** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present on a currently supported version of
LibreOffice
(5.2.7 or 5.3.3 https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the version of
LibreOffice and
your operating system, and any changes you see in the bug behavior

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave
a short comment that includes your version of LibreOffice and Operating System

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3)

http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to "inherited from OOo";
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add "regression" to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

Sure, it's a problem with XFCE, see comment 3.

up Sifr icon for alt-tab, if the icon theme is selected.

Clarification: of the screenshot .zip I uploaded, all the others except Arch
were using Tango icon set in LO. The Arch user was using Sifr.

Just now the Aptosid user tested Sifr, but it didn't change the alt+tab icon.

One person stated their view that "the problem is within the application.
firefox treats this right and does a look up for the current icon theme to
determine the application icon, libreoffice doesn't".

Might this somehow be related to bug 65754 ?

Screenshot from Arch and LO 4.3.3.2 with Tango icons

Same setup as the previous, but with Tango icons. It clearly seems to be
picking up the alt-tab icon from the icon set.

The Arch Linux user updated to LO Fresh 4.3.3 and could still reproduce the
greyness with Faenza.
With Sifr, they got a grey icon as well. The original reporter was using Sifr
as can be seen from the screenshot.

I was encountering the same thing as shown in the Arch screenshot.

starting to remember from my research about the problem when I was encountering
it. I think alt-tab switcher was fetching the icon from the libreoffice theme
(i.e., icons used inside libreoffice) rather than the external system theme.
you'll notice that the Aptosid and Debian Jessie screenshots have a standard
(colour) theme in libreoffice, the and that the writer icon shown in the
alt-tab switcher is consistent with (for example) the new document icon in top
left. however, the Arch screenshot shows the black-and-white Faenza icon for
both the new document and the switcher.

in light of this, not sure if the problem is with libreoffice or xfce.

Screenshots from Debian and Arch

In this .zip file I have included three screenshots generously provided to me
by Xfce community members on the #xfce IRC channel.

The only one that shows a grey icon is Arch Linux with LO 4.2.7.2.
The others don't have the problem and they are from Aptosid and Debian Jessie,
LO 4.3.3 rc2.
All three use Xfce 4.10.1.
Arch and Aptosid use Greybird theme with Faenza.
It might be that the problem has gone away in 4.3.x.
I will try and get more information.
