But then rather with a total plan then with separate items. Hope you feel the same :) Yes a fully thought out plan would be the way to go, just like i did for the toolbar. :D Only touched on these now, as i did quite a bit of work on track change related stuff recently. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

In Format AutoCorrect AutoCorrect Options... you are also editing those elements. :) Ah that's weird - in that case you must have a special version :p Or your 'those elements' referred to the Autocorrect options rather then to my 'those elements' ..? To add confusion: Format AutoCorrect AutoCorrect Options... is a recent addition (5 years or so ;). Previously it only was at Tools AutoCorrect Options. Ugh ;) Enough ideas inspiration to rework all the menu's probably! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=85050 --- Comment #10 from Jay Philips philip...@hotmail.com --- (In reply to Cor Nouws from comment #9) Or your 'those elements' referred to the Autocorrect options rather then to my 'those elements' ..? Yes my 'those elements' referred to the elements in the Autocorrect options not the ones in Autotext. Was just pointing out that modifying settings/options can be placed in various menus. :D To add confusion: Format AutoCorrect AutoCorrect Options... is a recent addition (5 years or so ;). Previously it only was at Tools AutoCorrect Options. Yes i was thinking to suggest AutoCorrect be moved to Tools, primarily as it has alot of spell checking fixes in it and goes well with the spelling grammar and autospellcheck items. Ugh ;) Enough ideas inspiration to rework all the menu's probably! Yes i have plans to suggest a complete revamp of all the menus after i finish with the toolbars, so i look forward to those upcoming discussions. ;) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=85050 --- Comment #3 from Jay Philips philip...@hotmail.com --- (In reply to Cor Nouws from comment #2) Hi Jay, Hi Cor, And what about Edit Autotext (Writer) and Edit Header/footer text (Calc) Separate these too ? Edit Autotext (Writer) likely deserves to be under Tools as you are modifying its options/settings. Edit Header/footer text (Calc) likely deserves its own section, similar to how writer/impress/draw have sections that includes the entry 'Fields...', and could be accompanied by a new entry Edit Hyperlink. Maybe the intention is to have some groups with not too distant features, to give some better oversight? I dont see much similarities between these features that would suggest they should be grouped together, but my primarily intention is for the first three sections of the insert menu to be as closely similar as possible between all modules. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=85050 --- Comment #4 from Cor Nouws c...@nouenoff.nl --- (In reply to Jay Philips from comment #3) Edit Autotext (Writer) likely deserves to be under Tools as you are modifying its options/settings. Inserting Autotext is considered editing apparently. Here too, I'm not looking forward to re-educate people ;) Edit Header/footer text (Calc) likely deserves its own section, similar to how writer/impress/draw have sections that includes the entry 'Fields...', and could be accompanied by a new entry Edit Hyperlink. OK two in a group is fine. Too much one-item-groups are ugly I dont see much similarities between these features that would suggest they should be grouped together, Indeed. I see it as a group miscellaneous / slightly related. but my primarily intention is for the first three sections of the insert menu to be as closely similar as possible between all modules. ah well.. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Here too, I'm not looking forward to re-educate people ;) Well as Autotext is inserting text, maybe it can go under Insert. :D Edit Header/footer text (Calc) likely deserves its own section, similar to how writer/impress/draw have sections that includes the entry 'Fields...', and could be accompanied by a new entry Edit Hyperlink. OK two in a group is fine. Too much one-item-groups are ugly Yep it would be ugly just with one. I dont see much similarities between these features that would suggest they should be grouped together, Indeed. I see it as a group miscellaneous / slightly related. Well i think find and goto related items should be a group of there own, as they are in most software.
