In the near future, these issues will undoubtedly affect Windows XP SP3 and
Vista in addition to the issues that already affect Windows 2000 and Windows XP
SP2..

There are numerous online and offline resources for learning Morse code. I

account this information

I can report that 5.0.2.2 version DOES work on XP SP3, everything starts up as
intended. 

This probably means that requirements page needs updating to clearly state
minimum is XP SP3, and installer needs change so it doesn't install on lesser
version then XP SP3... I could help with both of those changes if someone can
direct me to correct repository !? 

Also, do we need two new issues for incorrect system requirments on
(https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/system-requirements/) and for installer
to fail on lesser version then XP SP3?

Tested again with 5.0.2.2 on XP SP2 and error is still there - LO doesn't work
on XP SP2. 
Unfortunately, I can't upgrade that machine to SP3 but hope to get some time
and test this in VM. Will report back with my findings...

Don't you need to upgrade to sp3 on xp ? This seems to be the minimum
requirement for visual c++, if compiled with visual studio.

If the reporter upgrades to xp sp3 and the program works, it's NOTABUG. Then
the LO minimal system requirements should be changed as well.
I don't know which compiler you use to compile LO or which part of the program
makes use of the VC++ libs, but this would be the most logical, for the moment.

Björn, I am aware of Microsoft's end of support for Windows XP but it has
nothing to do with this bug. System requirements for LibreOffice clearly states
that it can run on Windows XP SP2 but that is not the case. Something needs to
change... This should be fixed, or LibreOffice requirements should be adjusted
accordingly. 
In case of not supporting Windows XP anymore requirements page should be
revised and installer should fail gracefully when trying to install on Windows
XP.

Clearly, those two bugs are not identical. It is visible in two screenshots
that error messages are different and even dll is different. Please recheck
