If you are using Firefox and log into a site with credentials and then try and
paste content with edit > copy and edit > paste into LibreOffice, it hangs.
This makes sense, because LibreOffice is attempting to fetch the data and
cannot because he site requires an account/password.
A number of approaches come to mind, but in some way it should be able to
detect this condition and do a paste special unformatted and make no attempt to
"link" to the content in the clipboard.
The work around with Xwindows is to use the highlight and middle-paste feature,
which works very nicely and does not deadlock on the same content. If this
would be replicated on all operating systems, and be the default that would
work great.
We get a few calls a week from users that are doing this, and don't understand
why the paste won't work.
