Please check to see how Word 2013 does with exporting your sample to ODF
formatted .odt document--and open that .odt with LibreOffice. Any improvement?
Please attach that .odt.
LibreOffices filters parse the OOXML formula text into an OLE with LO Math
language strings:
"a|b"
"{n} rsub {acute {B}} =1"
The OOXML import filter conversion results in the same ODF OLE formulas back to
the 3.5 branch. OOXML formulas are not parsed for 3.4 or 3.3 builds so just the
text shows.
Changing the font to MS centric Cambria Math does not alter the outcome.
Interested to see how the MS Word 2013 OOXML export as ODF behaves.
