Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED, if the problem persists. Change to RESOLVED
WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.

Ok, let's set this to INVALID.
Maybe next time you can try uninstalling first and then doing a complete
reinstall for 5.

Unfortunately I needed the program and uninstalled the version 5 and went back
to 4.4.6 so I could carry on. I did not have the opportunity to test your
theory.

You went on windows from a 32 bit version 4.4.6 to a 64 bit version 5, right ?!
Then you might have some x64 files missing. Try installing vcredist_x64.exe
from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=40784
(click on download) and see if that works.
