X nrb...@gmail.com --- I can confirm this bug in 4.3.2. I'll copy my comment from https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81475#c23 here: I think that dynamic appearance/disappearance of toolbars is not a good idea. For me it is comfortable to place toolbars once and use them when I want to use them, not contextually (current object- or action- dependent). But now in 4.3.2 toolbars disappear even if they have Lock Toolbar Position option checked. Please enable static toolbar positions. Popping toolbars may cause attention switch and may lower document author's productivity. Otherwise you will create another stupid, ugly, non-usable Ribbon/MFI. I think that many LibreOffice users would be happy with MS Office 2003-like interface. Users do not need bells and whistles, they need comfortable and customizable interface. This interface should allow users to place and pin (lock) toolbars as they want and use keyboard shortcuts for more productivity (for example, the fastest way to add Cross-Reference is to press Alt-ie). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 55855] The position of Find toolbar should stay fixed
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55855 Simo Kaupinmäki isoku...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added CC||isoku...@gmail.com Summary|Find toolbar moves between |The position of Find |matches |toolbar should stay fixed --- Comment #8 from Simo Kaupinmäki isoku...@gmail.com --- Steps to reproduce: 1) Open (or create) a text document with both a normal paragraph and a list. 2) Open the Find toolbar (Ctrl+F) and use the Find Next/Previous button to find a word that appears both in the normal paragraph and in the list. When a word in the list is found, the Bullets and Numbering toolbar appears, pushing the Find toolbar upwards. When a word outside of the list is found, the Bullets and Numbering toolbar disappears and the Find toolbar is moved down again. Instead of keeping the focus on the text, you have to keep track of and repeatedly adjust to the changing position of the Find toolbar. As a simple fix you can manually change the position of the toolbars and, for example, anchor the problematically appearing and disappearing toolbar above the Find toolbar, but this should rather be the default and not something users have to figure out by themselves. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
